  • Extremely clean, friendly staff and modern dcor.
  • Room service food awful.

“I would highly recommend this hotel for the ambiance and friendly staff. The children had an indoor and outdoor pool in which to play as well as a hot tub for adults all very clean I would not recommend the food, the price is right but the quality is missing.”

“Upon arrival, our bathroom had not been cleaned. There were towels on the floor, the trash had not been taken out and the room smelled of an ashtray. We were promptly moved to another room where my husband had to kill a 3 inch long cockroach our second night. I had asked for extra coffee and towels, we received neither. The parking lot was filled with 'undesirables' and there was a huge sign stating the hotel was not responsible for your vehicle. We will never stay here again.”

“Dirt was all over everything, we had to have our room changed after seeing live roach in bathroom, hair on floor, water stains all over walls. My wife and I could hardly get any sleep after seeing live roaches. Hotel was a waste of money and disgusting. We would never stay there again or recommend it. ”

  • Hotel is currently undergoing renovation.

“Our rooms were convenient and we had two side by side. The pools were very nice and available, and we had them to ourselves. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a convenient location to the things we needed. It is in need of the renovation that it is currently undergoing, but was fine for our purposes. ”

  • Under renovation - will be better but still "construction zone" right now.

  • Free wi-fi...that is it.
  • Old and definitely not a 3-star, 1 at most.

“Hotel location was OK, close to interstate. Free wi-fi was nice. But hotel was my worst experience with a 3-star (and any star level) that I have ever had. Rooms were dated, circa 1980, grout in bathroom was blank (not the way it was made though), disgustingly dirty in bathroom corners, carpet stained and worn, ceiling water stained and falling down, beds were horribly uncomfortable. I can go on and on. Would not recommend this to anyone, even as a 1-star. Double Tree has bought this location and is renovating. But not started and not complete until end of year.”

  • The morning counter staff were great and helpful.
  • No night service staff, that should be unacceptable for a 3 star hotel.

“I enjoyed my stay. The Saturday morning desk staff were helpful, pleasant and friendly. The room was very comfortable. There was no service staff in the late evening and therefore, when I needed to change rooms I had to come downstairs again to get a key. Another guest had to come down stairs and get her own linens and remake the bed herself when her nephews spilled a drink on the bed. The clerk behind the desk was very helpful, however. The hotel itself still needed some upgrading with carpet and a few other areas. Overall though I enjoyed it.”

  • Very nice lobby, future remodel looks like it will be nice.
  • Rooms were not 3 stars, decor was 70's-80's.

“I would probably rate it a 2 1/2 stars. The feel was an older Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn. Looks like a little money and attention could really bring this hotel into the 21st century.”

  • I am now home.
  • Awful.

“THIS HOTEL IS NOT A THREE STAR! The hotel is falling apart. Neither the A/C nor the shower/bath worked properly. The walls are literally falling down in some areas. We had the 'DO NOT DISTURB' tag on our door and the maid still woke us wanting to get in to service the room. The two elevators we used didn't work properly. We were stranded for a time.”

  • The room was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Good selection of TV Channels, and the wireless Internet (w/ the hotel provided bridge) was fast.
  • The air conditioner was not on in the hallways and lobby area on the guest floor. It was warm carrying my luggage while waiting for the elevator.

“This hotel was a Sheraton in its former life. The bathroom showed it age, with a little rust and cracking near the sink, but overall, I was pleased with my stay. It was a very comfortable hotel for business travel. From a display in the lobby, there is a plan to fully renovate this property. A large selection of restaurants and a Target were very convenient from this hotel.”

  • They are beginning renovations on June 1st - and the rooms are badly in need of the work!

“The hotel looks great when you walk in the front door. But the two rooms that I walked into had troubles - light switches that didn't work, exhaust fans that rattled horribly, missing security door locks, faulty air conditioner.”

  • Older hotel in need of some remodeling.

“I called the hotel ahead of time to request a nonsmoking king room because of horrible allergies. When we arrived they told us they had given our room away and all they had left was smoking rooms. After some discussion about health issues they were able to find us a nonsmoking room on a smoking floor. They were very helpful finding us a room, however, we should have never had to go through that because of the previous confirmation on rooms.”

  • The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very romantic. live music is in, and was very good.
  • The rooms, decorations was not the best, and carpet was burned.

“I am excited to know, that the Hotel will be given and upgrade to the Doubletree. The only things that can cause this A rated hotel to be an B, once the change is made. And that if the rooms don't get upgraded, everything else, the food, the service, the people are Top Flight! Great! Thank you for a wonderful time.”

  • The lobby, pool, restaurant are very nice.
  • The rooms are desperately in need of maintenance. Ceilings are moldy, cracked and in some parts even falling down!

“I know the hotel is going to begin a major renovation in May of this year. It is clearly needed! I'm guessing after the renovation, it will be very nice!”

  • It is close to restaurants and shopping centers.
  • It is very old and not well maintained. Beds are cheap and uncomfortable.

“This hotel is an old Sheraton that has not been properly maintained. Furniture are cheap quality. If you stay in a double bedroom, expect your bed to sink in when you lay down. I stayed on 5th floor, it took about 3 minutes of running the water before I can get a hot water. Do not select 3 star hotel for Augusta West; otherwise, If you want a clean hotel, I would recommend, Marriott Courtyards or Wingate, when staying at Augusta, GA.”

  • Infrastructural maintenance appears to be a problem.

“I liked the overall appearance of the hotel, the front desk staff was excellent, but the room had several problem that had obviously been ignored for quite a while. The toilet ran intermittently, the sink dripped constantly and the were several outlets that weren't working (notably at the part of the room where you'd need electricity the most - at the work table).”

  • I really liked that the hotel had a Jacuzzi and indoor pool for children as well as an eat-in restaurant.
  • I did not like that the water was not hot in the showers.

  • Generally run-down, not a clean appearance, and the beds were the worst ever!

“If location is your only concern and you are just stopping over on your way to somewhere else, then this property will suit your basic needs. If you are concerned with the quality of the facility with respect to cleanliness and comfort, then keep on driving! The mattresses are awful and whatever you do stay out of the pool and hot tub!”

“I was in Augusta with my wife to visit family and stayed at the Augusta Towers Hotel. The room was very clean and the housekeeping service was very good. We encountered friendly staff at the front desk who were very accommodating We also experienced one of the best dinners in my life. The Seafood buffet was incredible! A must try! Our waitress was very polite and knowledgeable and the food was excellent. ”

  • It was very quiet and the neighborhood seemed very safe.
  • I saw one dead roach caught in a cob web in the bathroom and the bathrooms could use a little renovation but overall it was alright.

“Hotel was very nice. Staff was very courteous. At the time the hotel was pretty empty but everything went nicely. Pool and hot tub were very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The price was good and hotel was nice.”

  • Excellent location and the hotel lobby and restaurant were very nice.
  • Our room had a number of problems. Mold on the bathroom ceiling, holes in the walls, wallpaper peeling.

“The hotel is very centrally located and is very accessible to the expressways. The hotel lobby, pool, bar and restaurant are very attractive and the service was very good. The rooms are in need of renovation, especially the bathrooms that show the affect of not having good ventilation to remove moisture.”
