• Extremely accommodating and comfortable.
• Not sure I love the dogs sitting on the sofa chairs in the foyer or eating real food in the restaurant.

“The hotel was extremely comfortable and staff was very accommodating. The rooms are large and bathrooms are so nice and spacious loved the separate tub and glass enclosed shower. The gardens are beautiful. The hotel is lovely, it's ambiance and cleanliness will assure, we will be back.”

• Attentive staff, beautiful location, convenient yet secluded.
• Paying $22 for parking, it's not downtown or anything where there is a shortage of parking.

“This resort was wonderful. There is beach access ($10) right across from the resort. Or you can drive about 5-10 south and go to Imperial Beach for free. Great area, love San Diego”

• The pool was relaxing, and we had a great breakfast at the Market restaruant.
• Broken safe, broken blow drier, room was not made up by housekeeping even by 5pm after we were gone all day.

“Our experience at the Loews was shockingly bad. First, we were informed upon check-in that the king room we had requested in advance was not available -- the only bed options were two fulls or a pull out queen size sleeper sofa. Yes, they actually offered us a sleeper sofa as an option! They would cut a suite in half and give us the living room portion. I found this really insulting and took the two double beds -- there went any hope of romance for me and my husband! The customer service only deteriorated from there. Broken safe in the room.”

• Beautiful, perfect stay.

“Remodeling was occuring and the hotel was not full. The grounds are beautiful the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was older and not yet remodeled but clean and very nice. We had a wonderful stay.”

• The view of the harbor lights was breath taking at night.
• The distance to Coronado downtown shops and ferry.

“The rooms are large and with private sitting balconies. The bathroom is design with a modern spa like feeling. This is definitely a dog friendly resort. Guest walk around sporting their pooches everywhere. If you are afraid of man's best friend this not the place to be.”

• Beautiful view, big bathtub.
• Walls were very thin, service at restaurant was poor.

“The walls here were very thin, and I could hear kids running up and down the hallways on the floor above us. Also, the housekeepers talked loudly the whole time they cleaned the room next to us and we could hear almost every word. Was good for our purposes, as we left early in the morning but I would have been extremely upset if I had wanted to sleep in or relax. Also, didn't bother with the hotel buffet. The service was poor and the food wasn't that good. You could do just as well at Denny's for cheaper.”

“The parking situation was a disaster. They had an event the weekend we were there. We had to move our car three times during the night because we were forced to park in a tow away zone.
A fire truck could not have gotten through. They filled the entire property with vehicles.”

“This very upscale but unpretensious resort is on the beautiful Silver Strand Beach on the south end of the magnificent Coronado Island. Fantastic views of the Bay and downtown San Diego looking through the grand Bay Bridge. Relaxing and rRomantic within a short stroll to the Pacific Ocean.”

• The pool area, near the beach and the view from the hotel room.
• It is not directly on the beach and not where all the shops and restaurants are.

“We really enjoy coming to this hotel because of its location and the rooms are also really nice with great views. The kids love the pool area and ordering the kid's meals there. They also like to play in the sand and lay on the kid's lounges. They are also very generous when celebrating special occasions and always gives you something special. They also give the kid's toys when they arrive which the kids really like.”

• The beds and bedding were fabulous. Room had a great view.
• We had no hair dryer. Had to request it four
  times before we got it.

“Overall great experience, however, we had two situations where the service fell down. We didn't have a hair dryer and it took 3 phone calls and finally a visit to the front desk to get one. The following morning, we went to the front desk and asked for creamer and they said they couldn't give it to us, they would sent it up. We never got it. It is a beautiful hotel, the beds and bedding was absolutely fabulous. The view from our room was great. Loved having a balcony to drink our morning coffee. Loved the robes. I would definitely stay again.

• Very friendly, helpful staff from moment we approached the gate.
• A minor disappointment. We arrived about mid afternoon famished. We assumed there would be a restaurant open on site.

“There are lots of fun activities for all ages. If you are inclined to lounge, you can do that too, on your balcony watching sailboats on the bay while sipping a glass of wine. The rooms are spacious and it's possible to spread out and watch TV or read. The friendly staff want you to enjoy!”

• We loved the pool area and location to beach.
• We were disappointed, there was no refrigerator in room, with having small children.

“The weather was perfect. The hotel really catered to our young children. The pool area was spacious and accommodated a large crowd without being over crowded. We loved the beach being so close to the hotel. We really missed having a fridge in our room, with having young children this is a necessity. Our overall experience was great.”

• In my opinion, this is a first class hotel. Friendly staff, clean facilities, a nice place.
• It was not a place for a romantic get away, at least this time of the year. Lots of kids.

