Greg from Brighton, MI
“They gave me a discounted room for the next night and moved me over to the better rooms (which would be a 3 star) instead of the dingy bug infected old rooms.” Aug 30, 2007 by
Phil from Palmetto, FL
“We enjoyed our stay there and would go back.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Ken from Dunedin, FL
“Had to walk to lobby for internet, 3.00 resort charge on a one star side 35.00 for up grade to 2 1/2 *side.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Amy from Philadelphia, PA
“This hotel is convenient to get to places around. However this hotel does not meet its expectation of a 2.5 star hotel. The room is not very clean. The hallway smells very funny. Neither elevator nor the hallway has air conditioner. Although the hotel is small but the pool is a pleasant place to hang out as a family. Its decent and spacious.” Aug 23, 2007 by
David from Jacksonville, FL
“Bang for the buck you cant beat it. The lobby and employees were fantastic! The room was not as one would think walking into the lobby but they were clean and I slept well so I am pleased.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Pat from Detroit, MI
“Surprisingly good quality rooms despite the negative reviews I had read. One room had to be changed due to unclean bathroom. Fantastic pool area.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Shelby from Ormond Beach, FL
“Dirty, old and rundown, stained carpet, toilet and shower did not work. Hotel charged an additional resort fee upon arrival. I have never stayed in place that was so gross and disgusting. There was crusty stuff and hair on the walls. I refused to shower in the room it was so bad.” Aug 19, 2007 by
Frank from Davie, FL
“I have been in Orlando many times; this is the worst hotel I stayed in. After two days in this hotel, I think it would be lucky for this hotel to make 1-star. The ice machine was out of order on the 5th floor close to my room. The elevator smells, so does the room. No complimentary breakfast. What I hate most is the hidden charge: a few dollars a day that you have to pay in addition.” Aug 17, 2007 by
Angelin from Andover, KS
“The hotel was impressive coming in, but had a lot of staff that didn't speak English which made things very difficult. The hotel buffet food was overcooked the morning we ate there and there wasn't a waffle buffet as they advertised. Room service was great; I never had to ask for towels once. Pool was open really late which was very enjoyable after the Disney parks. Dining and shopping were close by and very convenient to walk to, yet the hotel sits back far enough that it was very quiet. The little gift shop in the hotel had friendly staff and was nice when we needed something and didn't want to go out for it.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Charles from Spring Hill, FL
“Staff was rude. Hotel room was small and only had one child cable channel and about 20 channels all together. The rooms beneath ours were being refurbished and the elevators were nasty dirty.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Judy from Tonawanda, NY
“I had to spend $35 to upgrade my room to the new building with the deluxe rooms. The building my original room that you had booked for me was disgusting. The elevator didn't work properly and my room smelled like urine. I stayed in that room for maybe 5 minutes before going to back to the front desk. The staff member didn't apologize for the condition of the room just told me it will be another $35 to upgrade to a better room. The new building & rooms were very nice. Only recommend the deluxe room to your customers. I wouldn't even pay $1 to stay in those other old rooms. Very disappointed.” Aug 13, 2007 by
Delano from Miami, FL
“Convenient location and ample parking. The amenities were good. There was a $3.50 per diem hotel charge which did nor commensurate with the type of services. These services are standard in other areas.” Aug 12, 2007 by
Heather from Brandon, FL
“Room was old with stains on the carpet and a nasty odor to room with beds that you lay on and feel springs every where. Ask to see 3 other rooms and all of them where the same. Was very unhappy with hotel.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Loriann from Jacksonville, FL
“I stayed at this hotel for two nights and it was excellent. The quality of the room, the price of the room and the friendliness of the staff made this a great experience.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Kenneth from Marco Island, FL
“The hotel is dirty. The first room I went to the key did not work, so I had to walk to the lobby in the rain for a second key. This second key did not work so I went back to the lobby in the rain to get a new key, but the hotel decided to change me to a new room. I went to the new room and the key did not work. I went back to the lobby again for a new key. This time the hotel sent someone to the room to see if the keys worked, this time the keys worked. This key problem took a little over 1hour to resolve At 11:30 p.m. I returned, from the parks, to the room and let by wife in. I went across the street for food. When I returned the key did not work. I went back to the lobby for a new key. This key did not work, so I had to wake my wife up to open the door. In the morning, the shower head did not work correctly. To call this a 2.5 star resort is a joke.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Phyllis from St Petersburg, FL
“I've stayed at many hotels in the area. It was as good or better than any with the same rating.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Scott from Tipp City, OH
“Hotel was older and in need of some repairs was ok but not what I expected. Charged me an additional 10.50 for a resort fee.” Jul 31, 2007 by
Terry from Huntsville, AL
“The lobby and pool was nice but the room smelled like urine, there was body hair on the bathroom floor, the air was broken and it was over 80 in the room, and to make our night complete there were roaches running across the floor.” Jul 30, 2007 by
Terrie from Green Cove Springs, FL
“This was an ok hotel. When we go to Orlando, we know that we are not going to spend much time in the room, so this was ok.” Jul 28, 2007 by
Dick from Williamsville, NY
“As it shares the driveway with the ymca, it almost seemed to be a part of the YMCA.” Jul 26, 2007 by
Carrie from Jacksonville, FL
“I recently stayed at this hotel. This hotel is by no means a 3 star it is lucky to be 1 star. The carpet in our room was so filthy that my 18 month old child was forced to keep on socks or shoes the entire stay. We started the beginning of the week with towels, hand towels and wash cloths by day 2 we had to call front desk for wash cloths. They decided not to give toilet tissue on a daily basis we had to call the front desk for that as well. The pool was nice but the water was too warm. The pool steps needed to be cleaned to remove the slime. The rooms are no more than a regular low price hotel although the newer side to the hotel is supposes to be nicer you have to pay an additional $35 a night to upgrade. And there is a $3.50 a night resort fee. Once you get to the hotel you must pay that and also put a $25.00 deposit down for incidental charges. If you use cash you get it back at the end of your trip, if you use a debit card it can take up to 30 days to get your $25.00 deposit back so the lady said at check in. I would not choose this hotel as somewhere to stay in the future. In the mornings the carts for the cleaning crew actually sound like the building is falling down as they roll across the concrete outside. Our keycard quit working in the middle of our stay. But so did half our building. The bathtub was nasty if had scum buildup. I recommend anyone looking at this hotel to think about the Redroof inn or days inn first they are cleaner.” Jul 23, 2007 by
Jason from St. Petersburg, FL
“We did not want to stay in the room. It was filthy, old, the beds were literally sagging to the ground, and the door frames in the bathroom were rotting away. This room should be available only at star level 1. It was no where near a 2 and 1/2 star. I could not be more displeased. We would have left and gone home but we were at the theme park all day and didn't get to the room until midnight, and we were just too exhausted.” Jul 23, 2007 by
Victor from Miami, FL
“Worst hotel the I ever stay in my whole life” Jul 23, 2007 by
Michael from Jacksonville, FL
“New name, same place. Not much has changed, except a new "Resort Fee" added to your bill. Still the same hotel as before. Outer walkways could be updated. Nothing special, just a place to lay your head for the night.” Jul 21, 2007 by
Teresa from Wellington, FL
“If we put a do not disturb sign why in the world would the cleaning lady call and wake us up? They also charged a recreation fee and I understood everything was included.” Jul 21, 2007 by
Doug from Vancouver, WA
“I was incredibly disappointed! What a dive. This hotel is very tired. To call this place a resort is to call an AMC Gremlin a luxury sedan.” Jul 21, 2007 by
Larry from Colorado Springs, CO
“We just needed a place to sleep before continuing our trip. The room was comfortable, clean and quite. Perfect for what we needed. Did have a hard time finding the place.” Jul 20, 2007 by
Carrie from Jensen Beach, FL
“Upon arrival at the building the standard rooms were in was disheveled, the lights were falling off the wall. We asked the hotel clerk, if the rooms looked as bad as the outside? She did not answer, but said we could upgrade for an additional 30 dollars. We did, of course. The deluxe rooms were nicely remodeled, with very comfortable beds. We would not stay in the standard rooms at this hotel.” Jul 20, 2007 by
Ronnie from Mobile, AL
“Ok for family on vacation but not for business travelers.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Haydee from New Milford, NJ
“The rooms had water all over the floor, no ice machines worked, hotel was dirty, and we switched rooms after having fight to another dirty smelly room with more water on the floor. Elevators didn't work. Many other hotel guests were very disappointed as well. I would never ever stay there again.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Rebecca from Lake Mary Fl, FL
“Very nice pool and restaurant area. Lobby and room badly in need of renovation.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Evelyn from South Daytona, FL
“The public areas were nice, the room was old and shabby, unfriendly staff.” Jul 18, 2007 by
Katie from Jacksonville, FL
“Good basic hotel. The outside looks a little dated, but the hotel room was updated and clean. The staff was friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located to Universal Orlando, as well as many other attractions. I would stay here again.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Mark from Riverview, FL
“Great location, rude staff, three customers complained to management while I waited to check-in. The first room they gave us was infested w/ ants. Noticed while they were logging the issue, there were other people who had roach issues.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Marilyn from Haverhill, MA
“The hotel got a 10 on amenities. Great appearance on the outside. Location was great. Inside hotel room looked like a 1star hotel. Didn't smell clean at all. Musty almost as if it had been flooded. Hole in wall, bathroom ceiling was falling and leaking, no shower curtain, shower leaks onto the floor and floors gets soaked. Rug appeared to have been flooded at one point and never dried. Lamp bottoms were wet and dirty at the bottom which stained the bureaus. The beds were made and fine very comfortable, coffee maker was dirty and had hair in it (I wanted to use it but didn't dare too). The Hotel and Staff were great but the room needs some work. Mostly the dampness in the room. I did check out early because I didn't enjoy the room as much as I should have because the amenities were great. There was some running from children on vacation at 2:30 am which I opened the door to and gave them a piece of my mind, but that was just the first night there after that it never happened again. It was fine overall. I'd stay there again but would want a better room a safer room perhaps I had two young girls with me.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Rick from New Port Richey, FL
“Quick, easy check-in/check-out. Nice, clean room. The beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the pool area. As nice as many more expensive hotels I have stayed in.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Nancy from Tallahassee, FL
“Great lobby and deli for quick meal and take-out didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked great.” Jul 17, 2007 by
H from Schiller Park, IL
“I would give this hotel 1.5 stars, it has the feel of another 1 star establishment that is known by a number, except it had 2 beds and the room was larger, otherwise it was eerily identical, including the spotted carpet and chairs & leftovers from previous occupants under the beds, I have to admit I was expecting it to be quite a bit better than it was.” Jul 16, 2007 by
Theresa from Clarksville, TN
“Wonderful Hotel, Great location for Universal Parks or Sea World Parks. Great location all around for all kinds of fun! Would stay there again! The only disappointing thing was that the elevators in the older/cheaper part of the hotel were not air conditioned and in my opinion in Florida that is a must the elevator ride may have been short but if there was more then 2 in the elevator it could be very uncomfortable.” Jul 16, 2007 by
Lingyun from Pittsburgh, PA
“This hotel is definitely not worth a 2 and half rating. I found roach in my room. The sheet is not very clean and has holes on it. Either charged or free internet access is not available in the room. There is a mandatory hidden $3.5 service charge when we checked out.” Jul 15, 2007 by
Joi from Denver, CO
“The hotel is more like a 2 star. It is basically a place to lie down at night to sleep only. Just the basics for the room and the backside of the hotel were pretty dark and scary. Needed to get on the internet but the business center was small and very crowded space. Close to lots of restaurants.” Jul 14, 2007 by
Devi from Smyrna, GA
“I will never stay here again. This hotel needs a 1 star rating or lower, the room stunk, there were cracks in the tub and sink, roaches roaming around, bathroom door was broken, definitely not worth the money. They charged me $ 3.5 resort fee when I checked out, I mean, what resort? The hotel has deluxe rooms for which they charge extra, which I did not wish to take. The hotel staff could not even help me log on to the wireless internet (which is only available in the lobby) because they didn't know how? So I had to figure it out by myself.” Jul 13, 2007 by
Dale from Flowery Branch, GA
“While this hotel was centrally located, the bathroom had a broken toilet seat, dirty linen, bathroom sink backed up, and the staff was not friendly in any manner, my children and I felt as if we were imposing on them, they seemed to want to talk to each other about their lives. The indoor pool that they claim to have is actually at the YMCA next door, and not really for the guests.” Jul 13, 2007 by
Lorie from Vienna, WV
“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The sheets and blanket had a smell. There was mold in the bathroom and cobwebs in the room. The A/C leaked water into the room and the carpet in front was wet. Near the A/C was a floor lamp. This was a fire hazard.” Jul 12, 2007 by
Lisa from Avon, OH
“This was a good, basic hotel without a lot of frills. The room was large enough and basically clean. The appliances (iron, lamps, TV.) were somewhat old. They could be replaced. The air conditioning worked well, but was very loud. The pool area was very nice with many padded lounge chairs. The lobby and restaurant were also very nice. I would definitely stay here again.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Ellen from Pepperell, MA
“This hotel uses a bait and switch method for non wary travelers. I arrived just before midnight and asked for a room in the tower with inside corridors (rooms advertised on their website). Even though they had rooms I was told it would cost 30 dollars more. The door was dented, the area was deserted. To be fair the sheets where clean, the bathroom although run down was clean. There was a good lock on the inside of the door. Since we were leaving early in the am and were exhausted we decided to take it.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Aviva from Jacksonville, FL
“This hotel was really nice. We loved our room. It was large with a sitting area, large closet, & mini bar sink. We were expecting something that was only 2.5 stars and I think it's a bit nicer than that. We called and requested a king-sized, non-smoking & they had no trouble accommodating. Our room also looked out over the pool/courtyard instead of the parking lot so that was nice. The downsides were that the key they gave us for the room wouldn't open the door. I had to walk back and forth three times before I got a key that worked. Front desk was extremely professional and nice. Finally, the hot tub by the pool was disgustingly dirty. We were sitting there and started to notice everything floating in the water around us. Got out of there pretty fast. Our coffee pot in our room didn't work. As for location, it was a little further south on I-Drive than my preference but not too big a deal.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Michelle from Naples, FL
“The beds are uncomfortable and the room was extremely humid. We could not find a humidifier and the AC wasn't doing the job. But, it was very close to all of our destinations and convenient for everything we were doing. So, there was both good and bad.” Jul 10, 2007 by
Andrea from Jacksonville, FL
“We were originally given one of the outside motel style room in the old section. Room smelled, carpet was burnt with an iron mark. Upgraded to newer section for $30.00. Rooms were much nicer with sleep number beds. Warning: adjust bed at a reasonable hour. Very loud motors and takes a while to fill/unfill. Otherwise, a nice hotel.” Jul 10, 2007 by
Lenny from Miami, FL
“Behind the facade of a beautiful lobby, the rooms and amenities themselves had a lot be desired. Broken laundry facilities and ice machines were real thumbs down. The lack of TV options was sad.” Hotel Representatives:
