“When I arrived at the hotel, everything was fine. I unpacked and went to the "star bucks" within the hotel. Forget it! So I went back upstairs to my room and went to get more ice. The ice machine on the 8th floor was not working! I had to go to the 7th floor. Back in my room, I wanted to write a note to the manager - but there was neither pen nor paper! So I called the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. I was transferred to an extension and no one answered. Instead, I reached a voicemail of someone who didn't speak English. Though I assumed it wasn't the general manager since it wasn't a professional message, I still left a message with all my issues and asked for a call back. Then I went to take a shower - but you guessed it. No washcloths or hand towels.”

• The shuttle does not come in 15 minutes as stated.

“It is a normal hotel, not bad not good, for the price you expect more. Especially, when 4 (!) Sheraton shuttles pass by at 4 a.m. while waiting at the airport, before the Radisson shuttle comes. Otherwise it was ok. The stuff is not particularly friendly.”

• The staff and restaurant were awesome.
• We were right next to a very noisy elevator.

“This hotel is a perfect place to stay in between destinations. Location near the LA airport is convenient, and the staff is very friendly. The food in the dinner house is excellent. We were pleasantly surprised!”

• Could swim in the pool/hot tub 24 hrs a day.
• Beds were very bad & cost too much to park!

“They advertise these "nice & dial comfort" sleep beds which I never did see. The beds were really bad! Couldn't sit on the edge at the foot or sleep close to the side because you would fall off! Parking was $16/day which should have come with the price of the room!”

• The restaurant.
• Apathetic staff.

“The restaurant is a great restaurant. I had the warm seafood salad. It was the best I had ever had. The hotel staff is snooty and apathetic. New Yorkers are friendlier than these people.”

• Clean, nice, and well appointed.
• AC unit was inside the room. Very noisy.

“Clean, neat, decent public rooms, obviously older hotel redone, but tastefully. Rooms are nice, clean, also updated, but the air conditioning unit was located in a closet inside the room, and there was a bit of noise some would find difficult to sleep with. They provided earplugs and sleep CD! They tried. Parking was free which was nice too.”

“Checked-in at 4:00 pm and cannot let us to transfer another room since the first room we don't like because it is too close to the highway. So, we keep coming back every 2 hours to make our request till 11:00 pm. The answer still the same the hotel is full.”

• Very convenient to airport.
• First night after arriving back to hotel after working all day, my room was not restocked neither with soap nor shampoo.

“Overall, an okay experience, the room wasn't extravagant as I would have expected of a 4 star hotel rating. The room was clean, but was rather upset at the end of the day coming back to a hotel with no soap or shampoo to clean myself with the first night, then the following night my room key not working. Would have expected this from a Motel 6, not a Radisson property.”

• Bell staff service.

“I'm handicapped and I was forced to unload my own bags from the car because the valet wouldn't do it and he said the bellman was too busy. LAN cable was messed up and needed engineering to come repair. Requested extra pillows upon check-in for my leg at front desk and had to call again before I finally got them. Could be a 3-Star hotel if the staff was better, but I would only give it a 2.5-Star rating now.”

• Parking was difficult to find in the parking lot and felt unsafe in the parking facility.

“Only complaint was the parking situation. Facility felt deserted and unsafe, and if I had been traveling alone, would have felt even less safe. Otherwise, was convenient to the airport and car rental return. My stay was not very long, only approximately eight hours.”

• Convenient location for lax.
• Mold on bathroom wall(s), a/c didn't work properly, miss billed for drinks.

“The bathroom had mold on several walls. The a/c did not work well. It does blow air but never cooled the room. My room was billed for room service that I did not order and to top it off when my mom paid the valet cash for parking our car it was still charged to our room. In the hotels defense they did remove the room service bill. I did not know about the car until we left the hotel to have it removed as well.”

• Roaches in the bathroom.

“They gave me a room that was not made up, but the manager quickly rectified the problem. The first day I brought in the newspaper and left it on the chair to read when I returned, but when I got back it was gone. There were several roaches in the bathroom. One day I had to wait 10 minutes for an elevator.”

• Did not get sleep number beds.

“The hotel is a good location close to lax. However, jet aircraft noise may be an annoyance at times. The hotel evidently does not give the same service or quality of rooms. They have signs all over the place about their sleep number beds. The parking garage is very full due to people parking there and leaving on trips from lax. The showers have a temperature restrictor on them that causes the water temperature to fluctuate frequently. Overall the hotel is fine but not as nice as other major hotel brands in the LAX area.”

• Practically steps from LAX.
• Could be a bit more "polished".

“The Radisson is the closest hotel to LAX. We watched planes landing and taking off from our window. The hotel lobby is nice and fancy. The rooms are fine too but are showing their age. The curtain had a big stain at the bottom and the washroom showed a bit of age too, though it was clean. Parking was $16 (from what I recall). Overall, a fine place to stay.”

“I am a travel agent and used to work for Carlson companies. This hotel was good but the brand is all over the map and thus quality by Name is never assured such as courtyard. No over all standards.”

• Location to the airport and the restaurant/lounge on top floor.
• Room was small and did not have the sleep comfort bed that Radisson adv. No lamp for desk.

“Convenient airport, kind of tired, small room, helpful staff, and room smelled of air freshener, windows wouldn¿t open so it was stuffy. The hotel was right at the airport and was still quiet. Shuttle every 15 minutes ran on time. Did not have the sleep comfort bed that Radisson advertises as in all their hotels. It was "ok".”

“Staff refused to accommodate my request for a queen or king bed. My husband and I are not small people and they put us in a room with two small beds. The hotel was not filled up and I find it hard to believe that in a hotel this size there wasn't one room with a queen or king bed.”

• The concierge was smart and helpful.
• Desk service was surly, pool filthy, staff indifferent and beds uncomfortable.

“This is a worn property with poorly done updates in a good location. The restaurant strives for mediocrity but rarely attains it. With the exception of the concierge, the staff is indifferent and surly. Treating every promise and guarantee as merely a suggestion that they don't have to honor. If you need a hotel near the airport, there are several others very close by. This is a 2 star property at best.”

• The location and the lobby were fine.
• The staff were very unfriendly and acted put out if you asked them for directions or recommendations.

“The staff were not friendly and rudely spoke Spanish to each other when not speaking to me. I used the Business Center for the internet and the entire time the employees spoke loudly to each other, on the phone, or into walkie talkies, entirely in Spanish. It was so loud in there I could not think. I feel that while working in an American establishment they should speak our native language, English, which they are excellent at, and save their Spanish for after work hours. When asking for directions or instructions they were impatient and rude. I hope that this is my first and last experience with Radisson hotels.”

• They don't have their own airport transportation. They share with another hotel.

“The dining room was very good. The food was good and the service was excellent. It's an older hotel and the rooms weren't that hot. Beds weren't that comfortable. One interesting fact was the double pained windows that made it impossible to hear the airplanes right outside the window.”

• Excellent view from the restaurant on top of the building.
• No coffee maker in the room.

“The staff was very nice, convenient location but there were holes on the ceiling and wall and they were badly patched up. The carpets were stained.”
