• Great location, adequate accommodation for star level.

“The location of this hotel is perfect and the price is very reasonable for the location and time of travel. Continental breakfast is adequate and check in service was friendly and accommodating.”

• Clean, availability, free wine was nice.
• No iron, suitcase stand in room, and restrooms smelled bad.

“Overall nice hotel. The rooms are perfect for a leisure in and out one night stay in San Francisco. I would not recommend the hotel for business travel as there was no iron and I didn't see a business center for online and printing.”

• Location was great and it was quiet. The wine service was good.
• The breakfast was less below average.

“This hotel is perfectly placed for seeing the city. Every evening the hotel had a wine tasting which was very pleasant. The staff was incredibly helpful. The shower was very small and there was a slight mildew smell that eventually disappeared with the windows open.”

• The staff was pleasant, other than that nothing.
• Noisy, run-down, very dirty, past guests hair was everywhere, expensive parking.

“Check-in/front desk staff were very helpful and super nice. Unfortunately our room and the room of our friends who also stayed here had lots of hair from various last guests, especially on the bed which had sheets that were obviously not washed prior to our use of the room (hair, make-up traces, toenail clippings etc. were glaring giveaways). I can handle the dust, odd odor, tiny rooms and even the slightly mildew showers and bathrooms- but please- just wash the bedding after one set of guests leave! We could hear all the sounds of the street even from our interior room plus many sounds from other guests rooms. Parking was an additional $30 a day at the nearby garage which is normal for the area, continental breakfast had good coffee if nothing else.”

• The wine hour, but they never actually served it!
• It was small and overpriced, old and was poorly redone.

“I did not appreciate the fact the hotel required us to pay an extra amount. The bed in the room was not even a queen size bed, so I am not sure how they thought two adults were going to sleep comfortably in a tiny little bed. I was angry that I had to pay an additional $.”

• Quirky - more interesting than a standard hotel chain.
• Some of the staff was friendly, some were not.

“This hotel was great for a more interesting experience of San Francisco. The bathroom in my room did not have a sink, but there was a sink in a shuttered closet in the bedroom. The lobby area was lovely.”

• The bathroom was disgusting, which made me question all the cleanliness.

• There was a refrigerator in the room.
• The hotel only had one elevator.

“The hotel was on a steep hill. Which I found inconvenient. As I said earlier it only had one elevator which was also inconvenient. The air conditioner, even at full blast barely kept the room cool.”

• Friendly staff. Fresh baked continental breakfast. Attractive lobby.
• Biggest complaint is that it is way too loud. It sits on a really busy street.

“We almost didn't stay at the hotel because the rooms were so loud, even on the 7th floor. The hotel looks nice at first glance, but upon closer inspection you'll see that it's a bit run down. Bath fixtures are cheap. Paint was peeling all around the cabinets. The room furnishings were very attractive, however.”

• Great location and cute boutique hotel!
• Room was on 2nd floor above the garbage for the restaurant.

“Located near Nob Hill, this hotel has a convenient location only blocks from BART and Union Square. Cozy little breakfast/lobby area to get your day started right as well as a wine tasting each night.”

• Friendly staff and excellent location.
• Tiny room; minimal breakfast.

“Vintage Court Hotel is a boutique hotel located on Bush Street. It is very convenient to restaurants, Union Square, and shopping and is only five blocks from BART. The hotel staff is very helpful, and the hotel itself is clean and nicely furnished with dark woods and fabrics.”

• No way a boutique.

“Friendly staff, very accommodating to what they could offer. Noisy street so with the old style air conditioner just shoved in the window it was very hard to block out sound. Very nice 37" flat screen TV although I was not really there to watch TV.”

• Location, free room safe, clean accomodations.
• Lack of exercise facilities.

“Clean, comfortable accommodations with an old world charm. Hotel is a short walk from Union Square, so there are plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. Also, a very short walk to Chinatown.”

• Excellent location in the heart of San Francisco with a wine-country angle.
• A bit worn around the edges, rooms can be very noisy and cramped.

“This hotel, located at intersection of Bush and Powell is a short hike up the hill from the BART station. Above a true boutique-y lobby, you'll find small, somewhat dated rooms. Flat screen TVs match up with generations - old bath fixtures and hissing steam heat. A major complaint is that the noise from the surrounding city easily invades the rooms, rendering your night's sleep difficult if not impossible.”

Great location a block and a half from Powell Street cable car, two blocks from Chinatown, walking distance to North Beach and Union Square and Market Street and lots of marvelous restaurants. Rooms are clean and well-appointed (though small) and full of light. Free wine tasting in evenings. As a small historic European-style hotel, it doesn't have things like fitness centers or hair salons, but comfortable beds and rooms, plus a staff that - if you need extra pillows will, bring them to your room in a minute and a half - mean that we'd definitely stay here again.”

“This hotel was disappointing from the beginning. The refrigerator was old, dingy, and poorly stocked. The bathroom was large, but the shower head was plastic and hand held. The front desk clerk acknowledged that we were not getting a good room, but said he couldn't change it. When we left he asked how it was. I said, very unimpressive. He agreed!”

“Stained comforters, noisy location, Luke warm showers, extremely small bathroom and not a good value. I actually got charged extra for getting a somewhat decent room. Many homeless people across the street near stairs. Wine tasting was nice. Continental breakfast very limited. ”

• Nothing.
• Dirty, smells like chlorox all day long.

“I would never stay in this hotel again, it is literally vintage, dirty, smelly and crowded. The bathroom was a struggle to get in and get out due to old door. I can not emphasize enough how old and dirty it was. This hotel is not a boutique, it's more like a cheap hotel.”

• The otel was convenient to Union Square area.
• The room had an odor of some sort. The bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly and new paint applied.
