• We loved the location and the staff.
• Nothing.

“We were here for a week. The hotel is excellent, clean, secure, great location. Our room was outstanding, a large room with a king and queen bed, views of the mountains and downtown. We loved not having to pay for parking. The hotel is a quick walk to all the restaurants and shopping in the downtown area. Lovely lady that works there. Recommend to everyone.”

• No in hotel restaurant but a great one is across the street.

“We were a bunch of medical types in Anchorage for a meeting. We chose this hotel because of the location and recommendation of other MDs that had stayed there. We loved it. The best small hotel we have ever stayed in. Wonderful rooms, great location, great breakfast, and great host.”

• Excellent and very comfortable beds.
• Housekeeping leaves to be desired: room could have been cleaner and was not made up on our second day.

“This small hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance from downtown Anchorage. The price level compares favorably to other comparable facilities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are excellent and extremely comfortable. On the downside, we did not find our room overly clean; a potato chip from a previous guest was still underneath the bed and certain hard to reach areas (such as the space between the bathroom wall and the washbasin) had obviously not been cleaned in quite some time. Also, the room was not made up after our first night and our towels were not replaced.”

• Leaky toilet. Everything was dirty and stinky.

“Do not go to this hotel. It is dirty and cheesy. I had stains on the blanket and the rooms smelled.”

• This hotel was perfect for my husband and me. The rooms were small but had all amenities, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot.
• The only thing we didn't like was that the door from the parking lot was always locked due to security, but I can understand that.

“The rooms were small but were very clean. It was very quiet and everyone was very friendly. We had everything we needed in our room refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. The location was excellent and the price was even better. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.”

“The name has been changed for 2+ years. It is Americas Best Value Inn/Anchorage Downtown Hotel. Anyway: I have stayed at this small hotel several times during the past year. Each time I was highly impressed by the service of the owners. They treat everyone like family. The hotel is small and very quite. it sits in the shadows of several large chain hotels, but has a chartered of it's own. Small, family operated, free parking, free wifi in the rooms, in room fridge, coffee maker, microwave cannot be beat. If you want a nice quite place to stay and do not need the bars and restaurants of the large hotels then this is the place.”

• Loved the security, doors kept locked key required to enter.
• Liked everything.

“Loved the location, just a short walk to everything Downtown. The security is great, locked doors, buzzer or key to enter. Also liked the large room with a king sized bed. Another plus is the free parking lot just at the back door only 10 steps from auto to door, a real plus in Alaska during the winter. Free Wi-Fi, free use of office equipment is also a plus. Overall, this is the best small hotel in anchorage. Recommend to anyone that does not need a 5 star hotel. A nice family operated small hotel.”
