• Bottom mattress on one of the beds was torn exposing the entire inside.

• The maid really knew how to clean the room.
• The first room was old and need to be remodeled.

• It was a place to sleep!
• The bed was small, the pool & spa were outside- too cold to swim!

“This place did not live up to the three stars it was given. The beds were small and very uncomfortable (we had a double that felt barely bigger than a twin). The bathroom was in need of cosmetic attention (which apparently is planned). If we travel through Stockton again, we will not stay here.”

“This hotel I have stayed at before. The hotel has a very friendly staff. It is a bit older and the rooms are clean. The surrounding area I was not sure about the safety. I like to walk outdoors. Many apartments. I would stay here again.”

• Nice, big rooms. Lobby area is very large and well appointed.
• The parking lot was in very bad condition.

“It is a large hotel with nice and big rooms. It is a plus to have a breakfast room on the premises, but they did not offer a free continental breakfast and the breakfast cost was quite high ($25.00 to $30.00) with tax and a tip.”

• Close to Freeway, Staff changed room for us.
• Very old, A/C didn't work, mattress falling apart.

“This hotel was the worst hotel I've stayed. It is not a 3 star level. It is more like a 1-2 star level. The A/C didn't work in our first room, the mattress had the springs sticking out in our second room. They finally moved us to a newly renovated room that was OK. The staff was reluctantly helpful in finally getting us to a decent room. Close to restaurants and freeway.”

• The lobby is the only nice area of the hotel. It has recently been renovated.
• Everything but the lobby needs updating.

“Good location. Easy to find. Rooms are very old and outdated. Beds are painful. Furniture is sparse. Pool needed cleaning. 1 and 1/2 stars at the most.”

• Nice clean and quiet hotel with excellent staff. Plenty of security.
• They were remodeling, but it did not affect us.

“The rooms are awful. Closets were broken, bathtub looked terrible. They moved us to a different room with working A/C but it was still a dated room. Perhaps after the hotel is fully renovated.”

“This hotel will not be appropriate as a Hilton, perhaps as a Marriott or Sheraton or other mid-grade hotel though it would.”

• Uncomfortable mattresses, smelly room, cheap sheets, dirty bathroom, worst place I have ever stayed

“The beds did not even have a fitted sheet, and I could feel every spring in the mattresses. Most of the power outlets did not work. There were holes in the shower walls and dead bugs on the floor in the bathroom. My room key only worked half of the time. It was in every respect the worst hotel experience I have ever had. ”

• The staff and the location - the staff remembered to ask about the confirmation we attended. And I loved the glass elevator.
• The bathroom was the littlest bath room I had ever been in - the closet was as big as the bathroom - in behalf of the hotel they were remodeling.

“The hotel was in the process of remodeling and there was no dust. Wow all that work going on and no dust. I am impressed with the cleaning staff. The desk staff was great, I loved the glass elevator, but the tiny, little bathroom was very uncomfortable. I hope the bathroom is something that will change.”

“I stayed here years ago when it was the Hilton and it was old and dirty; as the Stockton Grand it is still old and dirty. Now it is has been bought by Hilton again and they are doing a remodel so maybe it will be clean and attractive someday - written March 31, 2007.”

• The large, open atrium-like center of the hotel made for a spacious feeling.
• The beds & TV¿s could be upgraded.

“The hotel was extremely clean both in the public areas and the rooms. The hotel staff was very efficient when notified them that the TV remote was not working. When double charged for a movie the front desk was very helpful and corrected the charge. The hotel is located in a nice area and very conveniently located, by car, to restaurants & shopping. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Location felt safe.
• Beds had cheap mattress, pillows and sheets. Carpeting was very old. Didn't have an up scale look or feel.

“If you¿re looking for the comforts of an up scale hotel at a great price don¿t stay here. You'll have the great price but with out the up scale feel.”

• Location is central to doing business in Stockton.
• It took over 2 hours to get my room to 75 degrees after checking in.

“The Stockton grand appears to be making a change-over from the Radisson. New mattresses and decor are being switched out. Some of the room service menus are the Radisson menus with grand stickers put over the Radisson Name. My room was freezing upon check in. After waiting an hour and a half for the temperature to go up, I asked for a room change which they graciously provided. However, the new room was even colder and the heater was just as pathetic. The outside temperature was 40 degrees and they did not have the heater running when I got to the room. Good thing I was solo, my wife would have hated it! I did too! I've stayed at 2 star hotels in Stockton with just as nice of a room and a great heater. The grand did not deserve the rate they got from me and the 3 star rating.”

