Nicolle from Tucson,AZ
“The rooms are lovely as is the view of the golf course if you are able to stay in a room with a view. If you enjoy working out while on vacation, the fitness center has up to date equipment and is open 24 hours. The use of the steam and dry saunas in the shower/dressing area of the spa is complimentary for hotel guests. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and happily took care of some of our special needs. We absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling for leisure in Monterey!” Oct 14, 2009 by
David from Daytona Beach,FL
“The hotel is what you expect from an upscale hotel! The decor, bedding, and bathroom were excellent. The campus is huge and would be good for golfers or business travelers. While we enjoyed our stay, we would have liked to be closer to downtown to be able to walk around more.” Oct 6, 2009 by
Lisa from Houston,TX
“The hotel had a nice lobby with live music on the weekends, and a coffee bar in the am with pastries. The continental breakfast was pricey as was coffee and pasties. Continental breakfast was 20 dollars, limited but good. Staff was very helpful and friendly and they went out of their way to be helpful. Public space out back was nice, fire in the evening, fireplace in lobby. Did not care much for the furniture-style of the Asian inspired rooms, but they were clean, no AC, made it a very stuffy room. Joe on duty was great, a wonderful staff member.” Oct 5, 2009 by
Shelley from San Mateo,CA
“Its a very nice hotel, just a little close to the freeway. I asked for a quiet room and the second room they gave us was much better than the first one. Very quiet.” Oct 5, 2009 by
Chris from Torrance,CA
“Awesome location for getting around and right next to golf course. Enjoyed the walking around the hotel grounds. Rooms were recently remodeled as well as the rest of the hotel. Nice.” Oct 1, 2009 by
Wesley from Goleta,CA
“Great hotel. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a romantic get away!” Sep 15, 2009 by
Cheryl from Oakland,CA
“Excellent location and atmosphere.” Sep 5, 2009 by
Lisa from Templeton,CA
“Clean, well located;,many choices in hotel rooms based on.” Sep 5, 2009 by
Ron from Princeton Junction,NJ
“A very large resort, able to accommodate multiple affairs. Felt very impersonal, checked in using a self serve kiosk. Had to track down someone for directions to room.” Sep 3, 2009 by
dave from Austin,TX
“This is a great hotel with convenient access to everything. Didn't have AC which can be difficult if you hit a hot spell and have to open windows. This can contribute to road noise if you have a street side room. Public carpets need a cleaning if not replacement altogether, and the only working soda machine was on the other side of the property. Staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant. Able to buy aquarium tics at desk and tried to land some free ones for us, to no avail, however. Also tried to get late dinner at 9:15pm but were told they couldn't accommodate as closing early. They are supposed to be open till 10pm. It was a Sunday night so I suppose they wanted to close early despite others in the restaurant still eating. No big deal if you are flexible. We didn't have kids but is family friendly, as well as great place for a couples (us). Would stay again for the right price.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Shane from Woodland,CA
“Overall a nice hotel. I would stay again.” Aug 12, 2009 by
Christine from Sonora,CA “We were very pleased with the hotel and enjoyed our stay there. I would love to stay there again.” Aug 11, 2009 by
Terry from Antioch,CA
“We were celebrating our anniversary. We were given a room at the complete far end of the property of the hotel with 2 double beds. They were not even queen size beds. Saw many balconies around the property. We had no balcony and a view of some cars in a back parking lot.” Aug 11, 2009 by
Pam from Visalia,CA
“Hotel is in a great location just off freeway. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful.” Aug 1, 2009 by
Mel from Fresno,CA
“If we had a room that was not next to a room full of rude partiers, a broken TV, a broken fridge that leaked all over the carpet, it would have been a wonderful trip.” Aug 1, 2009 by
Diane from Belvidere,IL