“I've been visiting San Diego several times a year for the past 14 years, as my children and their mother live there. This was my first stay on Coronado as I usually stay in Mission Valley. The hotel was great, with a friendly staff, beautiful lobby, great bar in the lobby, and a fantastic restaurant called Mistral on premise. We had steak as a main course, which was very good. However, the best part of the meal was an artichoke heart appetizer, you must have it! The only complaint I had was that there were numerous small children running, screaming, and causing havoc, in the halls and in the pools. Had I been there with small children it wouldn't have been an issue. However, I was there with my new girlfriend and I had other things in mind.”

• Excellent friendly service. Across the street from the beach, free shuttle.
• Plumbing problem with the sink - wasn't able to change rooms due to capacity issue so they issued a $50 credit for breakfast and a late check out.

“The hotel exceeded our expectations. We felt secluded and in a resort like hotel. The room had a partial view of the bay. However it also had a part view of the parking structure. The poolside was excellent in the fact that they had an adult pool only yet the service wasn't impeccable when they charge for the extra accommodations such as snow cones, popsicles, and other perks that the 4 Seasons give you at their poolside. Would've made a difference. Overall, it was a great stay and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was worth staying at the Loews and I would go back there.”

• I liked the relaxing pool with towel service and Cantina.
• I didn't like paying all the extra fees: $13/day internet, $15/hr tennis, $22/day parking.

“Loews Coronado is a beautiful facility. It is located 3-4 miles away from downtown Coronado, on a strip of land that has a marina on the hotel side, the highway down the middle, and a beach on the other side. We used the hotel restaurant only for breakfast. Its service was unusual: a great breakfast buffet for $15, but a terribly slow line to be seated every day, while 10-12 tables sat empty.”

“The hotel is clean and in a nice getaway location. Gift shop and restaurateur personnel are very friendly. Restaurants and room service food were good. The bad was there was a not sop small brush fire underneath the foliage below our room. After no one showed up the neighbor called 911, who said they knew nothing of the fire form hotel staff. This brush fire was very smoky and set off the fire alarms for the entire building, waking my children and other guests children. Smoke filled several rooms and when many several guests with medical conditions, asthma for example asked if we could relocate, we were told that the, hotel Emergency Response Staff would be able to put down any fire that occurred. One man was coughing so much that other guests had to call a doctor because the desk staff said, we do not have a doctor but I can give you a list of numbers. Someone needs to tell this hotel that upscale includes meeting the needs of the guests, especially in an Emergency.”

• Shower in both rooms leaked.

“We were hoping for an early check in since our flight arrived early. But with turnover and cleaning it did not occur. In fact we checked into our first room 45 minutes after the established check in time. We would have appreciated a better read on the situation since we were traveling with an infant. During this time we did have access to the hotel's facilities though. Overall, the hotel experience was outstanding - very accommodating and service oriented.”

• This hotel was beautiful. We loved the pool area, dining and close proximity to everything.
• I would recommend not being placed on the bottom floor of any hotel. You hear the foot traffic of the people above you.

“We loved the hotel. We had a problem with the people above us who just happened to be two young girls partying and would walk non stop from 10-1 am back and dancing prior to going out for the night. We called the front desk, security and finally my husband handled it. On the second night of this occurring the security took care of it immediately. At check out my third night the hotel manager apologized and took steps to appease us. We loved the hotel and will be returning in October again.”

• The atmosphere setting and overall ambience is wonderful, also the room and bed very calm inviting and comfortable!
• The friendliness of the staff, the swimming pools and area, the spas and overall amience were what I expected.

“The overall setting for this get - away was the perfect choice for our 33 anniversery, the only damper on the whole experience was the overpriced poorly seasoned food at the Mistrel, the other restaurant cafe downstairs off the lobby was both tasty and priced correctly. I would and plan to visit this hotel again I truly felt like we rested and got a much needed break from our daily grind.”

• Beautiful location, great for the 40+ leisure traveler, wonderful amenities.
• Cleaning staff in the next room were a little loud one morning. Thats all!

• The room size and the access to coronado was excellent. Staff was courteous too.
• Not walking distance to shops and dining. Rental car a must. Also pool area could use some updating.

“All inclusive resort type atmoshphere, access to kayaks and boats, and the beach. Large rooms with views of the bay. Friendly staff and atmosphere. This was a family friendly type of hotel.”

• Right by the beach.
• 15 min drive to main section of Coronado.

“The hotel was great. Bed was comfortable. Only drawback is that it is 15 min away from main part of Coronado. You want a car if you are doing anything outside the hotel.”
