“The bar/resturant next door was pretty cool, the rooms were clean and charming. Overall it was a good experience. Tons of shopping, but it's all stores that you can go to back at home, nothing unique. A Aug 11, 2009 by

“Staff was very friendly, but the room was much smaller than was expected. Although San Francisco is not a hot city, I was unprepared to sleep in a hotel without air conditioning. The room smelled moldy to me, which is pretty bad because I am hard of smelling. If you have even average sense of smell, you will find the odor offensive.” Aug 9, 2009 by
Catherine from Brwentwood,CA
“Great location, great room rate, nice lobby & friendly staff.” Jul 31, 2009 by
Brian from Houston,TX
“It's a great hotel. It's in a cool old building. The rooms are neat, but small. It's location is immediately off of market street and right next to a BART terminal, making it literally steps from your plane. The staff was very helpful. But if you want a hotel that provides you with activities inside the facility then this is not the place for you. If you are looking to see San Francisco, then you can't beat what you're getting for the price.” Jul 27, 2009 by
Sam from Greensboro,NC
“ 2 twin room was tiny. Not enough room for 2 people with luggage. Beds were reasonably comfortable, place was clean, and attentive staff. ” Apr 12, 2009 by
Rafael from Exeter,CA
“Beautiful and Clean. Staff very friendly, helpful and gave good tips of local attractions. Great for the entire family. Thank You!” Mar 3, 2009 by

“This hotel is very victorian on the outside and completely modern on the inside. So pleasantly surprised with the room.” Jan 22, 2009 by
josh from La Canada,CA
“Super value. Our room was very quiet. Think state room on a large ship. The room is big enough to swing a cat -- if it is manx. I will be happy to go back. Location. Nice TV on wall.” Jan 3, 2009 by
April from Aliso Viejo,CA
“I really enjoy my stay, the staff was very helpful. I stayed with my 15 year old daughter and we were all day walking around town, we were not much in the hotel. The room was very, very small, but cozy. However, it was great for us. Flat screen TV, radio, private bathroom, just perfect for the price and our needs.” Jan 2, 2009 by
John from Paris,France
“Clean, small but comfortable rooms, only problem was noise from street and local bars - ask for a room on upper floors or facing quiet street.” Sep 24, 2008 by
Jane
“I really enjoyed my stay at the Mosser Hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the petit breakfast was an extra perk, and you can't beat it for the convenience. Love the location - right off the Bart, near Union Square and shopping. I had loads of fun. The only down side was that the walls are a little thin. Don't expect privacy. Since I'm kind of quiet myself, it didn't worry me. But really nice hotel, nice facilities would recommend it and would stay there again!” Sep 19, 2008 by
Mike
“It was a nice place once upon a time but its time is over.” Aug 25, 2008 by
Myrna from Nevada City, CA
“Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is well located for getting around the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate, albeit small, but very functional for two of us. The extra $29/day for parking the car (and we didn't move it until we left) seems a bit high, but it is in downtown.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Amanda from Santa Rosa, CA
“I paid for parking. No cd player and iron. The room was tiny (enough for the 2 of us, we only stayed overnight) but very small. Outside noise (including traffic) was audible from our room on the 6th floor. I would recommend this hotel for its location, however, not for its creature comforts.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Feng from Granger, IN
“This hotel is good for only one person. anything more than one can not fit into the room, let alone we two adults and one child. There is not even place to add a rollaway bed, or simply sleep on the floor. No place to put your traveling bags. This is the first time I see such a tiny space.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Sara from Dublin, OH
“My stay at the hotel was nice. Perfect for those who do not plan on spending a lot of time in the room and looking to explore San Francisco.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Joe from Moss Landing, CA
“Very nice hotel. The greeting of the front desk employee was great also the whole staff and the hotel made the stay comfortable. I would recommend anyone friends or family to stay at this hotel.” Jun 10, 2008 by
Beth from Stockton, CA
“The hotel was worth the $. Extremely small, but cute and quaint as well. The shower/bathroom was fine, clean, and hotel staff helpful and friendly. Valet parking for $29 was the cheapest we could find, provided by hotel. Only problem, car returned with scuff and scratch marks, not sure if parking garage or other where and what happened.” Jun 7, 2008 by
Victoria from Tucson, AZ
“Staff was nice and helpful, very good location (if you can live with the usual downtown "street noise"). Coffee was good and overall, the hotel was really nice.” Jun 6, 2008 by
Malte from Milwaukee, WI
“Very nice hotel with nice rooms, but you have to care, that there are also rooms with only shared bathrooms. We had our own bathroom and so it was good. The room could have been a little bit bigger. The location is the best available for travelers, who want to see San Francisco. It isn't located directly at Union Square.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Adam from Louisville, KY
“If you are in town on leisure, or will otherwise not be spending much time in your hotel room, this property is perfect. The rooms are small (think European size), but the location is perfect. It is less than a 5-minute walk to the Powell/Market station, which is the biggest public transit stop in the city. The neighborhood gets a little seedy after dark, but we never felt unsafe as the streets are well-lit and well-traveled. The desk staff and concierges are very friendly and helpful.” May 31, 2008 by
Ariann from Orem, UT
“I thought it was a great stay for our purpose. It was pretty clean for my liking. There were a couple dust-bunnies in corners, but the bathroom was clean, and that's the most important to me. The room was fun and unique. The people were nice and helpful.” May 27, 2008 by
Jane from Silver Spring, MD
“The Mosser is a charming hotel in a great location for a great price. For a short stay, sharing a bathroom was not an issue. There was never a wait. The other guests were quiet and considerate. I would choose this hotel over the Marriott across the street anytime. Arriving at the hotel via BART was easy and economical.” May 17, 2008 by
Rusty from Scranton, KS
“Loved the hotel. Only complaint is the size of the room. Would recommend.” May 14, 2008 by
Noel from Fresno, CA
“So I don't get to SF very often and was excited to stay in a hotel in downtown. It took me 45 minutes to navigate the one way streets around the hotel. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. The room was the smallest room I've ever been in but it served it's purpose. I will definitely stay there again.” May 4, 2008 by
Tim from Fountain Valley, CA
“Thank you.” Apr 30, 2008 by
Chitose from Lacey, WA
“Great hotel for the location and price. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I will return to the Moser on my next trip to San Francisco.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Jason from Janesville, CA
“The Moser is a great place to stay. It's super close to the Merton, Moscone Center, Union Square, Market Street etc. Right off the highway too. It's easy to get to. The folks were nice there, the room was a quality. It was small though. Small as in, 2 people on a queen bed and that's it. It works perfect for a solo business traveler. I will stay there again if I go to the city. Organic Apples in the Lobby, along with Coffee, Tea and some muffins for a little morning snack.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Alex from Sun Prairie, WI
“Decent hotel in great location, very European feel, great staff.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Jay from Sylmar, CA
“I liked this place, the room had style and it was in the perfect location for me. The room was really small, but I only ever went there to sleep, shower or rest, so that was never an issue for me. There was very little natural lighting, but they have a lot of lighting available with lamps. People complain about having to pay parking for valet. Overall, liked my stay and would recommend it for anyone who isn't going to spend a lot of time in their room, it's cute and cheap!” Apr 10, 2008 by
George from Victoria, BC CA
“The Moser is an older, basic hotel that is been nicely re-decorated. The location, about halfway between Union Square and the SF-MOMA is hard to beat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Annabelle's, the hotel restaurant & bar, is a great place to have a meal or just hang out over a beer. I would definitely stay here again.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Toni from Davis, CA
“Great location walking distance to Union Square, the SF Shopping Center, Moscone, SF MOMA, Metreon. Rooms/main area are well appointed, but the rooms were tiny just enough room for the bed; no furniture except a chair/mounted TV/nightstand. Parking was expensive, and you have to valet. Self-park structures are nearby, though.” Feb 8, 2008 by
Jennifer from Rosemead, CA
“The hotel was great and all of the staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was welcoming and the decor modern. Our experience was amazing and we will be back.” Dec 20, 2007 by
Chris from Ottawa, ON CA
“Great location and perfect if you don't plan to spend much time in the room and don't need much space. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I'd stay there again if the above conditions apply.” Dec 19, 2007 by
Amber from Medford, OR
“The rooms are tiny but contain all that was needed for our stay. The staff was very helpful in telling us where a good place to eat was and where to find things.” Oct 17, 2007 by
Steven from Ridgewood, NY
“This hotel is great for urban travelers; people who really get out and stay out much of the day and evening. Its incredibly stylish and very European in decor. I was a little surprised by how small the room was. The descriptions didnt lead me to believe "boutique" until I got there. Overall it looks great. Its great for a city week end visit. Not for families or extended travels.” Oct 6, 2007 by
Pat from Mira Loma, CA
“I had a very enjoyable time. The bed was very comfortable. If I had to stay in the area again, I would go with the Mosser again.” Sep 12, 2007 by
Kevin from Ocean Shores, WA
“Excellent hotel located right in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The Mosser is also next to a major downtown shopping mall; home to several upscale stores and a movie theater. Mosser staff was very knowledgeable and provided good morning coffee. This is a great hotel. The room I stayed in had to be the smallest room Ive ever stayed in but mine at least came with a bathroom. 90% of my stay in San Francisco was outside my hotel room; so I didn't mind the small room one bit. If you're making a reservation, make sure you ask for a room with a bathroom. Otherwise, you have to use the shared bathrooms out in the hallway.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Kerry from Nevada City, CA
“If you are looking for a clean and reasonably priced hotel in the heart of the San Francisco tourist area, this is it! One half block from the Metreon, one block from the convention center, one half block from the Bart and Muni and a block and one half from the Cable Cars. The rooms are clean and stylish, but tend to be rather small. But we use the room to change clothes, shower and sleep, so in this case, size does not matter. Highly recommended!” Sep 5, 2007 by
Lisa from West Hills, CA
“I thought it was priced right for the location.” Aug 31, 2007 by
Anne from Lomira, WI
“The rooms are extremely tiny. Many of the rooms do not have a private bath and you must share bathrooms. They tried to give us two twin beds. Not a very romantic getaway. On a positive note, its location is fabulous!” Aug 29, 2007 by
Susan from Meadow Vista, CA
“It's a good location, nice staff, tiny but cute rooms. But the prices can add up, because everything costs extra.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Janice from San Diego, CA
“My husband and I were looking for a cheap getaway for our anniversary and we never expected to find one to San Francisco, but The Mosser was excellent! We had the shared bath which may be scary for some, but we never ran into others using them when we needed to so they were like our own. Would have liked a sink in the bath rooms, but I guess the sink in the rooms is to make up for that? The rooms are not huge, but they utilize the space well and are nicely decorated with quality linens, etc. We were quite comfortable for 7 nights. The hotel was clean and quiet for the most part, of course you're going to hear people in the halls occasionally, but the double-double panes on the windows really worked for keeping out street noise! If you're on vacation and want to sleep in past 8:00, just a warning housekeeping does come quite early if you forget to put out the privacy sign! The location was great! Just off Market on 4th. A very short walk to the Powell St. BART station and cable car turn around. There were at least 3 buses that stopped in front of the hotel and the F-Market street car stop is on the corner. So basically, you can get nearly anywhere in the city without a problem. We will definitely consider The Mosser if we return to San Francisco.” Aug 17, 2007 by
Brian from Charlotte, NC
“Great location, very friendly staff, but small rooms & small beds.” Jul 29, 2007 by
Steve from Butler, PA
“Great hotel, super location, very clean and updated, staff was excellent. I am just so impressed with the value I received for the rate I paid to stay. The room was perfect for me. I would highly recommend this hotel.” Jul 27, 2007 by
E from San Diego, CA
“Good location, friendly staff. My sister's family had a slightly larger room overlooking the street-- entertaining but noisy (good overall). My room was small, smelled like garbage, overlooked a filthy breezeway in back of the building. Hate to say the negative things - the staff was very nice.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Laura from Davis, CA
“Shiek and modern set in an antique building. Perfect for one night get away with your sweetie. Plenty to see and do all within walking distance. Make certain you ask for a room with your own bathroom in it! I hear the common bathrooms are narly. Overall, good experience.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Sandy from Sacramento, CA
“It was very cute and we would stay there again if we were in the city for a short stay. The rooms are very small so if we were staying longer we would go elsewhere.” Jul 17, 2007 by
James from Hanford, CA
“The hotel met all my expectations except parking. I drove my truck to Pier 39 because I was in a hurry and didn't want to deal with public transportation. Upon returning to the hotel there was no room to park my truck. I had to drive around the block many times until valet parking removed all the cars in front of the hotel. This was a waste of time and frustrating.”
