• Proximity to the airport.
• Television was on the way out.

“It was fine for an overnight before a flight. It's proximity to the airport was its greatest asset, although there was nothing to particularly dislike about it. Our bed had a night table and lamp on only one side and our television was on the fritz, but the staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was excellent.”

“Clean, friendly staff, convenient parking and access to freeway and restaurants. The hotel restaurant was good, plus free breakfast was better than most hotels. Free wifi a plus.”

“This time, the front desk clerk put me into one of the newly remodeled rooms. Wow, definitely worth it if you can get them. Either way well worth the money. The free breakfast and wireless internet closes the deal. Highly recommended for the no-frills business traveler.”

• Breakfast was some how better than other hotels that offer free breakfast.
• The fact that it did not feel remodeled.

“Hotel is conveniently located by the airport and it is very easy to find. People at the front desk were helpful (I did not like that some did not wear dress up clothes or perhaps uniform). The free breakfast was unexpected and very convenient. Rooms were clean and good size. I believe it needs some updated, towels, beds and heaters.”

• Average deal for an average room. The plus is a breakfast buffet!
• The room I was in has drainage problems.

“Very clean, very comfortable, computer room was excellent, staff were responsive, bed was comfortable, shower was great, coffee was standard coffee. Staff went out of their way to help me use the computer facility. We had two rooms and staff made sure our two rooms were connected. It was great!”

• The free shuttle to and from the hotel was convenient.
• There is only one bus that travels to and from downtown which takes almost 50 minute.

“The hotel is too far from downtown to really be enjoyed. Just factory roof tops and parking lots. The best thing to do is rent a car at the airport and don't rely on the bus system in the area. Which is unreliable most times and can get pretty expensive if you do not pay a day or week pass?”

• Very few restaurants close and restaurant closed in evening.

“The only thing that could be improved on is offering late meals for travelers as there are no restaurants within walking distance other than a Mac Donalds.”

“I would not stay there again. The rooms had a bad smell and the carpets were very dirty. The dirt was on the bottom of my feet and the food was not what one would want for fine dining. I was very disappointed in the room.”

“I waited one and a half hours for the transportation from the airport despite repeated statements on the phone that the shuttle was on the way. The shuttle was 25 minutes late returning to the airport. That, alone, discounted anything good I might say about the hotel.”

• Poor quality of food with the complimentary breakfast, van took way too long for pick up and to get to hotel.

• could hear aircraft taking off, very poor soundproofing.

“The hotel looks ok, the outside is dated and the inside is nicer. The continental breakfast offered in the morning is better than many other hotels. The rooms look attractive enough, the major problem is that you can hear (loudly) planes taking of at midnight from SFO. There should be more soundproofing in the rooms.”

“I would never stay here again. Staff was unresponsive to my needs. First room had no heat, second and third rooms had no working internet connection. Restaurant staff was rude. Nighttime reception staff was unfriendly. Only nice employees were the morning reception staff. It was a thoroughly unsatisfactory stay.”

“This hotel was a great value and if it wasn't for the average comfort bed and the lack of baggage assistance I would rate this a 3 star hotel. The free parking and full buffet breakfast made this an exceptional deal. It had easy access to freeways and airport and not far from san Francisco. I'd stay here again.”

• Pay per view movie previews ended being a billed movie on your bill

“You look at a pay per view movie previews and before you know it they are charging the full feature to your room. Other than the pay per view movie the hotel was great.”

• Bed sheets were wrinkled. Not enough covers because heat did not work.

“The hotel is near the SFO airport which is nice. It looks nice but the sheets on the bed were wrinkled which makes me think they aren't clean. I liked the coffee in room. The a/c and heater are the old fashioned kind which blows into the room. It didn't work so I was freezing.”

“The first room we had was tiny and had an "unclean" feel about it. The mattress was not comfortable. The second room was better. My only complaint is that the airport shuttle was late, so we were sitting in the restaurant waiting because it was a cold, rainy morning. When it did arrive, we got up from the restaurant to go out to it and it was already gone.”

• Noisy. Connecting rooms. Internet only in certain areas.

“The room was clean, but the connecting room doors are incredibly thin. Noise levels were unacceptable between rooms. Needed to switch rooms after complaining to staff. Internet is wireless, but not available in all rooms. No effort made to let you know that upfront. Families would stay there only due to cost. Neighborhood is not child friendly.”

• Renovated rooms were nice, free deluxe breakfast was great, airport shuttle service is convenient.
• Bad attitude with front desk people. May get old rooms that were not renovated unless you ask otherwise.

“Best Western Grosvenor has convenient access to the airport with 20-30 minute shuttles. A nice full spread breakfast is complimentary. Newly upgraded rooms are on par with most 3 star hotel. I received an older (although clean), very small, down-market quality room with dark carpeting, thin bed sheets, and worn-out bathroom. I thought it was the standard for the hotel until I saw some of the renovated rooms while housekeeping was cleaning. So I asked to move to a new room!”

• The beds were comfortable and the stay included a complimentary hot breakfast that was delicious.
• There was some airport noise, but not enough to disturb my sleep.

“The hotel was clean, had a free breakfast and free parking, and all staff I dealt with was friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return to this property.”

• They have free breakfast in the morning, that is a nice plus.
• The day front desk staff didn't seem very helpful but the night front desk staff was very helpful.

“This hotel was clean but not very glamorous. It was a place to sleep and take a shower. I would stay there again. It has van service to the airport and that was the most important to me.”

• Great location; free parking; quick, friendly service; and great continental breakfast.
• The pool was in a strange location and didn't have a hot tub!

“This hotel was a very nice stay. The location was great, and parking was free and plentiful. The hotel and room were clean and nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the pool area didn't exactly scream come swim and I would have liked a hot tub. But this was more than made up for by the cleanliness, service, and extensive continental breakfast.”

“Breakfast food was good. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was located 5 minutes from san fran airport. Surrounding neighbor hood was clean and nice. Restaurants were near by. Many areas of northern California are very accessible in a short drive from the hotel. parking was free.”