• A little offs the beaten path but everything you need from coffee, lounge, dining, is all here! We enjoyed it.
• A little older, but under renovation. I would stay again!

“The hotel is a little older, but clean. There are many food and beverage choices within the hotel and near the hotel. The staff was wonderful and the price was better!”

• For a 3 star room, it had stains on carpet and a slow tub drain, and very noisy.

“The public areas were acceptable but the room left much to be desired. For a so called 3 star hotel, motel6 has better rooms. The mattress on one of the beds had innersprings that you could feel through the mattress top. Because we got the room at "our price", we must have gotten the worst room in the place.”

• I like the fact that it was inside, that it was close to restaurants were I could walk too.
• The parking was not lit up at night.

• The people at the FD were nice. Especially the person who checked us out.
• The hotel severely needed to be redone

“Disgusting! We had hair and popcorn on the bathroom floor and under the edge of the bathroom counter. The trash had dried white pancake batter looking liquid that had spilled down the side. One bed had biohazard stains on the sheets! and smelt like a puppy. Mildew was covering the spaces between the bathroom shower tiles. The tub felt like it was about to give way and the cold water spiket would not work. It just spun around and around. At seven in the morning that last thing you want is a stranger in your room fixing the shower! When we arrived at the hotel we were so tired that we didn't notice all of the dirtiness until morning. If we had noticed we never would have stayed at such a place.”

• I stayed at the Radisson not the Grand.
• Asked for extra pillows 1st night and was refused by the maid, next day nicer maid got pillows.

“The Radisson was very nice. The lobby is beautiful and the room was big but standard for most hotels. My grand daughter loved it. The parking is terrible. Saturday night very tired and could not find a parking spot which was irritating. Other than that it was just fine.”

“Found a friendly staff but facilities need renovation. Closet's sliding doors were not working properly, water service was out all day! Shower handles need replacement, poor toilet drainage. Ironing board was broken.”

“The staff (restaurant, front desk, bell staff) all mentioned that they were going to remodel. It is a good thing because almost everything we touched was broken. At least my toddler couldn't hurt anything in this room! Even the heat was broken!”

• They were very friendly and helpful.
• Bathroom didn't have a vent fan.

“We were treated very well, the staff was very kind. I'm from Stockton so this is one of the best locations you can get. There are stores and restaurants near by. It has a pool and hot tub that looked well kept (we didn't get an opportunity) The pizza they offer was wonderful. I was happy, and will stay there in the future when I return to visit.”

• Lack of security/lighting in parking lot. Bedding leaves a lot to be desired.

“This place needs better security/more lighting in the parking lot! After reading other reviews, I was apprehensive about staying here, but there aren't many hotel choices in Stockton during a softball tournament. So I gave it a try. One of our softball parents got his car broken into during the night (it had an alarm/no one heard it). Work done by pros---lock drilled out, they took all speakers, stereo, video screens & daughter's softball gear. They had a lot of time to take it all out. Bring your attack dog & leave it in the car at night! The room I had was basic, but apparently not used recently? Water from sink & shower was brown w/rust-yuk. The bed & pillows were lumpy, hallway carpet on our floor was different colors/patterns down the hallway. Maybe the rest of the hotel was better? ON THE PLUS SIDE-Staff pleasant. Lobby was very nice.”

• Clerk left us in middle of check -in to help someone else; another clerk from back finished with us. Bed & bedding not 3 star quality.

“Location is lovely, and room is tastefully furnished, but the bed and bedding is more appropriate to a Motel 6, than a 3 star hotel.”

“If you have to stay in Stockton, this hotel is pretty much your best option. It is not the nicest, but it isn't horrible either. And considering it is in Stockton, at least you will won't get shot in front of it, which is saying a lot.”

• OLD! Worn around edges, Dbl beds?? Bath tiny.

“This is not what I expected of a Radisson hotel, the hotel is showing it age! Although it is clean and the staff friendly and the rooms neat and tidy, it is in dire need of updating, I mean double beds?? Good thing I am short and was alone! Also the bathroom was so tiny I had to practically straddle the toilet to shut the bathroom door. Good thing I didn't pay rack rate or I would have been very unhappy. But for what I named for my price it was suitable for the short business trip. Also the free wireless Internet was worth at least 9 to 10 bucks a day.”
