• Okay location.
• Toilet was absolutely disgusting, poorly cleaned for past several users.

“This is in no way a 2 star hotel when you compare it with a Hampton inn or Fairfield. Bathroom was disgusting and toilet was obviously not cleaned at all, covered with hair and piss. Ridiculous, I would not stay there!”

• The hotel is close to the airport and time to town is ok.
• The egress is not good because you have to take back roads to get to town.

• Bathroom had used soap and shampoo in tub.

“Good experience, good price. Close to airport, but a ways from town with no transportation for town services, i.e. food, shopping. Not many services available at the hotel.”

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
• That I could smell cigarette smoke in the halls.

“My only complaint is that I had a non smoking room and I could smell cigarettes by my door and in the hall.”

• Tidy, clean, professional staff and friendly atmosphere.
• Location is ok, non smoking room was not, you could smell the smoke.

“This is a nice and comfortable hotel with a friendly and professional staff. There are computers for customer use. The location is not the greatest, but only a few minutes from the airport.”

• The rooms were very comfortable, nice hotel, free Internet access.
• Strong smell of smoke In hallways.

“We liked this hotel and would stay again. The desk people (one at check In and another at check out) were not really friendly, but the room was very nice. We missed the extras In the bathrooms like hair dryer. The bed was comfortable as well.”

• The rooms were decorated nicely and were spacious.
• No blow dryer, no microwave, scant shampoo, soap.

“One of the beds had several hairs (pubic) in the sheets. It's hard to say how it happened, perhaps someone used the bed, and then made it, and housekeeping didn't think it had been used. Either way, it was an inconvenience to discover at bedtime. This same thing happened at another hotel the next night in Anchorage (the Comfort Inn) Perhaps the hotels need to put signs in the rooms to their guests asking them to strip their sheets before checkout to insure the sheets are changed.”

• Nice hotel for the price I paid.
• Nothing, wish I got there sooner to try out amenities.

“I always base my decision as to where to stay in anchorage by price. If I do not get my price we do not stay overnight. We will drive the three hours home. The room was nice. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke but that was the only bad among many good.”

• It was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable, the room was also larger than I expected.
• They did a poor job with the continental breakfast, it was very minimal and the only thing I though was a let down at this hotel.

“This hotel was very clean and conveniently located near the airport. The room was larger than I expected and the furnishing where clean, the bed was very comfortable with nice linens and the hall ways were wide, which added to the hotels feel and appearance of spaciousness. The staff was friendly, the workout area looked well maintained, and a computer was available for travelers to use. The continental breakfast offered a poor selection of items, which would have been greatly improved with the addition of some fruit and yogurt. I would recommend this hotel to my friends more for business travel then a romantic get away. Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel and would say that it met and exceeded my expectations. On a scale of one to 10 I give it a 7+.”

• It had couch, 2 chairs and a table, fridge and micro.
• No iron or board in the room or a hair dryer.

“It was roomy and comfortable but I feel with more then one story there should have been an elevator since the room we were given was a handicapped accessible room it would be hard with someone with disabilities.”

• The room was clean, and quiet, plus the bed was very comfortable.
• We were assigned to a smoking room.

“We had stayed at Microtel before and had pleasant, helpful staff, this time I think the young woman maybe was tired and not helpful. The beds at this hotel are the most comfortable ones compared to many other hotels that are an important item.”

• Clean, nice, good continental breakfast, friendly staff.
• They did not replenish my coffee, creamer, sugar, shampoo and lotion.

“This is a nice hotel with a friendly and professional staff. They are clean and tidy and humbly apologized for not replenishing the items used. The location is not very good for shopping around town, but very close to the airport and easy access to the airport as well. Continental breakfast starts at 6 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. for late risers. ”

• To much noise.

“Its clean, but to many people in the hotel that like to party all night hard to get to from downtown parking is free but the hotel lets people park their cars while out of town so parking is hard to find on the lot, and there is no other place to park in the area its kind of out of the way for me to stay on a business trip. front desk person seems to be to busy on the comp all the time.”

• Hot tub open 24 hrs.
• Took my towels and did not leave any called me for signature at 1030pm.

“The hotel is clean but staff seems to be more interested in watching TV and visiting with each other than in you as a customer. Maids did not empty trash the whole three nights that I stayed there. They took my towels and did not leave any. Hotel is hard to get to from downtown anchorage to many people hanging around the entrance? Not sure why.”

• Hot tubs were very nice.
• Continental breakfast poor, i.e. Instant coffee from dispenser. They could do much better.

“The hotel is convenient to airport, just a couple miles. All in all it is above average, but for the price at this star rating, we've stayed in others that were much better regarding the "continental breakfast". For us this seems to be the icing on the cake...the more selection of food items, the better. This way you don't have to go out, spending time and drop $20-30 for breakfast at a restaurant.”

• Very thin wall and door - you can hear everything in the hallway and room next door.

“Hotel exceeded our expectations. However, from 10 pm to 5 am there was a very loud party in the room next to mine which kept me awake. The guests got kicked out at 5 am. Upon check out, I thought I might receive some sort of a comp, but got nothing. Disappointed with that.”

“Nice staff. I was able to make free phone calls and they allowed me to use their own fax and copier machines. That was huge. Nice continental breakfast also!”

• The over-All quietness, giving us a good night sleep.
• The Temporary road construction and small parking area.

“We were pleased with our stay and will look forward to staying there again in the near future. They have comfortable, clean rooms and very quite atmosphere. The Staffing were polite and helpful.”
