Barbara from San Francisco, CA
“The location is excellent, if you need to be near the airport. The room was quiet, even though right across from the landing strips. The room was clean and well appointed, though the wallpaper was in need of repair and one half of the sheer curtain was missing. Room phone was not working upon arrival and there was no pen provided with the paper at the desk, even after we let staff know.” Jan 25, 2008 by
J from Huntington Beach, CA
“I had to be up at 3:30 AM. The shower was scolding hot and very uncomfortable to be in. The previous night when in the gift shop, I thought I handed the clerk a twenty and she thought a ten and I accepted the change. But it was just very distracting with her answering cell phone and regular phone while helping me. Very frustrating. I would probably choose one of the other hotels in the future. Also the elevators take long from the upper floors.” Jan 23, 2008 by
Sami from Wykoff, MN
“We are not likely to return to this hotel. The beds weren't very comfortable, and the shower system is awful. Temperature regulators cause cold water to come on unexpectedly in the middle of a hot shower. Also, housekeeping knocked on the door at 7:20am. Front desk staff not very understanding and appeared unconcerned.” Jan 23, 2008 by
Naji from Austin, TX
“Nice enough to get the job done but little things like no hand towel or bath towel racks was bothersome. Generally clean. Free internet was nice but 15 channels is a little short. There was nothing to watch in my downtime.” Jan 23, 2008 by
Steven from Santa Barbara, CA
“Surprisingly quiet given proximity to LAX.” Jan 22, 2008 by
Jordan from San Diego, CA
“This little hotel sits smack next to one of LAXs runways, yet the extra window panes kept the room extremely quiet and comfortable. The way the extra windows are attached seems like an afterthought though. The Select Comfort beds were a nice touch, and bathrooms were decent with good water pressure. My only complaint is that the interior is completely forgettable. Seems like a refresh would be appropriate.” Jan 20, 2008 by
Diane from Kalispell, MT
“The hotel was very handy if you were staying at the airport. We were not interrupted by airplanes during our sleeping hours. There was a nice coffeemaker in the room but no 'frig or microwave or free breakfast. $13 charge for parking - OUCH. You should have told us that before we bid on the room. Our room was always cold - after several calls to get help, we just got more blankets. The water pressure in the shower made it almost impossible to get the shampoo/conditioner out of your hair. We weren't allowed in the fitness center and neither the swimming pool or hot tub had heat. The swimming pool was full of branches and other debris.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Cherry from Lansing, MI
“Lovely hotel and common areas. Brunch was excellent. The pent house lounge was very nice. Needed some entertainment for holiday travelers. Pronto Limousine service was very accommodating.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Sharon from Lansing, MI
“This was my second weekly stay in a month. The food was excellent. I found the entertainment lacking for the holiday. I will return as it is a nice hotel and the noise barrier was excellent being so close to LAX. Pronto Limousine service was excellent and I will always use them when I am in the Los Angeles area.” Jan 16, 2008 by
Ryan from Fitchburg, MA
“I liked the convenience and the views at the Radisson LAX. It is the closest hotel to the airport, and is an easy 10 minute walk to the airport, also a shuttle bus comes by about every 15 minutes. Apparently many of the rooms also have sleep number beds but ours did not. In room internet access is free, but only by LAN cable, Wi-Fi only available in the lobby, costs $17/day and wont work on many systems due to it being an old outdated setup. The room was decent, just a plain clean room with an ok TV, and nice big windows. I would recommend staying here, however depending on whether you have a car or not you may want to think twice. Parking is in the on site commuter airport parking lot, which at $13 a day is the second highest rate around out of over a dozen nearby parking lots. There is limited on street parking available overnight, however, you may have to park as far as a 10 minute walk, you cannot park overnight until after 10pm, and you must move your car by 10 AM.” Jan 14, 2008 by
Fred from Thomasville, GA
“See above. Shuttle situation poor. It was probably a one time event.” Jan 13, 2008 by
Carol from Chattanooga, TN
“I find this hotel very good.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Dan from Houston, TX
“We didn't get a sleep number bed, not that we wanted one, but that is there big advertisement draw at this particular hotel. The bed was very comfortable though. Although we didn't stay at the same hotel that they did. We were all very satisfied with the hotels we got!” Jan 8, 2008 by
Mark from Falls Church, VA
“Surprisingly quiet hotel located next to LAX.” Jan 6, 2008 by
Henry from Dresden, TN
“Staff was efficient, but surly.” Jan 6, 2008 by
Karen from Henderson, NV
“A good value for the price.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Adnan from Jamaica, NY
“Hotel was great but because of its staff not able to take simple notes, it made it more difficult for me&” Jan 5, 2008 by
