“I requested for a quiet room and I got a room near the stair way and vending machine. The room was so small that I had to carry my luggage over the bed to get it closer to the bathroom. I had to flush the toilette twice to flush everything away. I could have got the same quality of comforts and customer service at a 1.5 stars hotel.”

- Airport shuttle service was sporadic at late night.
“Older hotel, but interior decor quite nice and updated. Sleep number bed was good. Airport shuttle service was a disaster since I arrived at 2 AM at the airport and the hotel shuttle was no longer running. I had to wait 30 min at the curb before a generic shuttle came and took me to the hotel.”

- The convenience to my work.
- The room was non-smoking and I smelled like smoke when I left.
“As long as you ask for a sleep number bed room, you will be satisfied. But if you don't get one, it will be not be a very pleasant experience. The beds are worn and the room wreak of cigarette smoke. Don't know if it is because the rooms have been renovated or not but it has happened to me twice so far. ”

- Location was the only desirable thing about this hotel.
- Water was not hot, the bed covers were all old and worn out, poor quality of the toilettories, I would not rate this hotel as 3 star.
“Very poor management, the TV was not working right, in addition to the other problems I mentioned above. At the desk they said internet is free and when I called from the room, they said it is 10dollars a day.”

- The location is great.
- The toilet was broken . The television got bad reception. Someone from the staff tried to break into my room.
“The insides to my toilet was broken. I went downstairs and told someone at the front desk. I told him that I would be gone for 2 hours at dinner and he told me that it would be fixed by the time I got back. It wasn't!!! My television got very bad reception on about half of the stations. I was so tired at the end of my 5 day trip that I said just forget it. About an hour later the door knob on the door between my room and the next started jiggling. Then the door opened and their was a young hotel staff member who jump and quickly closed the door when I screamed at the top of my lungs. I immediately called and reported this incident and asked for the manager. The manager came on the phone and offered to change my room for me but it was so late and I had everything stunned out all over the room. I told him no but I wasn't a free nights lodging for all my troubles. He offered a free movie. Big Deal. I told him that I would take it up with management or corporate in the morning. I went and tried to lock the door which was broken enough that it only latched about 1/8". In the morning I spoke with a gal (the concierge). She offered a discount on my breakfast (which I don't eat). ”

- They didn't have the room ready by 8pm, then walked me to another hotel at 10.
“This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I arrived at the end of the day, at 8pm, and was told the room was not ready yet. They offered me a dinner coupon for their restaurant and said that the room would be ready after dinner. I went to the restaurant, and the coupon only paid for a portion of the expensive meals on their menu! After dinner, I went back to the front desk, was told the room was still not ready but would be ready shortly. They asked if I would like a free drink in their bar, so I went ahead and did that. They said the room would be ready after by the time I had a drink at the bar. Came back down after the drink, THE ROOM WAS STILL NOT READY. By now, its well after 9pm. They ask me to wait a few more minutes, and finally after a few minutes, decide to walk me to a Holiday Inn. They said they would pay for the cab ride, and everything. However I ended up having to pay for the cab, and the Holiday Inn was run down and dirty. What kind of hotel doesn't have a room ready by 10pm at night? What kind of hotel walks someone to a crappier hotel and doesn't end up paying the cab charges?I will be contacting higher ups to get money back. This was absolutely ridiculous.”

“This hotel would suit business or transit travelers It is handy to LAX and has all you need for a stay. Midway rentals is located in the hotels and offer a fair service at a good rate. The only complaint is the lack of eating establishments that you have to choose from either in house or close by. Rooms were fine and service was all that could be expected. I am pleased to report that I heard little from the nearby planes as some people have complained about.”

- Loved the view of planes taking off and landing from our room.
- The plumbing made loud sounds in our bathroom, although closing the door helped muffle the noise.
“The rooms are quite big and very clean, and the view of the runways at LAX is just awesome. It's like watching an aquarium, only the view is of planes. The rooms were really well soundproofed. The staff was really nice.”

- We were very disappointed with this hotel.
- Did not accommodate us with any of our needs.
“We requested a king nonsmoking room, we were told all they had left was a smoking, double bed, I explained I am pregnant and I could not possibly stay in a smokers room, and that my husband and I need at least a queen bed, they explained they don't have queen beds, and there was a big conference in town, we ended up in a filthy handicap room, dirty bathroom floors, dirty towels, and ended up asking for a replacement bedspread as it smelled like vomit, very disappointed!!”

- The staff was super friendly and helpful.
- The beds were awful. You could feel the springs. We had 4 rooms and no one got a good nights sleep.
“This hotel would be a terrific airport option in Los Angeles with the exception of the beds. They must be 30 years old. You can literally feel the springs in each mattress (we had 4 rooms and everyone had the same experience). The pillows and lines were also of low quality.”

- It's a very classy hotel and everyone was very friendly.
- Their room service and gift shop are way too expensive.
“I don't get into valet parking at all, so I wished there was a different way to be able to park my own car. Other than that, everything about this hotel was wonderful! I almost wished I could live there forever. They have a very relaxing pool and we made the most of it. I don't know what was with all of the pillows and weird blankets on the beds though. That all went into the closet about 5 minutes after we got into the room.”

- Love the view of planes taking off and landing, and the rooms are well soundproofed.
- Restaurants in the hotel are okay....wish more choices of restaurants were in walking distance.
“Great location for visiting Westside LA and beaches. Rooms are large, clean and soundproofed. The constant view of LAX planes taking off and landing is mesmerizing...like watching an aquarium. The top floor bar has good views but could improve wine selection and bar menu. The two restaurants in the hotel are fine, but not enticing for repeat meals.”

“Really don't want to recommend. No worthy of 3 stars hotel, just one and half star inn.#1. Rude parking gate worker.#2. They don't know what those staffs need to do to their customer. My one and half year old kid hurt on her lip very seriously at parking lot. Nobody cares us and even unbelievable they didn't have any emergency kit for their customers, even no bands!#3. Staffs do not ask us smoking/non-smoking, one/two beds even we have two small kids. They assigned a smoking room finally. Terrible experience! Will complain these officially soon. ”

“Hotel seemed to be what we expected until we tried to shower. The room was a handicap bathroom. This was not a big problem but there was absolutely no water pressure on a hand shower. We received a 6 am wakeup that we did not order. They also charged us $17 for parking that was not mentioned.”

- It's located just outside LAX which is nice.
- No bar fridge. Cleaners too my tip but didn't include enough towel for our kids (left notes daily on bed).
“Our over all stay was fine. With 2 kids it would have been nice to have a mini bar fridge for our milk. The only complaint is that 3 to 5 days we didn't get enough towels for our kids. Even though we would leave a note and tip on the bed every morning. Housekeeping had to be called 3 times. They need more staff at night. We had to wait 45 minutes for a baby cribs when we checked in at 11pm. Another couple waited over 1 hour.”

- Good value for your money.
- People knocking at your door at all times by mistake.
“The staff was not friendly at all. I requested a sleep number bed and every other person in the front desk said different thing. One said it's available, the other said it's not, another said you have to pay extra. I stayed 4 days and never got it.”

- The rooms are large, clean, soundproofed and have a great view of LAX planes coming and going.
- Would like free parking or less than the current $13.
“This hotel makes a good base for our work in Santa Monica. If you get tired of the hotel's restaurants you can walk to other hotels on Century Blvd. for a change. It feels very safe to walk on the well lit Century Blvd. The room we have is smoke free, with a comfy King bed and fabulous view of LAX planes landing and taking off. The rooms are very soundproofed. Housekeeping brings in the evening a plate with two fresh cookies, a bottle of milk, and a bottle of water. Very nice touch. The hotel is updated but still has a bit of 60's look. Nice room decor.”

- The Palmyra restaurant was excellent.
- Our first room had sand on the bed when we checked in and was dirty.
“The elevators were extremely slow and needed maintenance. The room we checked into was old and had sand on the bedspread. I laid my 7 month old son down and felt sand on his back when I picked him up. We had just checked in. The hotel admitted to being understaffed and asked me to come down to the desk. They sent us to another room that was much nicer.”

- Comfortable Sleep Number Beds.
