Leigh from Prescott,AZ “The hotel is attractive and the employees were very friendly and helpful.” Dec 1, 2009 by
Jason from Willow,AK
“Good location to airport. Friendly staff. Great Lobby ambiance. Rooms are dated except for some new furniture. I wouldn't pay full price for a room here, but for $55 it is worth it to stay here.” Nov 26, 2009 by
Marguerite from Fairbanks,AK
“This hotel is safe, has a restaurant and has a great location. The lobby is beautiful but the carpets in the room are very old and in the hallways. Feels worn down. The upkeep is lacking. Our hair dryer, TV remote, and phone did not work properly. There were bugs in the ice bucket. The room size was wonderful. two sinks and counters. I felt the hotel needed to do some upkeep on the place to be a 3 1/2 star. But with that upkeep it could become a 3 1/2 star again.” Nov 3, 2009 by
Irene from Mentasta Lake,AK
“I plan on staying there again.” Sep 10, 2009 by
Billie from Lake Elsinore,CA
“I was asked if I wanted help with my bags when I arrived at the hotel. I said yes, the man got a cart, loaded my bags, moved them inside, and I didn't see him again. I had to take the cart to the elevator and unload it myself at my room. Having had back surgery, I wasn't happy. In the morning they had 1 man to bellhop and drive the shuttle. Even though I started 40 minutes early, I just made it in time for my flight.” Sep 9, 2009 by
Lois from Kenai,AK “I was very disappointed. It was our anniversary so I asked for an up grade to king bed. The gentleman I spoke with told me it was taken care of. we got to the room and had 2 double beds. I immediately called the desk and was told that I did not call and that I did not get an upgrade (obviously). The person on the phone was not willing to help me in anyway. It went from getting an upgrade for 20 dollars to it was going to cost an extra 100 a night. She was very rude and ruined the time we had there. I will not go back. We told her we wanted to check out since they had not kept their word and we were told they would charge us anyway. I will not do business there again and will not refer others there.” Sep 8, 2009 by
Rob from Ringoes,NJ
“Hotel (and I use the word loosely) was in sore need of renovation. Room was broken down, filthy carpet, smelled, lumpy mattress. Main areas very dark. Near the airport and not near downtown - which is where you want to be unless you are an airline crew. I do not recommend this hotel at any price.” Aug 30, 2009 by
Vernon from Fairbanks,AK
“The Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage in Anchorage, AK has always accepted our bids through Priceline. Thank you both for providing the services.” Aug 17, 2009 by
Gary from Bothell,WA
“Overall, condition dirty/ dingy.” Aug 17, 2009 by
D from Oak Brook,IL
“Very close to the airport, friendly staff. We got a room on the first floor. The hallway had an odor. The room size was big but smelled like mildew. Very small bathroom and double bed was just OK. Small refrigerator was convenient. The counter top close to the refrigerator was spacious.” Aug 15, 2009 by
George from Juneau,AK
“Nice.” Jul 22, 2009 by
Dean from Sandy,UT
“Mixed reviews. I loved the location, beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was perfect. Nice blinds to block out the summer night light. The "Business Center" was really crappy, I spent more time feeding the computer dollar bills than work on slow machines. Floors (carpet) was cleaner than the hallway but still noticeably dirty.” Jun 24, 2009 by
Kay from Homer,AK
“Overall it was very adequate (except no refrigerator to keep soft drinks, water and cheese, etc. in). The location is pretty good as it is easy to get to other areas without much trouble.” Jun 3, 2009 by
Kaitlin from Memphis,TN
“The sleeping room was in dire need of renovation as well as the public areas.” Jun 2, 2009 by
Diane from Bethel,AK
“This hotel was probably nice several years ago. It has fallen into a state of disrepair. The wallpaper in the room was peeling, the carpet was threadbare, one of the elevators was not working, the furnishings were old.” Jun 2, 2009 by
Tina from Minneapolis,MN
“The room was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds. However, they charged me for wireless internet services in my room. Also, there is an in-window air conditioner that did a poor job of cooling our room.” May 29, 2009 by
Leonard from Detroit,MI
“A bit tattered public spaces. Beautiful decor of lobby and rooms, though. Nice room design with double vanities. Underwhelming gym, needs improvement. Outstanding friendly front desk attitude and efficient service more than make up for the shortcomings. I would rate it a 3-star if the food/bar were open later and night and if the May 20, 2009 by

“Had a great time, staff was awesome, nice room, view from the bar was awesome it's close to everything.” Apr 23, 2009 by
Bill from Denali National Park,AK
“This was once a nice place, I'm sure. Now, it is a bad place to stay. The air conditioner was in the window. Even though the temperatures outside were 30 to 45, I had to run the air conditioner on high cold 24 hours a day and even then it was above 70. I had to check in and out every day I was there, or my card quit working and I had to ask for room clean up both days. There was a stain on the carpet. 2 to 2.5 stars maximum. I will never stay there again.” Apr 22, 2009 by
Denis from Toronto,Canada
“Do not book here unless you have your own car. This location is terribly far from city of anchorage. The free shuttle has very limited schedule.” Apr 13, 2009 by
Randy from Talkeetna,AK
“Very dirty parking lot, lots of cigarette butts and trash.” Mar 25, 2009 by
Cort from North Pole,AK
“Travels to the hotel late at night, arrived about 2:00am, front desk had us checked in already. Went to our room in a very Mar 24, 2009 by

“Nice staff. It was the first time we've eaten at the Millenium where we found the food second rate and more expensive. But the wait staff was good at their jobs. We also thought the maid service was good, but weren't happy at having them knock on the door by 8am.” Mar 24, 2009 by
Michael from Seattle,WA
“Definitely not a high quality hotel.” Mar 21, 2009 by
Tom from Seward,AK
“The hotel was unclean, had water damages on ceiling, carpet was stained, and not vacuumed still had m&m's scattered on carpet, counters were not clean. Would never recommend staying there to anyone.” Mar 21, 2009 by
James from Soldotna,AK
“Had a nice large clean room facing the lake and was really surprised we got a room there because the iditarod race had started and this hotel was the base of operations.” Mar 9, 2009 by
Kathi from Sterling,AK
“The room was freezing cold due to the window being left wide open all day (winter in Alaska) and it took forever to warm it up. The room had not been vacuumed, the bathroom was old fixtures, no hair conditioner, the coffee pot had old coffee left in it.” Mar 6, 2009 by
Sharon from Wasilla,AK
“The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well kept. The room was clean, bed comfortable, enough pillows - for the most part very nice.” Mar 2, 2009 by
stephanie from Sitkaa,AK
“Rustic, quiet and good location.” Feb 21, 2009 by
Julie from Yankton,SD
“The room was very relaxing and the bed was just like sleeping at home on my own. It was also nice and quiet, even though the parking lot appeared to look like there were many guests staying.” Feb 20, 2009 by
Donna from Soldotna,AK
“Elevator did not work, ice machine did not work on the floor I stayed.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Bruce from Soldotna,AK
“A popular hotel, convenient to the airport, travelers, having conference/meeting rooms and catering to groups. Food good but too spendy for an average guy: for example, steaks ran from $31 to 50-something (ala carte!).” Feb 19, 2009 by
Claudia from Homer,AK
“We discovered that the bathroom had not been cleaned when we checked in. When we notified the front desk the next morning they said they would have it cleaned by the time we returned to the room. It was not and I had to again request that the room be cleaned. It was eventually taken care of, but not to my satisfaction. It was disappointing because we have enjoyed staying there in the past, but will not again.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Gina from Anchorage,AK
“They did’t clean our room on Sunday. There was no hot water in the shower Sunday at noon. The bedside light bulb was burned out. I asked for it to be replaced. It never was. There was no guest services folio in the room. I asked for one to be delivered. It never was. The hot tub was not hot. A used food tray sat in our hallway for 24 hrs before being removed.” Feb 11, 2009 by
Joy from Valdez,AK
“The first day the maid arrived at 0800 asking did we need anything. We said no. We were gone for the whole day, arriving at midnight to find she never came back. The next day we asked for clean towels and left and she never came back again!! 3 days -- no svc!! There is no pool and the hot tub area had no facilities (bathrooms locked up)!” Feb 6, 2009 by
Wendy from Seward,AK
“This hotel seems to be geared to wards business travelers. I would not stay there if my kids where with me there no pool and the hallways are extremely long and they always give the room way on the other end of the hotel. Several times I got it into my room and the heat is turn up to 80 seems like a waste of fuel.” Feb 4, 2009 by
Jennifer from Seward,AK
“This is definitely a 3.5 star hotel in any other city. It was clean and the room was spacious but that's about it. The first night I had a cold shower and the front desk just shrugged their shoulders and said sorry.” Feb 2, 2009 by
Amanda from Seward,AK
“This used to be a nicer hotel due to its location, but it is scary to be in the parking lot. The towels are from the 90's, it was hot in my dirty room, it has just gone downhill.” Dec 26, 2008 by
Kenneth from Kenai,AK
“It's not a bad hotel but no way should be 3.5 star.” Dec 24, 2008 by
Heather from Kenai,AK
“This is the second time in a month that I have stayed at the hotel. The first time, the lobby was filled with the smell of woodsmoke which would not be good if you are an asthmatic. This problem seems to have been resolved, but the rooms are very old and the whole hotel is showing a lot of wear and tear. The first room I stayed in had beard stubble in the sink and large dust bunnies in the corner by the wall and lamp. The second room had a used bathrobe hanging behind the bathroom door and there was dirt splattered on the shower wall. Needless to say, the housekeeping in this hotel is not the best.” Dec 12, 2008 by
Susan from Soldotna,AK
“We like this hotel for it's accessibility to the airport and on-site restaurant and lounge. Our room was clean, but we could not get the heat to work (winter time in Alaska) and one light was out over the bathroom sink. Some areas need to be updated with new carpeting and paint. I don't think the rooms deserve a 3-star rating.” Dec 10, 2008 by
Jeff from Delta Junction,AK
“The room was very nice and large. Beds were a bit soft for my taste. Accessing the internet was problematic. The Comcast browser on the TV was practically unusable because it was outdated and we could not get reliable bars for the wireless internet. The hotel restaurant was very good. The air system was very good and we didn't wake up feeling all dried out like at some hotels.” Dec 3, 2008 by
Chris from Soldotna,AK
“This hotel obviously had some extensive remodeling. The newer portions have a very nice Alaskan ambiance. Unfortunately, the older rooms that they tried to make fit in with the remodel do not fit in. You have to walk down a very long winding dark and dirty hall to get to your room. They give you two very small beds that barely accommodate one person (I didn't have the option to select a king bed). The room creaked when you walked and it is clear that they just put fancy fixtures on dump of a room. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a safe, quiet and comfortable nights sleep.

“This is an old hotel and some of the amenities are showing their age. Hallway carpeting, etc. Overall though, it has been well maintained and we would stay there again.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Chris from Kenai, AK
“Good for the price during summer rush.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Jim from Austin, TX
“Very nice. Still a little expensive.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Howard from Prince Fredrick, MD
“The Millennium Anchorage does not meet the expectations set by the Millennium chain. Service and staff was fine, the place is just worn- new carpets would be a real good start.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Mary from Mountlake Terrace, WA
“The downtown location was very convenient and the view was spectacular. Also, the jade staircase and the native art on the walls was impressive. However, they just don't make up for the service and lack of amenities. We were in a newly remodeled room and still there was broken glass on the table tops (a big hazard for young children), the bathroom door stuck so badly that none of the kids could get in or out on their own, they de-activated our room keys 4 out of the 6 days we stayed (with no apology and made us go through hotel security checks before they would re activate them every time!). The toilet barely flushed and the sink was permanently clogged due to a sticky drain plug. I would hate to see one of the rooms that wasn't remodeled! Also, the lobby in front and back were always so crowded with busloads of cruisers that we had to wait several minutes to get to the elevator or out to the parking lot on most trips in or out of the hotel. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone. The room service food quality was very excellent, but it does bother me to pay $19 plus 15% gratuity plus 2.50 service charge and 5% house charge for a children's hamburger that doesn't come with a drink or a side dish. To feed two adults and two small children a light meal was $89.96! We all loved Anchorage and are already planning our next trip back, but we will try either the Captain Cook, the Hilton, or the Millennium.” Jun 28, 2008 by
Al from Bend, OR
“I would have expected the hotel to live up to it's 3 star rating. This hotel was more like a motel in a seedy area. It was outdated, poorly maintained and very disappointing. Because of the long list of discrepancies it was difficult to get adequate rest.” May 14, 2008 by
Mary J. from Kenai, AK
“We live about 3 hrs away from anchorage in a small town and it is great that we can afford a trip to anchorage once in awhile and shop and eat out.”
