• Road access, getting into and out of the hotel was difficult.

• Location, cleanliness, helpful staff, value.
• Should include continental breakfast like its sister Holiday Inn Express.

“Hotel is conveniently located near Downtown and the U of Ga. Rooms is clean, well-appointed and represents a good value. Noise may be a problem as the hotel hosts U of Ga. orientations. Staff very helpful and courteous. Should offer a free continental breakfast like the Holiday Inn Express down the road.”

• It was not as clean as I expected it to be there were little bugs in the bathroom and toilet seat was dirty.

• Location in reference to our event was excellent, convenient to eateries.
• Our room opened out to parking area, loud car and foot traffic.

• I loved that they had a pillow menu to choose from!
• They didn't provide a continental breakfast. If you wanted breakfast, you had to buy it.

“The room was neat and clean, it was nice to have a full length mirror on the closet. I really enjoyed the pool and the beds were quite comfortable.”

• It was very close to my daughter's resident hall.
• Roaches in the room and unclean bath towels.

“The beds/pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom had a leak in the shower (GA in severe drought), some towels/washcloths were unusable, and roaches were crawling on walls.”

• Great location Friendly staff.
• Beds not very comfortable.

“Perfect location for a football game at UGA. Walking distance to stadium, and they let you tailgate in the parking lot! Super friendly staff and very helpful with parking, etc. They even let us park our car there before the check in time so we didn't have to pay $20 to park in a public parking area. Very, very nice people!”

• Temp. Regulation, moisture in the air, not enough parking.

“The location was fantastic and the rooms were great for the price. Small, but clean. There was insufficient parking available and we had to park across the street on one occasion. The room was rather damp; there was no fan in the bathroom. It would have been perfect with a de-humidifier.”

• It was in a good location.
• It was extremely dated. The tile in bathroom was worn, therefore dirty. The sink would not drain and the toilet leaked.

“Hotel was dated. Staff was friendly, but at check in, tried to charge me for the room. The staff seemed to need some training. There were also some maintenance issues.”

• Nothing. It was perfect for my needs.

• Excellent downtown location and proximity to UGA.
• Front desk staff treated us like second-class citizens.

“Bed in the motel section not as comfortable as the one we slept in the hotel section.”

• Front desk staff unwilling to put us in empty non-smoking king bed room.

“Excellent location in downtown Athens and adjacent to UGA. Even the older "motel" room section has been refurbished to provide a comfortable stay.”

• Air conditioner was not working (did not really need it).

• The hotel looks better inside than out. It was wonderfully close to everything!
• The outside looks old and dated.

“This was really pleasant. I had driven past this hotel several times and thought that it would be moldy, old, and outdated because it looks that way from the road. This was not the case in the room, though. Everything was clean, neat, and pretty great for a hotel of this caliber. We will stay here again if we can get this price again.”

“This hotel was perfect. I asked for a hotel located near the University of Georgia campus. I could walk out my door and around the corner and I was on the university grounds. It was in the heart of Athens & within walking distance to Starbucks (a huge plus in my book).”
