“Good hotel for the price. Good location. Not huge bells of whistles attached.” Nov 22, 2009 by
Michael from San Francisco,CA
“This is my favorite hotel in the Arden area. Staff is always very friendly and helpful and rooms are comfortable although many could be modernized. Although I did not have breakfast this morning, they have the best breakfast in the area and offer excellent value. Wait staff is always very efficient and friendly.” Oct 14, 2009 by
Abbe from Stockton,CA
“The hotel was okay. Nothing spectacular, by any means. The rooms were very motel like, really. The sleep number beds are very uncomfortable. The biggest problem I had was the first night we were there a jazz concert was being held on the hotel grounds. The issue I have is the parking fiasco that came with the concert. We were in town for a vending gig at Cal Expo and had to set up the night we came in, Friday night. We got our room keys and proceeded to go drop some stuff off in our room before we went to the festival grounds. Okay, there is no parking. After driving around for about 10 minutes we found a space on the complete opposite end of the hotel complex as our room. So about 45 minutes later we finally are ready to take off to set up our booth and we are functionally blocked in. We are stuck in the parking.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Yossi from Portland,OR
“Staff is friendly. Clean.” Aug 20, 2009 by
from Menifee,CA
“Very good hotel value. Good clean room. Pretty grounds.” Jun 20, 2009 by
Heather from Creswell,OR
“We stayed at the hotel on the first leg of our vacation w/a friend in a larger room w/a king bed & fold out sofa which was very comfortable & nice. However, on the way back we had a room w/2 double beds. The bedding was great, but we tried everything to adjust the bed so it was comfortable. It was almost like sleeping on an air mattress so as the air displaces when one person moves. The floors were very dirty which made the room very undesirable. Finally, there were 2 loose dogs on the premises that tried to attack my children. I realize this was beyond the hotel control, but the police should have been called being the dogs kept guests at bay in their rooms.” Jun 19, 2009 by
Renee from Huntsville,AL “Hotel room was clean & comfortable. Sleep number beds were nice and comfy. This is a nice place to stay.” May 24, 2009 by
Lisa from Grants Pass,OR
“I would never stay at the Radisson again. The rooms were dirty, beds were terrible, walls were so thin you could hear every word people in the next room were saying. The pool and spa were filthy and slimy, there were cigarette butts everywhere around the pool and spa facility, the food was terrible don't eat at their restaurant. Overall was bad experience. They are the only hotel who ever charged for a mini frig for medication. Over priced for the quality.” May 10, 2009 by
Philip from San Francisco,CA
“The hotel has a man-made lake which is not common and creates a very special place to be in. The swimming pool and hot tub are adjacent to it and make you feel the open space around you. The location is very convenient for travelers who have business to attend to in the downtown area.” May 6, 2009 by
Polly from Redding,CA
“We stayed at this hotel not really because of business but certainly not leisure. My husband was undergoing surgery at UC Davis Med Center and we are from out of town and needed a place to stay.” May 1, 2009 by
Leslie from Chester,CA
“Our room was a 300 yard outdoor walk from the main lobby. There was no information on any amenities, including dining, in our room. We might as well have been staying at a Motel 6. The room smelled damp and musty, the carpet and bedspreads did not look or feel clean.” Apr 30, 2009 by
Maria from Salinas,CA “The hotel was decent, used to be a great hotel, but needs updating.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Rob from Brush Prairie,WA
“This was a first stay and I am a frequent business traveler. Noisy, younger crowd were at the hotel complex. I will stay at another hotel in another area.” Apr 25, 2009 by
steve from turlock ca.
“Very old and don't like being far, far, away from the actual hotel, I would have found motel 6 more appealing. Dirty carpet, and it appeared like the old days, drive up and walk in your room far away from any other areas, I wont be back.” Apr 15, 2009 by
Diane from Anderson,CA
“Good price with Priceline. But the hotel is older and needs to be redone. Make-up pull out extended mirrors in bathroom and outside bathroom missing and just empty frame hanging on wall. Toilet paper holder across from toilet and a far reach. Pull down iron board frame broken and had to use a chair to prop the board up. Big gap above and below front door. Their site said they had a business center (one computer in lobby available). They have a pool but it is not heated so we didn't use. Walls and carpet dingy. I did like the sleep number bed. But room needs to have repairs needed. They are supposed to have checkout on TV but their system didn't work and had to stop in at front desk to leave.” Apr 3, 2009 by
Montgomery from Fairfield,CA
“This hotel has the latest sleep - perfect mattresses that you adjust for your individual comfort. The rooms have all the amenities that you need and excellent room service.” Mar 19, 2009 by
Martin from San Jose,CA “The Radisson label implied a more up-market place than the motel that this place actually is. Rows and rows of tired-looking single story motel rooms which were a long outside walk from the lobby. The room was adequate.” Mar 17, 2009 by
Bill from St George,UT
“It is spread over 19 acres, and the infrastructure was poor all around. Parking is close to the rooms, which means that you can hear every car door slam and every luggage cart go buy on the rough concrete surfaces in the exterior corridors.” Mar 13, 2009 by
Dylan from San Francisco,CA
“Made me wait for another Mar 5, 2009 by
Terri from Redding,CA
“This is an older hotel with some upgrades to the rooms. They have a Sleep Comfort bed with nice linens; however, the remote control was not working on one side of the bed. We were given an upgraded room with a water view and it had a lovely patio area. The bathroom looked very outdated but was clean. We would stay there again.” Mar 2, 2009 by
Larry from Benicia,CA
“The rooms were fine but bit dated. You drive up and park in front of your room.” Feb 24, 2009 by
Mark from Seatle,WA
“Very nice hotel. Stayed on a Friday night, was not full. Room and bathroom were very clean. Internet was not wireless but worked perfectly. Bed was comfortable. Train horns going off at all hours was not great but not loud enough to disturb or wake me.” Feb 11, 2009 by
Phil from Salinas,CA
“Okay option if need a base of operations in the area but not for single female because of security concerns.” Jan 19, 2009 by
Heather from Arlington,VA
“While the facilities were acceptable, it was not what I was expecting from a Radisson. The buildings were obviously old and they had a very military barracks feel to them. The rooms had a funny smell to them, as well. My tub had a very slow drain, leaving me standing in soapy water after each shower. I did have room service deliver a turkey club sandwich. The people there were outstanding, room service and cleaning folks were superb, and food was excellent.” Jan 18, 2009 by
debs from Fort Bragg,CA
“The previous reviews I read were that this motel was noisy. It is, in fact, a motel, not a hotel. It is older and while they have tried to upgrade with the times it is lacking. It was convenient for me as I was a business traveler who wanted to take a bike ride on the American River Parkway which is just down the street and REI was as well which helped but I would not recommend this motel to anyone who was not a business traveler who was not going to a conference at this facility. It is obviously geared towards conferences but was empty which speaks volumes to me. The staff was nice though.” Jan 1, 2009 by
Janice from Palo Alto,CA
“We have stayed here before and it is close to the freeway. Perfect for a one-night stay!” Dec 29, 2008 by
Ben from San Mateo,CA
“It was hard for us to sleep with all of the noise, there was a musty smell to the room, the bathroom had ants, the beds were too small.” Dec 19, 2008 by
Montgomery from Fairfield,CA
“Location is close to freeway access but room lacks wireless computer access. Mattress was very uncomfortable, needs to be replaced.” Oct 28, 2008 by

“Almost all rooms smelled like chemicals. Guest services were very nice, but could not do anything about the train.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Gaspar from So. Lake Tahoe, CA
“The hotel has nice grounds and the workers were nice, but was under staffed. Rooms need to be checked to see if they are completely clean.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Cindy from Marina, CA
“This is an older property that has been renovated. It has many one and two-story buildings that are very spread out. Has a nice lake in the center near the main building ask for a room by the lake. Room was comfy but had a musty smell on entering. Was okay for the one night we stayed glad we didn't pay more! Heard a train going nearby. Did not eat in restaurant.” Aug 3, 2008 by
Nicole from Clearlake, CA
“I really appreciated the friendly and speedy service of the hotel staff. The outside environment was also pleasing. When I go back to the Radisson I will definitely ask for a room by the pool as those seem to be more upscale. But all in all I had a pretty good experience here.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Susan from Klamath Falls, OR
“This hotel is maintained to a high standard and the staff obviously take pride in their work and value their patronage.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Valerie from Fremont, CA
“Had a very nice dinner, staff was very helpful and friendly, surroundings are very laid back and there was nothing wrong with the rooms other than they need to update the carpets. I would stay there again.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Leah from Appleton, WI
“This is an old hotel that has been re done, but not well. Modern bedding is nice, but other parts of the hotel are quite old - TV, bath, facilities.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Patricia from Fresno, CA
“Good location; regular size room; free internet access; very good mattress, new and clean sheets and towels; good breakfast buffet; we needed late check out and was granted.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Bob from Hesperia, CA
“Quaint room. The sleep number bed was not all that comfortable. Those 2 chambers as they call it has a very hard spot in the middle of the bed grinning the full length where the chambers come together. The air conditioner was horrible. I would set it on 65 and 2 hours later the room was 80 and the AC was off. It was 115 in Sacramento and every 2 hours I would wake up in a sweat and have to reset the AC. Great place in the winter I would guess.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Grace from Colfax, CA
“Most of the staff was great. On the morning of the second day, the front desk staff was rude and terse. The hotel is really in need of updating; but, nice for moderate lodging. It was not upscale.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Gia from Oakland, CA
“It was a decent hotel for the money. The location of our room was way in the back, so if I were alone I would not have felt safe.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Cat from Oakridge, OR
“This hotel is great for business travelers and conferences, but the rooms are small. The only dining choice is very expensive and there are no kid friendly options or late night snacking options. I also found ants in my room.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Tricia from Colorado Springs, CO
“For the price, I was extremely satisfied with our stay. We stayed in the older/renovated portion of the hotel, but the rooms were very nice and the beds were comfy. The maid service was amazing! I was able to walk around the main portion of the hotel and the grounds were beautifully laid out. We tried to upgrade to a room by the pool or lake, but unfortunately, they were full. Still, not a bad place to stay for the budget price for our room! Only negative is the budget rooms are isolated and a vagrant came up to us as we were getting out of our car begging for money. Kind of scary, but all in all a great place to stay.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Mike from Sacramento, CA
“This hotel is in a peaceful and classy atmosphere, the staff is courteous, and the room was clean. The architecture is unique and it signifies that this is more than just another "Holiday Inn" type place.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Oldrockstar from Gold River, CA
“Great place to romp.” Jun 8, 2008 by
Andrew from South Hackensack, NJ
“This is an old hotel which needs some updating. All rooms are on the ground and you can park right outside your room.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Betsy from Sacramento, CA
“This is a charming hotel in an odd location. The main rooms face onto a large pond/small lake. There are peddling boats for guests to use. The ducks and geese love to be fed. It was a wonderful treat to try out the sleep number bed but it takes longer than my stay to find the perfect number. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing bread to my granddaughter to feed the birds -- even calling them for her!” Jun 3, 2008 by
Stephen from Yorba Linda, CA
“We were in the Sacramento area for a Wedding and chose to stay at the Radisson Hotel because of location. I feel based on the service that I received at the hotel that the rating is to high. The rooms were nice and clean. The exterior of the hotel could use a remodel. The restaurant and bar were not open during regular hours. Also, room service was not available. There was no manager onsite to discuss these issues with as well. It is hard to leave a young child at the hotel with nanny when dinner or room service is not available for purchase. My nanny went hungry.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Suzy from Austin, TX
“The pros: spacious room, comfortable bed with clean sheets, friendly staff, pretty convenient location, decent toiletry items; nice grounds; free internet available, but not wireless The cons: dirty carpet; shabby bathroom with peeling wallpaper, etc.; pathetic water pressure - the weakest shower I've ever experienced; exceedingly thin walls allow you to hear conversations, alarm clocks, phones, etc. from neighboring rooms; free internet available, but not wireless.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Mary B. from North Huntingdon, PA
“This was our second stay at the Radisson. The room was unbeatable and it is centrally located to all of the areas we need to visit while in Sacramento. The staff is friendly and we never have any difficulties staying there. Will not be our last stay, I can assure you.” Jun 1, 2008 by
Dean from Lake Elsinore, CA
“I am fully aware that star levels account for the various amenities a facility offers, but 1-star economy facility given a name-brand touch does not a 3-star hotel make. The building housing the rooms was shabby, with the doors facing the parking lot - 3-stars? The housekeeping staff was loud and inconsiderate in the morning hours, and amazingly, a maintenance man was right outside my outside-facing door at 7:20 a.m. pounding on something with a sledgehammer. 3-stars? No - with a sledgehammer emphasis.” May 30, 2008 by
William from Sacramento, CA
“I thought this was a classier place.”
