“Old world historical charm in a hotel that has been modernized but still has the slight old musty scent of old historic hotels. Concrete walls make for very quiet rooms and floors though. They should update their toilets but otherwise, the bathroom was fine. Their gym is definitely older but gets the job done. The pool and jacuzzi are older too, indoor and underground. Valet parking is expensive, but quick with unlimited in/outs. I wasn't thrilled when I first got this hotel, but after staying there 3 days, I realized it's a solid hotel experience, just a bit older.” May 8, 2009 by
Jamie from Sebastopol,CA
“Cool hotel.” Feb 3, 2009 by
Craig from Rio Linda,CA
“The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The downside was parking which a fee of $40.00 was charged for mandatory valet service.” Oct 20, 2008 by
Peg
“Loved the hotel! Beautiful common spaces, felt like we were in Europe. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was large and beautifully furnished.” Oct 20, 2008 by

“This hotel was beautiful! The location was perfect and the history of the hotel was impressive.” Sep 8, 2008 by
Diana from Bonita, CA
“It's a beautiful hotel with an old time charm. Staff and facilities are well kept, bed is so luxurious. The only thing I did not like is that the hallways and hotel rooms are old and musty.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Jon from Castro Valley, CA
“Wonderful classic hotel with lots of Hollywood history.” Aug 25, 2008 by
Lynn from San Diego, CA
“Four star lobby, 3 star rooms.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Jun G. from Bethesda, MD
“Valet parking fee is expensive, $ 40 a night.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Work traveller from Australia
“I was looking forward to staying at the Biltmore recently, which was my last stop on a month-long work trip around America. I now realize that I could have just seen the impressive architecture and lobby while walking through, rather than having to go through the ordeal of staying there. The front desk staff was phenomenally rude and unhelpful; the rooms were dark and uninviting; and the bathrooms were tiny and unusable. The Downtown area needs to be supported and re-invigorated, but you should definitely stay elsewhere.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Patricia from Rio Rancho, NM
“This beautiful hotel was built in 1923 when money was spent to make all the public rooms ornate and lovely. It has been well-maintained and it was a pleasure to stay there.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Elyse from Los Angeles, CA
“The all around staff was very rude and unhelpful. I thought it might be due to the fact that my check in time was 3 am yet I found the morning staff to be just as unhelpful. Very disappointed in this hotel.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Jeongha from Duluth, GA
“Other than cleanness, it was overall good.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Dan from San Francisco, CA
“Very good for business traveler in the downtown LA area.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Michelle from Wildomar, CA
“Check in took 45 minutes, ridiculous, room we were given was horrifying, a box with a view of a roof. We tried to walk around the neighborhood, got approached by 3 different drug dealers, no open restaurants, a dead homeless person. We went and checked out, suffered the monetary loss and went home.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Dave from Littleton, CO
“Great location, easy access off the interstate, and the whole experience was great!” Aug 5, 2008 by
Lauren from Toronto, ON CA
“Hi Millennium Biltmore hotel in downtown Los Angeles is an excellent place to stay for business or leisure travelers. Located in the heart of downtown LA. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean and organized. Lobby area was beautiful and rooms were adequate. Only bad thing was the valet parking person scratched the side of the car we were driving. Hotel filled out insurance claim, however it ha been 2 weeks and still have not heard anything back. We would stay there again, however we would use the self parking option next time!” Jul 29, 2008 by
Martin from Frisco, TX
“The Biltmore is a grand hotel that has been lovingly taken care of by the Millennium Group. The only odd thing about the room I was in, there was not any artwork on any of the walls! The room size was good and the king bed was fantastic! I regret not spending more time in bed!” Jul 26, 2008 by
Court from Seattle, WA
“A Hollywood classic completely redefined. Modern interiors, sumptuous pool.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Prapat from Houston, CA
“I would only recommend this hotel to somebody I held a deep grudge against. Checked in and the 1st room had dirty towels, an unflushed (with debris) toilet and someone had laid on the bed. Room #2 featured a dirty towel and the bed had been moved (by the previous tenant?) to a location under the window and thus had no side tables or lamps. Room #3 seemed okay, until we tried the remote for the TV--didn't work. Each time we dealt with the staff we were treated with about as much respect as a Muslim at a Republican convention meeting. Their pious, sorry, seemed rehearsed. When we returned to the hotel Saturday night there were no towels--obviously they didn't want to miss another opportunity to provide poor service. I've never had such a run of bad service from one hotel--and all with nary an offer of a free breakfast or amenity to make up for their inept operation.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Kathy from Redondo Beach, CA
“I was working an event at the Convention Center. I live approx. 20 miles away but chose to stay in a hotel due to the amount of hours I was working. The hotel far exceeded my expectations; it is a beautiful hotel with lots of history. The pool is absolutely beautiful.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Virginia from Sun City, AZ
“It was just what we needed and at the time we needed. It was great.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Kimmie from Phoenix, AZ
“Very beautiful hotel. Felt like we made out considering the price. Only downfall was the $40 per night for parking. Luckily there was a cheaper parking lot right across the street.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Andy from Poway, CA
“NA.” May 28, 2008 by
Jeff from Costa Mesa, CA
“Room service was awesome. Rooms could be updated. Location in center of Downtown is great. Staff is very helpful.” May 20, 2008 by
Hugo from San Francisco, CA
“The grandness of the Biltmore's lobby and public areas are by far the biggest attractions of this hotel. The service is very good. Our room was big, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The main drawback of the hotel is that there are very few alternative places to eat within walking distance. Downtown LA is very dynamic and interesting, but it's a good idea not to walk around there after sundown.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Guillermmina A. from Revere, MA
