“This was the worst motel we have ever stayed in. We were given a key to our room and it was already occupied. The rooms smelled of smoke. It was run down and dirty.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Mary from Boise, ID
“Services were very good and the room above satisfactory. The continental breakfast was worth waking up to and the workers were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.” Aug 24, 2006 by
Korey from Lewiston, UT
“The courtyard of the hotel was nice, but the place was quite noisy and seemed to be more of a hangout for young adults than a place to take children. The staff was very friendly and courteous.” Aug 15, 2006 by
Kenneth from Dingle, ID
“The room we had was large enough for a family of six. we were close to the areas we needed to be at or visit.” Jul 30, 2006 by
Larry from Boise, ID
“N/A” Jul 26, 2006 by
Marty from Wendell, ID
“The room was very clean and offered more to the occupant than I expected. I think the star rating is set too low for this Motel, it should be higher. Great place to stay and I plan to return.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Rob C. from Ogden, UT
“Pine crest Inn is well located just off the Yellowstone Hwy. It is an older property with serious need for room updates, but the friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and low price make it an ideal one night stop en route to or from the parks. It is also less than an 2 hour drive over Teuton Pass to Jackson where a hotel like this would cost 3 or 4 times as much. Rooms have a microwave oven and small refrigerator.” Jul 6, 2006 by
Billie from Winnemucca, NV
“We booked 2 hotel rooms. We showed up after 5pm and was told that the rooms were still being cleaned and we would not be allowed to check in for another hour (at least). After we finally checked in, unloaded the car, we were able to get into the room (after 6pm). But soon found out that if we left, we would be unable to get back in because the keys weren't working. The maintenance man came but could not fix it. They had to call a second man to come fix it. We didn't want to have to reload the luggage into the car, could not leave our luggage in the room with the door having to stay open, and were told it wouldn't take long. We waited over 2 hours for it to get fixed. We asked for another room, we were denied. They told us they were booked, however, not everyone had checked in so we should have been given a room and when the key was fixed they could move one of the later arrivals to that room. The hotel did not seem very sanitary either and the air conditioner didn't work. I have never been so unsatisfied with a hotel, however, because of this experience.” Jul 6, 2006 by
Alan from South Jordan, UT
“The facilities wasn't in top condition. It also appeared that some of the helper's families was using the pool and hot tub.” Jun 24, 2006 by
Linda from Derby, KS
“Attractive, comfortable room, and lots of extras - a central courtyard with pool, whirlpool, and exercise equipment. Continental breakfast was nice. We felt we got a very good value for the money.” Jun 23, 2006 by
Nader from Ogden, UT
“Pleasant and clean ¿ amenities could be better.” Jun 19, 2006 by
Callie from Homedale, ID
“Very nice looking room, however, the carpeted floor was very dirty (walking barefoot across floor left feet black and "filmy"). Also heavy perfumed room was difficult to take.” Jun 18, 2006 by
Janette from Highland, UT
“We will never do business with you again! Your website rated it as a 2 star, I would call it a 1 based on a 5 star rating system. It was filthy dirty, esp. the floor. I did not dare let my 11 month old crawl on the floor. We tried to contact your customer service department but were told sorry. Where a company depends on customer satisfaction and repeat customers you sure do fail. We will never use you again and we will tell all our family, friends, and associates how deceiving you are not and are not willing to listen to your consumer. You need to re-evaluate your business because its terrible.” Jun 18, 2006 by
S from Lehi, UT
“Not at all a good experience. ” Jun 12, 2006 by
John from Park City, UT
“You should change this hotel from the 2 star you claim it to be to a one star, so people know what they are agreeing to stay in.” May 29, 2006 by
Mel from Glendora, CA
