• Check in was quick, had good heat.
• Only luke warm water at best in shower at around 8 PM.

• Appearance, cleanlines, decor, comfort, television selection.
• Parking is tight, phone didn't work.

“Excellent hotel, nice, small, easy to get to, located in a very nice neighborhood, plenty of shopping and eating nearby, close to the Metro rail station and CTA yellow line is not too far, either. If you are looking for amenities, go downtown, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable room where you are going to sleep and shower, stay here. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was good and the room was great. The parking is a little tight, but you won't walk far.”

• My room didn't have a fridge, and it was hard to connect to the wireless.

“It looks more like motel instead of hotel. The inside is clean but the outside surrounding not clean enough for a star hotel. Good customer service from manager.”

• The free breakfast was really great and had lots of choices and I really liked the heat lamp feature in the bathrooms.
• The room was small and not very accommodating for needing to do business work while in the room.

“Overall I had a very enjoyable experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and considerate and the rooms and hotel were very clean. Breakfast was excellent!”

• Coffee at breakfast, vending machine left ground in each cup. Not good! Decent coffee is so easy this was in excusable.

“It wasn't bad on the whole, but they returned my ID to me with my room key, rather than hand it to me directly, for a time I thought that they had lost it, It should have been handed to me the way I handed it to the staffer, not included in the sleeve as if was a room key! It could have been cheaper but, it was in Crook, I mean, Cook County, IL so not bad considering that!”

• Beautiful, clean room on the outskirts of Downtown Chicago. Inexpensive!
• I wish the sign was bigger from the road, I almost passed it.

“Clean, spacious room that was a peaceful haven from Chicago traffic. Desk, couch, coffee table, and queen size bed made the room feel like home. Even with the detour we encountered, it only took 15 minutes to get to O'Hare airport. Hotel is located about 15 to 25 minutes from Downtown Chicago depending on traffic. Also a nice little breakfast bar.”

• Good Clean room, recently updated, vaulted ceiling and mini frig was a bonus.
• We had a room in the front and had to park in the back one night.

“This is a good hotel for the money. The train from Skokie is about a five minute drive and you can park there for 2 bucks and take the train into Downtown. If you time it right you can take the yellow Skokie line and then the express purple train before 9:45 in the morning or after 2:45 in the afternoon and that will save about 25 minutes getting Downtown. Otherwise the red line will take you in about an hour. But for the price and the cleanliness of the hotel the long ride is worth it.”

“The rooms were neat. There should be some type of deodorizer in all the smoking rooms. I was very disappointed that I had a smoking room. I don't smoke and explained that I wanted to change rooms and they were going to charge me extra $. I asked for Fabreze or some type of spray because it still smelled like smoke. I had to go to CVS to purchase Lysol and Fabreze.”

• Your door to your room is open to the outside. Security.

• Very nice breakfast buffet. Top notch materials in bathroom surfaces.
• Loud heater kept turning on and off all night, waking us up. Comforter raked of smoke.

• Its location in relation to where I was traveling was good.
• Nothing I didn't like per se, it's just that it was basic temporary housing.

• It smelled. The hotel staff was more interested in watching TV. They did not tell us about the breakfast or check out time.

“I am not likely to ever stay at a best western again. If that was a two star hotel, I want to know where they get their ratings from.”

• Business center in the lobby was a plus to print boarding passes.
• Breakfast area could be small for busy mornings. .

“Hotel was great for the value. Staff was friendly and breakfast was sufficient for my needs. Free high speed internet was a plus. I would return, since it is not to far from Chicago and northwestern university. .”

• The continental breakfast has not much of choices. They need to check if the beverage/ juice dispenser is constantly replenished.

• The rooms had been recently redecorated.
• The staff was rude and impolite.

“The hotel experienced a power outage at 7am in the morning which delayed my arrival to work. They were not attentive to the problem and did not acknowledge the inconvenience it caused to its patrons. The power outage was not caused by the weather, but rather appeared to have been caused by their inferior electrical system.”

• They had coffee available.
• The smell of the air freshener was overwhelming.

“Breakfast was a choice of hardboiled eggs, Danish, or cereal. Very small area for breakfast and it seemed to be filled with relatives of the hotel owner. While the room was clean, the smell of Lysol (or whatever it was) was so overwhelming that had I been able to find another place to stay, I would have left.”

• Close to the location requested.
• Usually you find 2 queen beds, here they had a queen and a twin sofa bed, very uncomfortable.

“It should not offer 2 queen beds if they don't have them, also work was being done outside of my room and I was woke up (as early as 7:30am) very early in the morning trough out my stay, hotel staff was friendly and apologetic but did not help. Maybe and extra free night's stay or free meal.”

• Location and Value: two blocks from train into downtown.
• Small rooms.

“For the price I was pleased with my stay. It appears that they are doing some renovations to outside as they were painting during our stay. Rooms were smaller than usual, however the value was unbeatable. Close to the train into downtown. Close drive to major mall and express way. Will definitely return hotel.”

• Rooms were very clean and recently updated.
• Did not accommodate our requests prior to us arriving.

“Despite the somewhat "shady" appearance of the exterior of this motel, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very large for a motel of this size. We had requested a non-smoking room with 2 doubles and a crib, which the motel had said they would accommodate on the phone, but after we checked in, they placed us in a room with one double - unacceptable for our party of 4. The clerk was quick to amend the situation, however, and apologized saying that his manager is "always moving stuff around so he never knows where the beds are".”

• The continental breakfast is okay.
• It is quite run down, the corridor leading to the room smells badly (urine odor).

“The staff is not accommodating in room selection. If you want to have a non-smoking room, you have to upgrade your room and pay extra, the same applies if you want a double bed room. This is a really frustrating experience with this motel. I would not recommend this motel to anybody.”

• Air conditioner fan stopped.

“Clean inside, mess in back, fan sounded like a thrash machine when we turned it on and quit during the night. Help friendly but misinformed us about having to stay the second night as we had a death in the family. Took insurance out but what good does it do, none!”

• The hotel was very convent to the transportation and restraints.
• You could hear other guest in there room.

“All in the entire hotel was excellent, I did lose power during my stay but they were quick to fix it for me. The free internet access was great and the hotel staff was very quick to help me with any questions I had.”

• The price was economical the accommodations were clean and in good condition.
• The noise from the traffic could be heard in the early morning. May be a disturbance to some.

• Forgot the regular coffee one day.

• Great variety for breakfast. Overwhelming. Well maintained rooms.
• Exterior needed a little more attention. But okay.