“The hotel is beautiful itself, but the rooms should need more personality and comfort.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Andrew from New Rochelle, NY “The Millennium Biltmore L.A. is a dump and the front desk staff is as pretentious and fake as the city itself. Rather than an attitude of "my pleasure to assist you" the attitude was "come back tomorrow and talk to someone else. In addition, for a Friday and Saturday night stay, there is NO place to eat after 10 PM within walking distance except for a 24 hr fast food joint. And the staff at this hotel had no idea where to recommend people go eat.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Bari from Mesa, AZ
“Sorry, we only came in for one night to see "Wicked" at the Hollywood Pantages Theater. The staff was very helpful and considerate of my handicapped mother, and assisted with transporting her wheel chair in freight elevator.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Judy from Piedmont, CA
“The bell captain was very helpful and courteous. He immediately called the front desk to check. If another room was available, and he called housekeeping to remedy the lingering smell in the room. Thank you.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Mary J. from Bremerton, WA
“This hotel was a great place to stay and recommend it highly. We could not have been more pleased. We were impressed with all of the staff, but found the concierge most helpful with her great suggestions on places to visit and more importantly, how to get there.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Barry from Simsbury, CT
“Nice hotel but difficult to sleep due to road traffic.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Liqiong from Stafford, TX
“We lost GPS in our room.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Nina from Columbia, MD
“Everybody is full of smiles. I have nothing to complain about as far as the people there. The only thing I have to say is the parking was so expensive! Come on. $40 per day.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 12, 2008 by
Cliff from Highland, UT
“Plan on staying there in the future.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Laura from Cloverdale, CA
“The public spaces are stunning. The rooms are older but comfortable. Stayed during a business trip - brought Mom and daughter along. They loved the pool and Italian restaurant. The Japanese restaurant got thumbs down for portion and prices. Good parking behind hotel ($14/night), easy access to freeway.” Mar 11, 2008 by
W from New York, NY
“Overall I am very pleased with the hotel and the location. I'd recommend the hotel.” Mar 11, 2008 by
Stephen from Logansport, IN
“I was very pleased with the hotel overall. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful. The lobby was really cool and everything seemed clean. They make you pay $40 per night to park at the hotel (although it is valet parking which is nice). The bathroom was very small and cramped. The layout of the bathroom was awkward too. This seems like a small issue to me though as I would never pick a hotel room based on the size of the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and everything in the room seemed to be nice and clean.” Mar 11, 2008 by
Katherine from Weston, FL
“This hotel staff was first rate super fast and courteous helpful staff! The historic value of the hotel was also very interesting having been built in the 20's and the venue for the academy awards/Oscars. It was cool just walking around and looking at the pictures. It has been kept up exquisitely.” Mar 10, 2008 by
Kathleen from Reno, NV
“We were completely happy with the hotel until the handicap bar in the bath tub came out of the wall bringing tile and wall board with it. The first person I spoke to at the desk that night was beery nice and asked if we needed to move and if so did we want to do it then (10:30 pm) or in the morning. We said in the am and the engineer arrived at the room at 8:00 the next day. He agreed it would take a couple of days to repair the tub and called the desk to have us moved. Our new room was much smaller. The king size bed fit into a niche in the wall that extended at least a third of the length of the bed so that you had to crawl into the bed from the foot. There was no extra room and the bath was half the size of our first. Because I had bruised my shoulder and elbow I filed an accident report with the Security department. The man who took it repeatedly asked why I had waited 12 hours and where my bruises were. I explained that I doubted there would be any lasting problems but that if I didn't improve I would see my physician when I got home and I wanted a record of what happened. He insisted I fill out all the questions on about 12 pages of report even though many of them clearly didn't apply and I did so but when I asked for a copy of the report I only got the pages which actually had my signature on them and those only after three requests. If I had wanted to sue them I would have taken pictures and made a big fuss that night. I didn't expect anything except perhaps a room of equal value and some common courtesy and concern. I didn't receive anything and I have not received a reply to my letter to the manager of the hotel. The parking and bell staff were all friendly and helpful but after the way I was treated by security and the front desk I would not go back.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Liliana from New York, NY
“The Lobby and entrance is majestic and beautiful but the rooms are dinky with a Motel 6 kind of feel. The TV is still the old big box with only a handful of channels. There is no wireless internet in the room, only DSL, which is so antiquated. Wireless is in the lobby only. Parking is $40 a day! Insane! Just go here for drinks in the posh lobby and stay somewhere else that has nice rooms.” Feb 26, 2008 by
Denise from Zephyrhills, FL
“Overall experience was very good. I would be reluctant at staying at this hotel the next time around only due to having to pay for expensive parking.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Colleen from La Jolla, CA
“Great hotel, the check-in was easy and very fast, the room was on the small side but we didn't pay very much for the room.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Kim from Overland Park, KS
“Over all I had an ok experience.” Feb 4, 2008 by
Martin from Mclean, VA
“Horrible hotel. Rooms were dirty and old- not renovated; thermostat did not work in room: either hot or cold. Hot water was limited and erratic. Had to call engineering four times to fix items. Had items stolen from room (no safe)? Manager did not help at all when reporting stolen items. Staff was rude. Parking is $40 per day. Worst hotel ever.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 2, 2008 by

“The room was nice and the bed semi comfortable. Upon arrival though, I was told to remove the roof rack from my vehicle. I did so, then they drove my vehicle off to be parked in their apparently very low roofed garage. Then they told me it was $40.00 for parking, for one night! There was no option for self parking by the way. I won't be back there.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jan 31, 2008 by

“Who would guess that downtown LA closes on the weekends? Its a ghost town and w/ a hotel in the heart of downtown, good luck finding food on a Saturday or Sunday and if you ask the staff for help, they'll direct you to "little Mexico" which is a scary place! Do not pay $40/nt valet! Park in Pershing Square, which is literally right across the street, for $14/nt (only downside is no in/out privileges). If all else fails, there's a Dominos Pizza in the same block as hotel. Also, hotel lobby "bar" = $30 for 2 whiskey cokes. We feel that we could of spent 3 days of our vacation elsewhere, had we have known all that we know now. This "hotel" should bot be a 4-star rated property, 1 star @ best!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 30, 2008 by

“Hampton Inn is better than this hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 30, 2008 by

“The second we arrive we were greeted by friendly staff, which promptly had us in our upgraded suite. The hotel was gorgeous and the rooms were spacious and relaxing. I only wish they had more options and updated free weights in the gym area, but the cardio section and pool/spa areas were great!” Jan 30, 2008 by
Mike from Indio, CA
“I probably would not stay at this hotel because of the parking charge of $40.”