“The spa was so nice and the people working there. Everything was so up to date and clean. The pool was a ackward shape with no graphics making it hard to swim laps. Rooms need some sort of sound proofing, neighbors kepted us awake.” Jul 31, 2009 by
John from Hillsborough,CA
“Very nice hotel for the price that I paid.” Jul 28, 2009 by
Marlynn from Fresno,CA
“We love staying here. It is so comfortable.” Jul 28, 2009 by
Anne from Menlo Park,CA
“Reasonably convenient for business and all the basics - comfortable and clean. Friendly staff.” Jul 21, 2009 by
Barbara from Stockton,CA
“Everything was fine about this hotel, the room was nice, the view was beautiful. Parking was very hard to find at night. What was most disturbing was on the 2nd night of our 3 night stay, we found old food in the mini refrigerator, and it was starting to smell. I called to the front desk, I left a note for housekeeping (they obviously received it, because the tip was gone). I had to call again, and I was told someone would come up immediately. We waited, and finally called again, saying we were leaving for dinner. It was taken care of by the time we returned, and had I not said anything at checkout, no one would have known. Nothing was noted in my reservation.” Jul 18, 2009 by
Kathleen from Merced,CA
“My family and I will like to come back and stay again.” Jul 15, 2009 by
Stephen from West Hartford,CT
“Picturesque location on a golf course. Spacious room. Staff friendly although we arrived at 7 (check in time is 4 or 3) and rooms were not cleaned. This was not good. Did not appreciate that guests have to pay to play tennis on premises of hotel.” Jul 15, 2009 by
Meghan from Carmichael,CA
“The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable.” Jul 13, 2009 by
Tracy from Fresno,CA
“The hotel was super clean and somewhat convenient location. The room was very quiet even though we were right off the freeway. The are several choices on where to dine. The pool and spa were nice. The fire pit area was awesome.” Jul 10, 2009 by
Laura from Visalia,CA
“There is no AC, which is OK except if you have a sliding glass window that opens to the parking lot. It does not allow for enough air flow. Nice pool area, relaxing site and lobby. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning, but the prices were way too high.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Mary from Petaluma,CA
“The employees made our stay memorable. We were upgraded to a suite (from a king room) at no extra cost! Unbelievable.” Jul 5, 2009 by
Meredith from Diamond Springs,CA “During our stay at the Hyatt Regency, Monterey, my husband had a medical crisis and subsequent emergency surgery. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating, putting us in a room close to the lobby and restaurants, and telling us to contact the front desk 24 hours a day if there was anything at all we needed. Wonderful, friendly staff and it turned out to be a wonderful stay! We couldn't be happier.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Brent from Peyton,CO
“Having to pay for internet in addition to a $15/day resort fee really bugs me. Highway noise was a problem. The room was excellent.” Jun 30, 2009 by
Leah from Chico,CA
“Our room was spacious. Beds had to be remade because they were dirty (i.e. hairs, etc. found inside the sheets!) Hairs also found on bathroom sink. Once beds were remade with clean linens, we found them to be quite comfortable. There is no AC in this hotel but ceiling fans are in the rooms and it's cool enough in this area to have the window open. AC wasn't really necessary. The grounds are beautiful but the building layout was a bit confusing at first. We stayed in Building 12, but you have to use the elevator in Building 14 to access upper levels of Building 12, 14 & 15. TV remote didn't work to turn on/off the TV. Internet access is available, but there is a charge for it. We were a little disappointed since we expected more from a Hyatt.” Jun 15, 2009 by
Christy from Redwood Valley,CA
“Nice place to stay. Very spread out. Had to drive to get to the different amenities. The bathrooms are newly remodeled but super cramped for space.” May 31, 2009 by
Craig from Paducah,KY
“The hotel is clean and the rooms have been renovated. Its not four star quality but is a solid 3 or 3 1/2. Although located on a golf course the hotel is about 10 minutes from other restaurants and the setup is more like like a motel than a hotel. On a positive note, parking was free. I would not stay at this hotel again.” May 29, 2009 by
Karthik from San Jose,CA
“Great location, close to aquarium, and easy access to freeway. Unbelievable price on priceline. Room did not have enough towels and toiletries and upon asking took too much time to send them to room. Overall it was a great stay at the price I have paid on Priceline.” May 28, 2009 by
Maya and Ryan from Maricopa,AZ
“I would give this hotel an overall 6 based upon problems with broken items on property and in hotel room, no assigned parking, and when we got the bill we were being charged a $15 per day resort fee for use of amenities which was then taxed at 10%. Room service also got our order wrong for breakfast on our wedding day, which caused us to be 45 minutes late for our own ceremony due to waiting for the correct food and having to delay hair, make-up, etc because of it. Room itself was very clean and housekeeping was friendly and efficient.” May 24, 2009 by
Sal from Ripon,CA
“Nice spa-like hotel, however the roads into the hotel were difficult to determine on a map.” May 6, 2009 by
Amiee from Manteca,CA
“This hotel is so beautiful and amazing. Me and my boyfriend loved it! We went to both bars and we wandered the golf course. It was all such an amazing experience. By far the best part of our trip was the hotel experience.” May 1, 2009 by
Eben from Hollister,CA
“Very nice. Could hear my neighbors doing normal tasks at three in the morning. No matches for fireplace. But over all a nice hotel/resort. Staff was great.” May 1, 2009 by
Ryan from Houston,TX
“Very nice Hyatt resort complex spread out bordering the Del Monte golf course. Clean modern rooms. Heated pool and hot tub. Good service. A very positive experience.” Apr 30, 2009 by
Jeffrey from Granite Bay,CA
“Hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and value. Comfortable, new decorations and furniture, beautiful bathroom, and generally quiet, except for a brief period when a high school prom crowd made some noise. Also, we had to unplug the refrigerator because it made a loud humming noise.” Apr 29, 2009 by
Joyce from Sunnyvale,CA
“- Nice and friendly staff. - New and modern lobby design. - New and modern furniture with flat screen TV. - Comfortable mattress and bedding. The 2-bed room has double beds instead of queen-sized beds, little small for 2 people to share. - Room is clean and spacious. - Spacious shower with big shower head. Not enough water pressure though. - Parking is close to the room.” Apr 23, 2009 by
Juan from Pinole,CA
“I enjoyed the hotel amenities and service but was very disappointed with the parking situation. My wife and I went out to dinner, and when we returned, spent a good 20 minutes trying to find a parking spot. When we did, it was a long walk back to our building. I would never expect this at a Hyatt Hotel!” Apr 22, 2009 by
Andrew from Daly City,CA
“A great hotel in a great area.” Apr 20, 2009 by
Jakob from Saratoga,CA
“The room is spacious and clean. However the bathroom was not designed for families. The pool was clean and nice. The swirl pool was cold though.” Apr 17, 2009 by
Rlobert from Pleasant Hill,CA
“Excellent and very comfortable beds.” Apr 15, 2009 by
David from Fremont,CA
“I think there were ticks or fleas in the room that I stayed. We felt itch during the stay inside the hotel and I can see rashes on our body like insect bite.” Apr 14, 2009 by
Amy from Fresno,CA
“The hotel is newly remodeled and beautiful. The rooms are simple and clean, the outdoor heated pool was great for the kids and the food at Knuckles was great!” Apr 13, 2009 by
Gary from Clovis,CA
“Hotel location is excellent in terms of proximity to golf, dining, and Monterey area attractions. The rooms have been remodeled and are very clean and the gym was top notch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were upgraded to a suite because they were out of rooms with two beds. They had two roll away beds for our children delivered before we even got to our room. The service was top notch.” Apr 12, 2009 by
John from Alta Loma,CA
“Very good experience. Have stayed at this hotel a number of times and will continue to do so.” Apr 10, 2009 by
from Davis,CA