Nadir from Oakville, ON CA
“We were in a non-smoking room, but, there was lot of smoking smell causing us headaches. On complaining the bed sheets, etc. were changed and it became better. Internet access is available which is great. We did not eat in the restaurants so we cannot comment. In the last 3-days, there was no hot water. Parking fees are included in price of many hotels, but, here we had to pay a separate charge of US$ 13/night which is very steep. I think Radisson should refund 25% of the amount paid to them for hotel and also the Parking Fees.” Jan 5, 2008 by
E. from Issaquah, WA
“The Hotel Staff at the Radisson LAX were very kind, professional and helpful. I needed an early check-in on New Year's Day and they were willing and able to accommodate my request. The hotel has only 10/ten non-smoking rooms. I was thankful to be offered one.” Jan 4, 2008 by
Glenn from San Diego, CA
“Nice hotel for the price would stay there again, even in spite of the hotel staff.” Jan 4, 2008 by
Margee from Hillsborough, NJ
“The hotel was very clean. Rooms were fairly new - had movies, etc. The staff was great. The guests were mostly those with early flights out of LAX or flight crews.” Jan 4, 2008 by
Brent from Sandy, UT
“This location is very clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was granted an early check-in, and a late check-out - very flexible! It is definitely designed primarily for business travelers; thus, (the only downside to my visit) I was disappointed that the internet connection in my room did not work, and the lobby wireless alternative was EXTREMELY slow!” Jan 3, 2008 by
Jimmy from Covington, LA
“In the first room that was assigned, the bottom of bathtub was peeling off and had been for a long time. A huge portion of the lining (paint) was missing and continued to flake off. The second room had an area where there was a white powder substance (assumed to be carpet freshener).” Jan 3, 2008 by
Jayne from Kitchener, ON CA
“Big thanks to previous reviewers for your input! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel; it exceeded my expectations by far. Newly renovated with contemporary decor, good bed linens and comfy beds. The picture window provides a great view of the landing strip at LAX - beautiful view at night. The hotels located directly across the street from LAX making it perfectly located for a stay before a morning departure. Lots of restaurants, shopping etc in the area. The only negatives I experienced were skimpiest towels in the bathroom and a stale chocolate croissant in the lobby lounge in the morning. Both minor issues to be sure.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Ed from Fremont, CA
“This LAX hotel is convenient for airport travelers but its antiquated feel and out of order equipment (internet, treadmill, gym TV) make it feel like a second rate establishment.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Jamie from Vernal, UT
“You can hear the planes all the time. Parking was $13 dollars every night. The toilet seat was dirty when we first arrived.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Paultat from Los Angeles, CA
“King size was initial booking request and the hotel was not near capacity. This experience would not make me a return customer at the normal Radisson prices.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Ronda from Castle Rock, CO
“Though this is a nice hotel, the fact that the valet sat and watched me unload my car (actually stood by my trunk and watched me) and they would not answer the phone when I called from my room. Has left a bad taste for us.” Jan 2, 2008 by
from Fremont, CA
“Excellent, clean, friendly, comfortable hotel in a safe area.” Dec 31, 2007 by
Asif from Alpharetta, GA
“IF you want to Stay very close to Airport Without Renting Car this is good place to consider.” Dec 31, 2007 by
Ann from Culver City, CA
“The carpeting was dirty looking. The showers need to be adjusted so that at least they are warm. And room service needs to charge according to the printed rates and needs to be honest when they are out of something and not substitute at their whim.” Dec 29, 2007 by
Karen from Carlsbad, CA
“Works for a couple of days for airport location. Good for business travel but would not have family there. The garage was very overcrowded, 2 small floors for a hotel of 16 floors. On arriving at 2pm had to look for over 25 minutes to get a spot, after a departure and they charge $13 per day for this service, $17 for valet. Also area 3 star hotels have 6 to 10 floors for parking!” Dec 26, 2007 by
Jim from Visalia, CA
“This no frills hotel is conveniently located with easy access to the beach, Hollywood, and airport. This hotel is perfect for the leisure traveler trying to enjoy the sites of Los Angeles.” Dec 19, 2007 by
Cheryl from Lansing, MI
“Excellent hotel. Breakfast bar and service was top rate. The pent house hotel was an excellent view and a great place to meet friends. Staff was friendly. The only problem was the mattress covering which lumped all night. Pronto limousine service was extremely efficient and accommodating.” Nov 26, 2007 by
Troy from San Luis Obispo, AR
“I have stayed in this hotel but it was five years ago. It is not a nice as before and will probably not stay there again.” Nov 23, 2007 by
Lorelle from Louisville, KY
“This hotel met every expectation of a Radisson. I have stayed at several, and feel it is worth the extra few dollars to get a room and bed that you know is clean, a staff that is friendly and knowledgeable, and a restaurant variety to meet any taste/pocketbook. The sleep number bed was a nice feature, but not necessary.” Nov 19, 2007 by
John from San Ramon, CA
“Mediocre at best. Windows are so dirty you cannot see out of them. Staff is curt and unfriendly.” Nov 11, 2007 by
Mike from Virginia Beach, VA
“Would never recommend to the business traveler! Also had the typical Radisson basket-ball pillows. Management did buy me dinner, bur after putting up with all of the above and needing a bathroom fixture and switch replaced, I couldnt wait to leave.” Nov 10, 2007 by
Samson (. from Fremont, CA
“Definitely for business traveler. Not for family fun. Because no microwave, no fridge in the room. (Those 2 things are very much standard for a 2 stars hotel). Why don't they provide it in a 3 star hotel?” Nov 10, 2007 by
Kelly from Kirkland, WA
“This is an airport hotel almost within walking distance of the terminal. The hotel facility and rooms are nice but the details are sloppy. Fitness room is weak. Food is incredible.” Nov 4, 2007 by
Madeline from Milwaukee, WI
“Okay for a quick overnight stop, but would not want to spend an extended stay there. Hotel is in need of remodeling and upgrading in decor. I was expecting much more from a 4-star rated hotel (such as I found at the Intercontinental in Century City where I stayed a couple of weeks earlier).” Nov 4, 2007 by
Jason from Sicklerville, NJ
“Overall I thought the Hotel was an excellent value for what I paid. The Lobby was very clean and nice. The workout area had all the essential equipment so I was able to stay fit. The only complaint that I had was I had requested a King size bed and they gave us two doubles, when I asked if they could change it, they said no and that the hotel was packed. It's not a big complaint but would have been better to get what I requested. Plus with the bedding, the comforter that was on both beds was old. It wasn't dirty or anything like that, but was clearly starting to show wear from being used for to long.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Sherri from Lanai City, HI
“Very convenient, clean hotel with good room service dining for the overnight traveler to lax. Large room made it easy for all our "cruise" luggage and desk very adequate size. Airplane noise is a factor however.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Les from San Ramon, CA
“Parking cost is high. 13 per day! Defeats the purpose of getting the hotel discount. Should be stated before you say ok to the hotel what the cost of parking is at the hotel.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Jules from Longwood, FL
“Overall the Radisson hotel chain does not maintain a quality standard, some do not have the sleep number beds and charge you extra for them.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Susan from Layton, UT
“We enjoyed our stay. There were two drawbacks the size of the beds and the $13/night charge for parking.” Oct 31, 2007 by
Cg from Oakland, CA
“This place is elegant. I felt like royalty, so much so that I allowed myself to use valet parking. The big drawback was that I left a bag at the front desk to be picked up later and they lost the bag; they even claim that I never left the bag!” Oct 31, 2007 by
Steve from Los Altos, CA
“I didn't have many expectations from this hotel given that it sits right next to the airport and is considered a 3 out of 5 star hotel. The hotel itself looks a bit dated, but the rooms have probably received an update within the last 5 years. The rooms all have a sleep number bed, but if you like sleeping in the middle of the bed, it might not be the bed for you since the king size bed has two sides to it and there's a noticeable seam running through the middle of the bed. However, the mattress is comfortable if you sleep on either the left or right side of the bed and you can adjust the stiffness of the bed with the attached remote. One issue I did have was that the a/c in the room didn't work too well. I set the thermostat for 69 degrees and left it on that way for the duration of the trip. Unfortunately, the temperature never went below 73. In fact, it was hovering around 75 for most of the trip. A bit warmer than I would like, but nothing to really complain about. However, I would not like to be stuck in that room during the summer. Overall, the experience was pretty favorable considering my low expectations and the price point. The front desk was pretty quick about bringing me a new remote when I had informed them that the one in my room had died.” Oct 30, 2007 by
Renee from Centennial, CO
“I arrived earlier than check in and they were very accommodating to get me in early. The staff was extremely pleasant and went above and beyond to get me what I needed. They also have the sleep number beds which were very nice. The restaurants in the hotel were extremely good, only bad side is the one small cafe they had open for a late breakfast was not open when it should have been and they did not post it, or I would have made other arrangements for breakfast. Other than that I highly recommend.” Oct 30, 2007 by
Rick from Boise, ID
“Not bad for the price, and we didn't spend much time there.” Hotel Representatives:
