• These are the best beds I have ever slept in at a hotel.

“I found this hotel to be very comfortable, very quiet, and very convenient as it relates to the parking and hotel accommodations to the location to main thoroughfares. Also, in the room, I was able to connect very quickly to the internet for business I needed to complete. It was a very pleasant stay after a very busy week.”

• The pool, we liked the microwave/fridge in room very much.
• There is an overall dank, musty smell/ not very clean.

“This hotel has a strange musty smell throughout, the beds are not comfortable, our curtains fell down and the whole place is not very clean. On the positive we loved having a fridge/microwave, the pool is large and very nice and open till 12am - breakfast is also very good.”

• Easy to access from the freeway.
• Lack of king size bed in non-suite rooms.

“Our room was nice but we had to have 2 queen beds, as it was not a suite. The beds took up all the space, so the desk/table was tiny. It would not be difficult to raise the light fixture, acquire a second night stand and replace the 2 queens with a king.”

• Great location, close to entertainment.
• Staff was a little curt.

“This hotel is great, it has basically everything you'd find in a 3-star hotel (minus room service). Plus it's a rather big hotel overall so there are meeting rooms, lounges, laundry, and other things you might not expect in a 2.5 star facility. Clean and comfortable with the extra touches you'd expect from a hotel that's much more expensive.”

• The staff was friendly and the complementary breakfast was good.
• The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn't horrible.

“This hotel is very close to shopping and other things to do nearby. The staff was very friendly and was knowledgable. The complementary breakfast was very good. Overall the hotel was clean and presentable. I would definately stay here again.”

• The pool was open late.
• The continental breakfast was so crowded we couldn't even eat it, had to go somewhere else.

“Continental breakfast was so packed that no one could even squeeze in there. We went at about 9am, so maybe the early bird gets the worm, not sure. Also, there was a spider in our room. Other then that, it was good. Nice pool/spa, clean bathrooms, etc.”

• For a basic room, it seemed quite upscale, including a fridge and micro.
• My only dislike is that the hot tub does not have jets aimed at sore back mussels.

“Right off the interstate, very convenient. Great for an upscale hotel room! Nice pool, hot tub and exercise room. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly.”

• Loved the pool/hot tub area. Plenty of room for all people that were using it when we were there.
• No vending machines on the floor we stayed on.

“This hotel is great for families. Has a wonderful pool area and great breakfast. They also have whirlpool and business suites available, so they are very accommodating to all travelers. We also appreciated the fridge and microwave that were in our room.”

“The star rating did not carry past the front lobby. I paid extra to up grade to a suite and was very disappointed in the room. The size was the only thing that qualified as a suite. There needs to be some up dating to the bedding, TV, and air conditioning.”

“The suite indication is a bit of a misnomer. The room was comfortable and nice but it was not a suite. Other than that I found nothing negative and would recommend the hotel to others without any hesitation.”

• The indoor pool is big and warm. Also the hot tub. They have a nice big breakfast to offer.
• The rooms weren't very big.

“They said we had used a water bottle in the room when we hadn't touched them. After 3 calls, they finally removed the charge but still didn't believe us.”

• The exercise room was nice and the continental breakfast was very good.
• Someone above me kept walking back and forth half of the night, so the sound proof wasn't good.

• My room was located across from an entrance, so I heard people coming in and out all night and early morning.

• The size of the king study was more than adequate.

“This hotel has an excellent location with proximity to several restaurants and shopping areas. The staff was friendly and remembered us from previous stays at the hotel. Even though I arrive late, I had no problem checking in. This hotel is quiet. My room was located across from the breakfast room, yet I did not hear any noise until I opened my door.”

• The pool and hot tub were beautiful and large to accommodate many people.
• The beautiful fireplace was not lit.

“This hotel is a beautiful place. From the moment you enter, you see the wonderful fireplace, you are offered a fresh cookie, and you are greeted very warmly. There is a great little store in the lobby where you can pick up something you forgot or buy a snack, even Blue Bunny ice cream. The rooms are very spacious and wonderfully decorated with more than the basic furnishings. The breakfast is worth getting up for. There are many choices, both hot and cold, to satisfy an taste or diet. I would definitely stay here again!”

• Excellent complimentary breakfast. Extremely helpful staff on the night shift. He was very accomodating.
• Wanted non-smoking room. On arrival, had smoking and no equivalent in it's place. However, after viewing room, found it clean not smelling of smoke.

• Its location in West Des Moines was perfect for getting around the area.
• No hot water for shower.

“The hotel was ok. Typically with the 2 1/2 star hotels we get a little nicer, but it was ok. We needed to change to a room with two beds at the last minute. We paid the extra $20/night to do so, only to find out the extra bed was just a couch (an uncomfortable one at that). Complementary breakfast was marginal at best.”

• Comfortable roomy room, nice pool, great breakfast.
• Too crowded in the morning (booked that night and very busy).

“We stayed at this hotel on a very busy Saturday night. The staff managing breakfast in the morning was working very hard to try to keep up with the mass amounts of people there for breakfast. Much of the food was running out, the breakfast area was too small to hold everyone, and everyone wanted to make waffles so the line was very long and congested. I cannot fault the hotel for a big crowd but if this is normal for their occupancy, maybe they should move breakfast to a larger area or offer a few more "served" items to get people out of the area faster. With two young children, we really enjoyed the pool and whirlpool. They were clean and nice. We also enjoyed the fitness center. We've discovered that all hotels have multiple pieces of equipment for guests but only plug in two pieces of equipment. This was the case here as well. If you are not going to have the equipment working, why have it there at all? Deceiving in my mind. Overall we had a fabulous experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. oh, one more thing...our room was very roomy offering a pull out couch where our three year old slept. She loved it and we loved having a bit more room with her off to the side a bit.”

• Free cookies, big pool and big spa, wonderful breakfast with a TV. and computer.
• Spa timer could've lasted a bit longer, as a nonsmoker being in a smoking room, a few air fresheners could've helped.

“Overall, the hotel looked good inside and out. It had an incredible breakfast and I really enjoyed the pool and spa. The place was just beautiful with the wooden floors and the wonderful customer service. I would recommend this to one and all.”
