• Great kitchen area in the room.
• The food was very poor.

“The hotel we were scheduled to have was full, so they upgraded us to the hotel next door - Crowne plaza. It was new and very nice interior. The best pool/hot tub we have experienced at a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was the quality of the food. I think we ate powdered eggs, but it was free.”

• Could not get adjoining rooms with our grown children.

“The Fairfield had overbooked so they put us next door at the Crown Royal and comped us two days of breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. It was great!”

• The front desk hotel staff was very rude including the manager on duty.

“We were upgraded to the crown plaza next door to the Fairfield due to some problems with the rooms. We got the mini suite for the same price at the Fairfield. I appreciate that the Fairfield took care of us. So I would have to say that they are both great and would recommend to anyone.”

“The original hotel was full, so they put us up in the Crowne Plaza which was across the parking lot. It was very clean, new and quiet. They have a nice small gym. All staff were friendly and accommodating.”

• Quest ;aundry, spacious parking place, and breakfast complimentary.
• It was cool at first but must have raised the thermostat.

• I liked the amenities, the breakfast and other public areas, location was convenient. Good restaurants nearby.

“Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Rooms and other facilities were clean. Exercise facilities and pool were easily accessible. Quiet hotel even though there were school sports teams staying there. Beds could have been more comfortable, but that was my only complaint.”

• Very nice hotel, central location in Anchorage, very convenient.
• Nothing I disliked.

“I will stay at this hotel again; it is great for children or just adults. It has a quite reading area with a couple different internet access places. Swimming pool is nice. Most of all great location. It is very centrally located. Close to shopping, restaurants, airport, and movies-all within 2 mi. I will be staying here next time I go to Anchorage.”

• Room was not clean, very cheaply put together, staff was weird, the reason we were staying the, staff unsympathetic due to reserving room on line.

“This hotel is extremely uneventful with a staff that truly does not care whether your stay is a good one or not. Even though it is a new hotel, the lobby was in the repair with what looked like police tape through out the lobby and various pieces of furniture.”

• Clean, rooms well appointed and new-appearing (carpets not worn, etc.)
• Location could have been better (closer to downtown) but otherwise OK.

“I think I've pretty well covered it above. The elevator was a little slow. There were no stairs near the elevator, only at the ends of the building. This must meet the Anchorage fire codes but it seems to me that stairways near the elevator, near the center of the building, would be nice to have, especially in case of a fire!”

• The lobby had two computers with free internet access when my computer died they were convenient, decent free breakfast as well.
• Very thin walls, could hear the next door rooms and people in the halls.

“If you stay at this hotel you do need a rental car. It is far from the downtown area but easy to find from the airport. The free breakfast had make your own waffles, yogurt, and microwave breakfast sandwiches in addition to the normal continental breakfast offerings of cereal, muffins, juice, coffee, etc.”

• Near airport, nice indoor pool and hot tub.
• We didnt know until we got there that there was an indoor pool. We would have brought our swim suits.

• Room did not have a comfortable chair to sit in while reading or relaxing.

“Convenient Midtown location. There is adequate parking and easy driving access to several good chain restaurant. If you are in Anchorage to shop this is a great choice. If you are in town to attend a Downtown cultural event the location is not so wonderful because Downtown parking is a problem.”

• Brand new hotel was neat, clean and family friendly.

“It's definitely somewhere we'd stay again - the free breakfast buffet, the crib for the baby, the pool and Jacuzzi and super friendly staff and free computer use was outstanding!”

• So surprised! Nice hotel exceeded my expectations!
• Pillows were the only problem all of them were down.

• They would not change your room type.

“This is a great hotel. However be careful if your booking it on line because they will not change your room type. They will only give you one bed regardless of how many people you are traveling with.”

• The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel had the best continental breakfast I had ever seen.
• The heating system needs an overhaul we froze the second night there.

“This hotel is accommodating for families as well as business clients. The continental breakfast is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Housekeeping does a great job in keeping the facilities clean.”

• The Continental Breakfast and Coffee all the time is Great.
• Not having newspapers on the weekends. Vending machines usually are out too!

“Very clean, very nice hotel. Computer use in Lobby is great. Very nice friendly staff. Wish there were fans in the bathroom though. Nice to have extra blankets in the rooms to use. I travel with my wife and we have lots of business, and leisure when permitted.”

• It was very clean, nice presentation.
• We were incorrectly told there was airport shuttle.

“Everything was nice and it was very clean. We were told there was an airport shuttle, and my husband went to meet the shuttle- and was then told by another staff that there was not a shuttle. A mix up I guess, but inconvenient. In spite of that, everything was fine.”