“For the price, very good motel. is getting old but appears it is being upgraded. it was very close to our families home which made it very easy to move about. close to "old town" Idaho Falls but a few minutes to "new" shopping district. very nice people. continental breakfast was offered and a very good diner was near buy. next to golf course which many people there was for that purpose. overall good place but is not a hotel. pool, hot tub, sauna, and small exercise room was available but needed updating.” May 24, 2006 by
Gale from Laurel, MT
“Good value for the price, staff is very friendly and graciously allowed a move when we smelled smoke in our non-smoking room. This is not the Taj Mahal, but beds are comfortable and clean rooms are all you need for a short stay.” May 23, 2006 by
Chris from Ankeny, IA
“Everything was good and spacious and even seemed clean EXCEPT the floors. As we walked either barefoot or in stocking feet, we quickly realized the floor was filthy. Our feet and socks were literally BLACK. Each night we each threw away our socks. I strongly suggest that they have the carpets shampooed!!! They are awful. 2 nights x 16 pair of socks!!! They were that bad that we knew they would not be salvageable even after washing! PLEASE suggest that they clean the carpets immediately!! Other than that, the accommodations were great.” May 21, 2006 by
Evan from Denver, CO
“It was run down, dirty, the air conditioning did not work I was afraid to walk on the floor without shoes on. When the girl at the front desk saw how shocked I was she put me in the best room she had. She was the only bright spot in my stay. Even the better room was the worst room I have ever rented! The biggest joke is your website said the median price for a 2 star in Idaho Falls was $85.00. This was an awful experience.” May 16, 2006 by
Chad J. from Afton, WY
“Hotel was older but rooms were remodeled and in OK shape. Only problem was that I paid 40 plus 10 in fees. This is not the type of hotel I would normally stay at so this was frustrating.” May 15, 2006 by
Joe D. from Blackfoot, ID
“Good location close to golf course. Has a secluded courtyard. Free breakfast is cereal, Danish and bagels. No interior access to office, must go outside through parking lot or courtyard. Could be difficult for older people in cold months. Very average motel.” May 10, 2006 by
Colleen from Herriman, UT
“The front desk workers were very helpful and friendly. They informed us that the hotel has undergone 2 ownership changes in the last month and were in the process of change. They also said that the hotel would be getting a complete remodel and better features and amenities will be added. When the remodel is complete I am sure the hotel will be of better quality. Our stay was fine for one night, but not what we expected from a "two star" hotel.” May 6, 2006 by
Arlene from New Plymouth, ID
“Nice, clean hotel, the price is right, family friendly. We have stayed here several times.” May 3, 2006 by
Chad from Winston Salem, NC
“The hotel is very old. The biggest problem is that the carpet is very old and smells like mildew. Not only that, but the carpet was absolutely filthy. Our feet became black after walking around in our room. We informed the staff, but they didn't do anything. The walls are thin. Be prepared to hear your neighbors. Also, we needed a crib. The crib was not very clean and also smelled like mildew. The only positive thing about the stay was that they provided a very simple continental breakfast (oatmeal, bread, Danishes, etc.)” Apr 26, 2006 by
Darlne from Afton, WY
“We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back in the future.” Apr 25, 2006 by
Judith from Rupert, ID
“Cleanliness is so important to most travelers and Pinecrest was not in the least clean. ” Apr 18, 2006 by
Susan from Helena, MT
“The hotel is located a little out of the way, but Idaho Falls is not that large of a town. It is an older property that has been remodeled.” Apr 12, 2006 by
Matthew from Thaynw, WY
“Great for the price and it met our expectations.” Apr 8, 2006 by
Brady from Driggs, ID
“Good economy hotel if you have more money to spend stay at one of the hotels on the river.” Mar 15, 2006 by
Pam from Nampa, ID
“It was an older hotel, but it was ok. We heard the guy next to us talking all night long.” Mar 8, 2006 by
Douglas from Salem, OR
“Even finding the room very dirty, the front desk was very helpful in getting us moved to a cleaner room.” Mar 4, 2006 by
Sharon from Libby, MT
