“There air conditioner was pre- programmed to never go below 74 degrees. Had to go buy a fan. It was so hot in the room. Other wise it was below the standard room I enjoy staying in but it was the only thing I could find for the location. It was fine for what I paid. Did not feel ripped off. We attended my 19 yr old daughter's college orientation, so the location was a key factor.” Jun 10, 2007 by

“This is the only hotel I stay at when I go to Athens. The parking is a little difficult, but much better than a garage, IMO. Close to downtown/campus. Wonderful staff and breakfast in the mornings. I have never had any problems here in my 10 plus stays. I would highly recommend this hotel.” May 27, 2007 by
Bobby from Chattanooga, TN
“Great location if you are looking for something close to guar and downtown Athens. Continental breakfast in the morning was pretty good and the hotel staff was friendly.” May 20, 2007 by
Mindy from Thomasville, GA
“I believe that we stayed in the motel is for UGA students! The vending machines had nothing in them. The coffee "pot" in the room had no pot and no coffee (it did have the machine and napkin and stirrers). The floors were gross. The bathroom floor had hair on it. This motel was the worst one I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot of motels.” Apr 25, 2007 by
Pat from Phenix City, AL
“For an economy hotel it was fine. It was comfortable and clean and the staff was accommodating. Good location and reasonably priced.” Apr 8, 2007 by
Don from Orangeville, ON CA
“Okay, a good experience.” Mar 15, 2007 by
Tamara from West Des Moines, IA
“Clean, friendly, convenient.” Jan 16, 2007 by
Miichael from Peachtree City, GA
“This is not a motel I would recommend to a friend. Although the rooms were fairly clean, they were in major need of upgrading. The breakfast area is much too small to accommodate guests, perhaps setting for 16-20 and motel staff occupied 5 of the chairs with no deference to motel guests. ” Jan 9, 2007 by
Kris from Fort Wayne, IN
“A little expensive for an economy hotel. However, rooms clean (I even noticed them washing the comforters - which is rare in a hotel!), staff friendly and they provide a nice continental breakfast in am. Perfect for students, or the occasional business travel who is not looking for luxury.” Jan 4, 2007 by
Rhonda from Mount Pleasant, SC
“Great location in Athens. The noisy part was from people across the parking lot at the hotel. It was new years eve but I did finally call the front desk at 3 am to complain.” Dec 27, 2006 by
Marie from Cartersville, GA
“Hotel was fine. The hotel was good for the price.” Aug 31, 2006 by
Brenda from Chester, VA
“Small hotel with steep decline from lobby to motel area. Small rooms, cramped feeling. Room was average; however could have been cleanlier Blood was found on blanket, floor and chair. Yuck!” Aug 1, 2006 by
Michelle from Lakeland, GA
“Very clean, nice staff, convenient location.” Mar 23, 2006 by
Joyce from Fairfield, CT
“The location is great but that would be the end of great here. The room was cramped, linens tired, bed hard, data port is located between the beds, nowhere near the desk. Their WI-FI never reached above weak so it was useless. I would never return to this Best Western.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 7, 2006 by

“Good place to stay if going to downtown events.” Mar 1, 2006 by
Wesley from Birmingham, AL
“My room had 2 beds, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, and wireless internet access at no additional charge. It was probably the nicest room. The motel is near downtown Athens, and the parking lot was not as cramped as the lots of other nearby motels. The motel had exterior corridors, so it was not as quiet at night as I might have liked.” Feb 22, 2006 by
David from Charlotte, NC
“Nice hotel. Clean, but nothing fancy. Continental breakfast area was way too small.” Feb 15, 2006 by
Murray from Charlotte, NC
“This hotel is well suited to business, and also popular with UGA students and alumni. Comfortable rooms, very clean. The heat pumps cut off when you leave the room (how do they know?), so you come back to a cool or warm room, depending on outside temperature. Overall, though, good value for the money.” Jan 18, 2006 by
P.B. from Winter Park, FL
“Location is close to university of GA.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 20, 2005 by

“I loved the location of this hotel. We were right in the middle of the University of Georgia and very close to shopping strips. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were small but very clean. For the price I paid, I was very happy!” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 18, 2005 by

“the location to uga was great, the breakfast was okay but the guests were very noisy and the parking was limited.” Jun 12, 2005 by
Aleksandra from Snellville, GA
“The rooms were clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast was fulfilling. It was a good value for the price. It was a bit loud at night and very busy though.” May 21, 2005 by
Danielle from Pensacola, FL
“A very nice, friendly place to stay. I will be staying there on my next trip to Athens!” Dec 8, 2004 by
Elise M. from Atlanta “Service at desk was very good, both check in and check out. Hotel was clean and everything was in good working order.” Dec 6, 2004 by
Jeremy H. from Jacksonville “The staff and accomodations were very pleasant. The room was very clean and the continental breakfast had many options to choose from. Location with respect to UGA was perfect. Highly recommended!!!” Sep 24, 2004 by
Paul H. from Springfield “This hotel offers clean rooms with a small microwave and a small refrigerator. They also had a decent breakfast with cereal, rolls, fruit, etc. This is one hotel that will not change room preferences. We tried to get a king size bed and they would not provide it - even though rooms were available. Over all, I would rate them a 9 out of 10.” Sep 12, 2004 by
Matthew B. from Memphis “I have stayed at this hotel many times and am always impressed with the level of service. This is not the newest hotel in town, but you can tell that they strive to keep in clean and provide quality service. The hotel is almost always full, that says a lot!” Hotel Representatives:
