- Good location and friendly, helpful staff.
- Room was next to construction noise. Wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom walls.
“Grand Stockton is currently being renovated on the outside. That said, our room was on the second floor right next to construction crew outside. I would not rate this a 3 star based on my experience and especially during its renovation. Guests suffer.”

- Very noisy, doors slamming, loud music, too much human traffic.
“Though the staff was very nice and accommodating, the place was a little too noisy for us. Relatively clean, but a little worn. Tub drain and bathroom sink clogged and slow to drain.”

- Upscale, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!
- I loved everything.
“A beautiful place to stay. It was very romantic. The decor was modern, flat screen TV in the room, coffee pot, ironing stuff. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed. There are tons of pillows which are very nice. They really spent a lot of time designing it and definitely didn't cut corners. I was very impressed and will be staying there in the future.”

- Large lobby inviting, room tastefully decorated.
- Pool and spa out of order.
“Hotel was hard to find, only because it doesn't look like hotel from outside, I thought it was condo/apartment building and drove right by. Lobby was large and inviting, Restaurant was reasonably priced, renovated rooms were gorgeous. I had view of canal and it was pleasant, quiet neighborhood, close to stores and restaurants.”

- I asked for a room near the elevator, she said sure and I got instead (1 room from the end of the building).

- I will never stay there, that hotel was far from 3 star.
- They had spiders, and bad service.
“First, I was assigned to a room with someone already there; I had to go back down to get assigned to a room without a lock. They finally gave me a room that was ok, but I found a spider. During my stay in this hotel, although I had that do not disturb sign on the door, I still was by the front desk and by housekeeping asking if you were checking out that day. The hotel was not rated correctly, since it is far from a three star hotel. I will never stay in that hotel and will let my co-workers and friend know 'not to stay there'.”

- Wonderful beds with 4 big fluffy pillows & a flat screen TV! Wow!
- Other than the remodeling going on, it didn't affect our stay at all.
“Easy to find from the airport, convenient parking, friendly & helpful staff, wonderfully comfortable beds with down comforters and a flat screen TV. Room service was prompt and the food we ordered for breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.”

- Location right off of the freeway was convenient, nice coffee shop/bakery right across the street.
- Dark, dingy, old. Lock doors with chains around them.
“Great location, old hotel desperately needing renovation. Bathroom while clean was dark and small. Locking doors by running chains around the handles is not my idea of a 3 star hotel. Parking is on the opposite end of the elevators causing a long trek to your room with heavy bags.”

“The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped with all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. It seemed to have been newly renovated. The bathroom was modern and had an oversized oval tub. There was a separate sink outside the bath with coffee machine, ice bucket, cups and glasses and other typical amenities. The hotel has a restaurant, a sports bar, and room service up until 11pm. Most important of all, the service here was wonderful. And that is what has left the most important impression on us. I guess the service counts.”

- It was a place to sleep!
- The bed was small, the pool & spa were outside- too cold to swim!
“This place did not live up to the three stars it was given. The beds were small and very uncomfortable (we had a double that felt barely bigger than a twin). The bathroom was in need of cosmetic attention (which apparently is planned). If we travel through Stockton again, we will not stay here.”

- Close to Freeway, Staff changed room for us.
- Very old, A/C didn't work, mattress falling apart.
“This hotel was the worst hotel I've stayed. It is not a 3 star level. It is more like a 1-2 star level. The A/C didn't work in our first room, the mattress had the springs sticking out in our second room. They finally moved us to a newly renovated room that was OK. The staff was reluctantly helpful in finally getting us to a decent room. Close to restaurants and freeway.”

- The lobby is the only nice area of the hotel. It has recently been renovated.
- Everything but the lobby needs updating.

“The beds did not even have a fitted sheet, and I could feel every spring in the mattresses. Most of the power outlets did not work. There were holes in the shower walls and dead bugs on the floor in the bathroom. My room key only worked half of the time. It was in every respect the worst hotel experience I have ever had. ”

- The staff and the location - the staff remembered to ask about the confirmation we attended. And I loved the glass elevator.
- The bathroom was the littlest bath room I had ever been in - the closet was as big as the bathroom - in behalf of the hotel they were remodeling.
“The hotel was in the process of remodeling and there was no dust. Wow all that work going on and no dust. I am impressed with the cleaning staff. The desk staff was great, I loved the glass elevator, but the tiny, little bathroom was very uncomfortable. I hope the bathroom is something that will change.”

“I stayed here years ago when it was the Hilton and it was old and dirty; as the Stockton Grand it is still old and dirty. Now it is has been bought by Hilton again and they are doing a remodel so maybe it will be clean and attractive someday - written March 31, 2007.”

- The large, open atrium-like center of the hotel made for a spacious feeling.
- The beds & TV¿s could be upgraded.
“The hotel was extremely clean both in the public areas and the rooms. The hotel staff was very efficient when notified them that the TV remote was not working. When double charged for a movie the front desk was very helpful and corrected the charge. The hotel is located in a nice area and very conveniently located, by car, to restaurants & shopping. I would definitely stay here again.”

- Location is central to doing business in Stockton.
- It took over 2 hours to get my room to 75 degrees after checking in.
“The Stockton grand appears to be making a change-over from the Radisson. New mattresses and decor are being switched out. Some of the room service menus are the Radisson menus with grand stickers put over the Radisson Name. My room was freezing upon check in. After waiting an hour and a half for the temperature to go up, I asked for a room change which they graciously provided. However, the new room was even colder and the heater was just as pathetic. The outside temperature was 40 degrees and they did not have the heater running when I got to the room. Good thing I was solo, my wife would have hated it! I did too! I've stayed at 2 star hotels in Stockton with just as nice of a room and a great heater. The grand did not deserve the rate they got from me and the 3 star rating.”

- A little offs the beaten path but everything you need from coffee, lounge, dining, is all here! We enjoyed it.
- A little older, but under renovation. I would stay again!
“The hotel is a little older, but clean. There are many food and beverage choices within the hotel and near the hotel. The staff was wonderful and the price was better!”

- Convenient location.
- For a 3 star room, it had stains on carpet and a slow tub drain, and very noisy.
“The public areas were acceptable but the room left much to be desired. For a so called 3 star hotel, motel6 has better rooms. The mattress on one of the beds had innersprings that you could feel through the mattress top. Because we got the room at "our price", we must have gotten the worst room in the place.”

- I like the fact that it was inside, that it was close to restaurants were I could walk too.
- The parking was not lit up at night.

- The people at the FD were nice. Especially the person who checked us out.
- The hotel severely needed to be redone
“Disgusting! We had hair and popcorn on the bathroom floor and under the edge of the bathroom counter. The trash had dried white pancake batter looking liquid that had spilled down the side. One bed had biohazard stains on the sheets! and smelt like a puppy. Mildew was covering the spaces between the bathroom shower tiles. The tub felt like it was about to give way and the cold water spiket would not work. It just spun around and around. At seven in the morning that last thing you want is a stranger in your room fixing the shower! When we arrived at the hotel we were so tired that we didn't notice all of the dirtiness until morning. If we had noticed we never would have stayed at such a place.”