“The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel seemed to be clean. It was not convenient to the Interstate but was not in a bad location as far as safety. The courtyard was beautiful and the outdoor poor was in a very nice location for guests but since our stay was in winter, it was closed. The sauna was out of order with no time expectation for repairs.” Mar 1, 2006 by
Jacalyn R. from Pocatello, ID
“I would definitely consider this hotel an economy hotel. I reserved this room for my husband's birthday for a romantic time together. I was disappointed. I would not want to stay there again. The lobby looked like it had not been vacuumed and it smelled. The corridors were not heated. The room had a refrigerator in it and it looked like they were defrosting it.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Nicole from West Valley City, UT
“The room was spacious and clean, but the hallways smelled disgusting! The weather was snowy, and people were tracking in dirty slush, which made the carpets dank and moldy-smelling. Other than the smell, it was a nice place to stay. Easy to find and the price was right.” Feb 12, 2006 by
Steve from Powhatan, VA
“This appears to be a older (50s-60s) motel remodeled (probably in the 80s or early 90s), the interior corridors are freezing cold and just have a shabby appearance. The rooms (double queen) are large but (my room on the ground floor) had a small corner shower with a freezing cold tile floor, the television could not be changed with the remote (TV channel selector probably broken inside the TV). Upon arrival the lock on the rooms sliding glass door was broken, second lock was unlocked (so anyone could have entered my room if I had not checked it. The hotel is noisy, you can hear children running in the rooms above you, the maids are running the vacuums early in the morning. This hotel is not as nice as many Motel 6 properties.” Feb 7, 2006 by
John from Soda Springs, ID
“The motel was ok but old and musty. I really had no objections except the smell in halls and lobby. It was clean and fine.” Feb 7, 2006 by
R from Spanish Fork, UT
“Our non-smoking room had an odd smell, like too much perfume. The room was of a good size (double queens). No hairdryer or iron/ironing board (even though their website stated they did). We could hear *everything* that was going on upstairs: voices, walking, bed knocking against the wall, etc. The front desk did honor our request to move rooms to one with no one above us. Even then, we could still hear someone walking (creaking floor, etc.) Bottom line is that we will NEVER go back.” Jan 18, 2006 by
Jacob from Pocatello, ID
“Very old hotel, unclean bathrooms, facilities didn't work the whole stay (hot tub) the hotel was located on the other side of town from any mall, theater, restaurant etc.” Jan 2, 2006 by
Dave from Campbell, CA
“The hotel room was big and the bed was soft. It was cold in the room and the bathroom was little cramped.” Dec 23, 2005 by
Arlene from New Plymouth, ID
“Great motel, great price, large rooms.” Dec 22, 2005 by
Sue from Ashton, ID
“Although this property is very old, most of the areas that were being used were well kept. The carpeting in the room needs replaced. The hot tub was very clean, the pool closed for the season. Exercise room equipment needs replaced. Sauna was inoperable. Lobby area was well maintained. The hospitality room warm and gracious.” Dec 19, 2005 by
Arlene from New Plymouth, ID
“We really like the price, the clean, very large rooms and the staff is very friendly and helpful.” Dec 11, 2005 by
Michael from Moore, ID
“I found the hallways dark cold and foreboding. Other tenants were noisy and bouncing on floors until after midnight. Staff seemed not to care about me as a person. The room was clean except for small details in the bathroom. It was advertised as having a hot tub and weight room. It did but, to use the facilities one had to travel ice covered paths out of doors. I felt mislead in what to expect. There was a pool but, not for customer use.” Dec 4, 2005 by
Karen from Marbleton, WY
“We went to stay and do some Christmas shopping it was conveniently located to shopping it was clean and tidy and the staff was friendly.” Nov 26, 2005 by
Ron from Orem, UT
“The exterior of the hotel looked nice the interior is run down and dirty. This does not belong in the two star class. I have had much better for the same price.” Nov 24, 2005 by
Lincoln from Big Sky, MT
“I did not sleep well at all. Every time the people above moved I could hear them. It was only quiet from around 2:30 am to 6:30 am. Worst hotel I have stayed at in a very long time.” Hotel Representatives:
