“This hotel is a good find for the price. It was borderline on a good/bad neighborhood. The staff was friendly and it is close to attractions as long as you have a car. One thing that I did not like was that the rooms were smaller than I had anticipated and parking was $20.00 a night and there was no self parking.” Aug 17, 2009 by
Amy from Oregon City,OR
“The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful, but this place is a joke. Twenty a night for parking, a fee for the business center, and keys that don't want to work.” Oct 17, 2008 by
Bob
“All good, would stay again.” Oct 15, 2008 by

“I liked my stay at the hotel.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Dan from Fresno, CA
“The hotel only has valet parking, the lobby was thee nicest part of the hotel, the rooms were very hot (the air worked only at a minimal level) the hotel/halls were humid, the rooms were moderate.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Stephanie from Westerville, OH
“Unfortunately the only good thing is its location, just across the street of a Metro station. The bathtub in my room was clogged without being fixed after I asked the front desk to send someone to take a look at it.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Igor from Cupertino, CA
“You do not expect to pay $20 every day for 4 days for parking when you stay in 2 star hotel. Restaurant was closed for dinner. No complimentary breakfast.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Kuo-Hua from Bloomington, IN
“Price and friendly staff.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Care from Las Vegas, NV
“There was trouble when it came to retrieving our vehicle on more than one occasion during our three day 2 night stay. The attendants misplaced our keys a few times and it took a while to get our car even though it was never placed in the garage and was less than 50 feet away. Also parking was overpriced.” May 20, 2008 by
Ravi from Forest Hills, NY
“Good location. Moderately clean. Spacious.” Jan 27, 2008 by
Carolyn from Sydney
“This hotel was an absolute joke. The sheets stopped a foot from the end of the bed and had holes in them. One morning our room was filled with cigarette smoke coming through the air conditioning vent. The noise form the street was terrible. There was no room service despite it being advertised. The concierge had no knowledge of the area and had to be coaxed to help us with anything, that is, when we found someone who could understand English and not just give us a blank look.” Aug 22, 2006 by
Will from Malden, MA
“Overall, it is an excellent place to stay.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Sue from La Grande, OR
“This hotel was absolutely the most "unclean" non customer oriented hotel I have ever stayed in! I was attending a convention and upon returning one evening to my room--there was a leak from the floor above which was pouring down into my room I telephoned the front desk-there was no answer after 22 rings, finally went to the desk the maintenance staff did not appear to fix the leak until 1 a.m. The previous day I had talked with the manager of the hotel about no response at the front desk--as I had previously tried to telephone the front desk with not response again after at least 20 rings!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When I first purchased the room the hotel was run by Radisson, when I arrived in Los Angeles Radisson was no longer the management. I also would give this hotel a "failing" grade in sanitation!” Dec 14, 2005 by
Joshua from Denver, CO
“Nice staff. In a very nice, clean, friendly area of town.” Dec 13, 2005 by
Uyen from San Francisco, CA
“Though the Radisson Wilshire isn't fancy, it had what I needed, and it was centrally located. I wish they had provided free breakfast and parking, but I appreciated the Wi-Fi access.” Dec 8, 2005 by
Robert from San Jose, CA
“When we arrived at the hotel the staff was unhelpful in terms of getting us a room in a timely manner in order to prepare for our meeting. They took our luggage while we waited to be able to check in and then once we were able to check in they could not remember where they stored our luggage. When we got to our room it was dirty (the floor was stained and unvacuumed, the bedspread stained, no coffee, etc.) Certainly not on par with even a 2 Star hotel. The bed was very hard, but that is not unusual. The curtains did not block out the light from outside and we had to safety pin them together in the middle. In the morning we still had not received any more coffee packets in the room. At check out the valet was very efficient and polite.” Dec 8, 2005 by
Joe from Phoenix, AZ
“Overall my stay was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay there again the valet and bell hop were very efficient and friendly.” Dec 7, 2005 by
Adolfo from San Diego, CA
“I like the hotel, but I couldn't use the pool, at night the traffic noise can be heard and in the morning is worst, and the room smell a little funny, like smoky. If you don't mind all this, this hotel is fine.” Dec 6, 2005 by
Jim from Alhambra, CA
“I remember this hotel as a Hyatt - Billy Joel was actually the lounge pianist here before he made it big. It has gone downhill considerably since, and the fact that it is now a Radisson doesn't surprise me. While the desk clerk was quite friendly, the number of key strokes that she had to enter to get me registered was far more than that of other properties I have visited. The room was clean, though run down, and there were no Internet facilities available. Don't recommend for more than an overnight stay at this star level.” Nov 29, 2005 by
Shaunagh from Bend, OR
“Staff was friendly but the rooms were small and the hotel was old, falling apart and things didn't work like the air conditioner and in LA this is crucial.” 2 of 4 people found this review helpful.Nov 28, 2005 by
Ken from Fairfield, CA
“The room was noisy and to warm, 77 to 80 degrees. The A/C did not work and the staff could not get it to work. The bed was old, and the rug was worn and soiled. The location was fine, the staff was friendly. I would stay there again.” Nov 27, 2005 by
Patrick from Troy, MI
“I will recommend to everybody going to LA not to stay in this hotel. Service and decoration are really disappointing for this king of quality rating.” Nov 27, 2005 by
Jason from Imperial Beach, CA
“From the time we entered the hotel, everyone was extremely friendly and gracious. Having worked in the hotel industry myself. I am sensitive to these important qualities. I enjoyed the location, centrally located between downtown and Beverly Hills. The lobby was elegantly appointed and luxurious. My only issue, was that the room seemed geared toward the solo business traveler. The only place to sit was the chair at the writing desk. Other than that, I would stay there again and recommend this hotel to others.” Nov 27, 2005 by
Anna from Cerritos, CA
“The hotel staff was rude, the room was horrible, the hallway smelled like urine, regrettable 4 nights stay at the Radisson. there is no way that hotel is rated 3 star. Very disappointing.” Nov 25, 2005 by
Debera from Gilbert, AZ
“I thought when I reserved my room it was to check out on the 23rd, they checked me out on the 22nd and would not budge to adjust the rate for that crappy room across the hall from the ice machine. My business associate got the same rate I paid for the Westin Bonnaventure and had a completely different experience. Can I control the hotel I get a reservation at next time.” Nov 24, 2005 by
Robert from Desert Hot Springs, CA
“We were told that we would have two queen beds and were given two double beds. We paid extra for two extra people so it was a bit cramped. Also the room was hot and we were informed that the A/C in the entire hotel was turned off. Best they could do was turn off the hot water to the heater and open the window to the street noise. ” Nov 23, 2005 by
Jim from Las Vegas, NV
“Hotel is convenient to convention center and plenty of places to eat. Right across the street from a Citibank. Older hotel with style and well kept and modernized.” Nov 23, 2005 by
Mario from Las Vegas, NV
“Upon arriving at the Hotel, we had requested ahead of time, a jointing rooms. Nobody knew anything about it. Then the room I did receive was suppose to be a non-smoking room. It was a bad stuffy odor, it look like some one had smoke in the room. I called the front desk, they said they will send some one up to the room to air the smoke out. The called the front desk about 5:00 pm, when I checked in, then I went to dinner I came back to the room about 11:00pm, and nothing was done to air out the room. The hotel management to satisfied us, they gave us complimentary breakfast coupons in place to try to help us with our dissatisfaction. When we had breakfast the next morning, it was the not to our satification, the food was cold as it can be, the bread was hard as it could be, it was the wrost hotel we have ever stay in,” Nov 23, 2005 by
Karla from Woodland Hills, CA
“The rooms are bare bones, offering little more than just a place to crash, not a pleasant atmosphere. The room smelled bad, the sink made odd noises because it was so clogged, the attendant downstairs had no information on local restaurants or grocery stores. ” Nov 20, 2005 by
Steven from Big Bear Lake, CA
“The hotel, overall, is very unfriendly and charges for many "extras" that are not advertised in advance. They charge $14.30 a day for parking and they will not let you park your own car or have access to your car after hours.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Karen from Pasadena, CA
“Horrible service, smells like cigarettes in the hallways, dirty sheets on the bed, and much more.” Nov 12, 2005 by
Tom from Los Angeles, CA
“The hotel was a C - quality and a D - location. The staff was fine. They did the best they could considering they work at a 2nd rate hotel in a part of Los Angeles County that is undesirable to stay in. Is inconveniently located. I am going to communicate my experience to every person I know, and every business or consumer publication I can.” Nov 11, 2005 by
Kevin from Lewisville, TX
“Stay some where else.” Nov 10, 2005 by

“The location is wonderful, right in the heart of L.A.'s famed Mid-Wilshire district, but thats where wonderful ends! Everything else about this hotel is horrible. My check in was uneventful, the staff member who helped me was ok, but he didnt go out of his way to help, but he was pretty quick. Once I got to my room, it was small and cramped, and had a strange odor. I looked around and noticed that the plaster was falling from the ceiling. They changed my room and the 2nd room also had plaster falling from the ceiling, they changed me again. The ceiling in the thrid room was fine, other than a small watermark, but the bathtub was covered by this dark brown film. Once again, they changed my room and the 4th room didnt have a working television. It was no surprise that they were able to switch my room so many times since anyone who actually stayed there would be crazy. The night manager was totally useless. He just kept saying "Well, there is nothing I can do. It is what it is." I suggest that they make sure to say "it is what it is" in their advertisements, so that people wont have to experience it. I was so upset and disgusted that I checked out at 2AM without having another hotel lined up. It would have been preferable to sleep on the sidewalk. The experience was LIVING BREATHING FIRE SPITTING HELL!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 9, 2005 by

“The staff was not helpful at all. The night manager couldn't care less about the guests concerns, he was downright rude. They changed my room 5 times! The plaster was falling off the ceiling in the first 2 rooms, the third room had a bathtub that was converted in dirt and mildew, the fourth room didn't have a television that worked and the fifth room didn't have working heat. My stay was so miserable and the staff so unwilling to help that I checked out at 2AM. This was the worst hotel I've ever encountered. The experience was living, breathing, fire spitting hell!” Nov 9, 2005 by
Paul from San Diego, CA
“Nice hotel and very friendly staffs.” Nov 9, 2005 by
Patty from Visalia, CA
“I have stayed here before and am not crazy about this hotel. The location is in the heart of Korea town on Wilshire Blvd. and there are no restaurants anywhere near except the hotel's own and fast food.” Nov 8, 2005 by
Sarah from Aptos, CA
“The hotel is not very conveniently located. Its right on Wilshire Blvd which is busy all night long. We had a room overlooking the Blvd and the windows must be single pane because it sounded like the windows were open. It was very loud! No sleep and we had to get up early for a day long business meeting. The shower had mold and the wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling. The hall carpets are stained and dirty. This hotel needs a major renovation!” Nov 8, 2005 by
Katherine from Weymouth, MA
“Small rooms, the view was of a roof, pretty lobby, Asian neighborhood, I had called to tell I was checking in early to prepare for a performance and was met with resistance to getting my room on time.” Nov 8, 2005 by
Jae from Fort Wainwright, AK
“The hotel is in a convenient location in Korea town. The room was clean, although the floor could have used a shampooing. The bathroom and room were fairly large and decent. Valet parking was expensive considering we were already staying there. A mini fridge would have been nice since we have a toddler and need to have food for him, like yogurt, that has to stay cold. Overall, ok for the price we paid.” Nov 4, 2005 by
Nettie from San Jose, CA
“Service was friendly, beds were comfortable, area around the hotel was safe.” Oct 30, 2005 by
Gm from Houston, TX
“Not in downtown area, in dangerous part of town. Very run down. A bad experience.” Oct 30, 2005 by
Robert from La Quinta, CA
“Well maintained, upgraded hotel. Very popular with Asian travelers.” Oct 29, 2005 by
Eileen from Sacramento, CA
“Best location, Korean and Asian influence wonderful. Kudos to Radisson for their hotels in great ethnic communities, International travelers, busy, lively, cabs always available, metro stop and express bus stops right outside hotel front door was the best. Only wish the non smoking rooms were on the higher floors so we could have enjoyed the city lights and view. Lobby was lovely, but it was time for our room to be renovated. ” Oct 28, 2005 by
Susan from Campbell, CA
“The place is run down. It is in Korea Town and we experienced racist treatment by the staff towards black guests and they were rude to me. The noise was terrible, I could not sleep the first night. They moved us to Plaza Level which was quieter but smoke came into our ventilation in a non smoking room. This happened in both rooms and we could not put the air on. When I asked questions to the staff they were rude and not helpful. Yet the Asian clients were given maps and directions. We were left to find things on our own. I have traveled all over the US and never have seen this in any hotel. A very nice black gentleman asked for the a menu I was given on the first night and was told by the desk clerk. He didn't have any other menu's. I passed on the information to the other guest and was given a bad look and nasty comment in Korean. Stay away from this place.” Oct 25, 2005 by
Sunghee from Houston, TX
“The quality of the hotel is substandard. Hotel is old, road noise was loud, bathroom and doors are old and air conditioner noise was too loud.” Oct 25, 2005 by
Harry from North York, CA
“We requested to see the room first before taking it, they first refused and said they couldn't' show us the room. We then wanted to speak with the manager and then the worker said ok. Even hotel's of lower class that I've stayed at didn't give us this kind of hassle. We also complained about the noise in the morning and we never received a call back about it. I will not stay at this hotel again. The workers attitude really ruins it.” Oct 25, 2005 by
Kira from Gainesville, FL
“I had an ok time at the hotel. Upon arrival they gave me a room that was already occupied and that was not cool. The taxis that originated at the hotel, I'm convinced they are trying to overcharge me. There is a good sushi restaurant in the hotel and you can't beat the price.” Oct 21, 2005 by
Rajesh K. from Sunnyvale, CA
“Hotel lobby is good. Staff is efficient and good. Valet parking is required and fairly expensive. Rooms are beautiful. Bathroom is nice and clean. Exercise room is tiny and cramped.”
