• You could hear or smell everything outside because door wouldn't seal.

“3.5 miles from I-95, but next to express way. Narrow walk ways, main door would not seal, elevator noise, not hot water in shower, toilet would not flush.”

• Our first A/C was broken and they promptly got us into a new room at 1AM.
• The rooms facing the street get A lot of street noise at night; there might be a fire station nearby, lots of sirens.

“Everything was fine until I turned off the lights and roaches were taking over the night stand and that was not the worse part I woke up to a roach in bed with bed with me how disgusting well I guess its true what they say looks can be deceiving because the room looked to be very clean but not when the lights went off and on top of all that not one soda machine worked not one. I hope I never have to stay at this hotel never ever again!”

• The staff was making a strong effort to please.
• Front desk looked a little shabby.

“A large banner hung across the front of the hotel proclaiming "recently renovated", which appeared to be true. The staff worked hard, the room was clean and in good condition and everything worked. There were no problems. For me this hotel was a very good value for the money especially in this area which is quite expensive overall. I would return.”

• Staff was the one bright spot! He seemed to care for the customers.
• The rooms were not clean.

“The sign says newly renovated. The dressers are musty. The rooms were not clean. There is not a spa. Not what I have come to expect for a 2 star hotel. The one bright spot was an employee. He did everything he could to make the stay pleasurable. He just could not overcome the dirt! Given a choice I would not stay at this hotel again.”

• Location to the Florida turnpike.
• Was under renovation.

“No real problems other than the fact that I got locked out of my room due to the door malfunctioning. Security had to break in, allow me to get my things, and be moved to another room. Very inconvenient and made me late. The carpet in the room needs replacing many stains. But overall, not a bad hotel at all.”

“The staff ignorant, unfriendly and gave out bad information regarding breakfast serving times. The room air conditioner barely worked. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.”

• Rooms interior was new & very pleasing.
• There was no working shower!

“They have started remodeling this hotel in all the wrong ways, but are far from complete! Yes bedspreads were new, & they slapped a coat of paint. Road noise was crazy loud & I couldn't even use the shower, it just didn't work.”

• Shabby neighborhood.

“Neighboring property was abandoned and fenced. Security guard patrolled the parking lot. Hotel being renovated while we were there. Had to change room because air hammer made it impossible to talk. Light over vanity was out and not repaired in spite of our request. Manager did all she could to help. Breakfast bar was generous.”

• The continental breakfast is very nice. There was plenty of food and a variety of choices. They don't even mind if you take it "to go" or take a little extra with you. T.
• No one seems to want to take responsibility if you have a complaint. I.E. They forgot to clean our room twice and there was no one to complain to.

“I ordered a King, non smoking and got a double that reeked of smoke. They did change the room to a King non smoking immediately. The door on the room did not seal well at all and it was very moist and humid in the room. Everything including papers and clothing felt damp. They did allow us to change rooms and we were very satisfied with the second room, except for the fact that somehow they dropped us from the cleaning list and skipped cleaning our room 2 out of 12 days and there was no one to complain to. Everyone we spoke to said it wasn't their fault and they could not tell us who to report it to or guarantee that it would not happen again. ”

• Convenience to turnpike and restaurants.
• Did not feel safe in the area. Worried about my car.

“Room was clean. Staff was not overly friendly. The room we stayed in showed evidence that the door had been pried open at some time. I worried about the security of my car and my belongings when I wasn't in the room.”

• There were roaches in our room and guest hanging out side drinking and smoking.

“Overall I felt like I was in a motel. We had roaches in our room, the cleaning staff or front desk attendants weren't professional, and guest were hanging out smoking and drinking in the common areas. This did not meet my expectations of a quality liquate hotel.”

• Roaches and smell of death.

“It's hard to decide what was worse, the mildew smell of death or the roaches (and their friends) that covered the walls. One good point about this joint is that the bugs and the smells distracted me from being concerned about the creepy character that was walking back and forth on the grounds at 4 am. In summary, recommend this place to your in laws.”

• Friendly, reasonable, informative staff. Security was ample.
• Air conditioning non existent, see above. More positive than negative.

“I had stayed at la quanta¿s in the past and had pleasant experiences. However, although the staff was pleasant and the continental breakfast nice, the room was far less than adequate. The a.c. Was non existent and when we were offered another room it was too late to switch. Also, when calling to complain about the key not working (which was resolved), a roach jumped from the phone. Also, where there are roaches, there are most certainly ants. However, upon checkout when we pointed out our difficulties we were dealt with professionally and assured it wouldn't happen again. I¿ve been to many hotel/motel/suite and the most important factor is the customer service, which was excellent, if not a little to late to make the stay enjoyable.Overall, I¿m going to give them a second chance and would recommend it based on the courtesy of the staff and management. Lastly, they were packed as it was X-mass eve and I believe our room was among the last available.”

“This hotel is great for access to wester West Palm Beach, that is the newer shopping areas. They are always improving the property and the free continental breakfast is great.”

“This hotel is OK for very short stays for 1 or 2 people not for families. There is an eyesore across from it, an old abandons looking motel. The beds were uncomfortable.”

“My room was a non-smoking room. The last tenant smoked in the room. The staff offered to send an air cleaner to my room. It never arrived. Every sound from outside could be heard in my room. The morning desk staff was less than pleasant. ”

• Door to room did not close right, had to fight the door to secure it.

• I liked the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and the hotel itself.
• I was disappointed with the rooms. They were just a little too high.

“Would not recommend in that one couldn't swim in the pool because of debris. Coke machine out. Continental breakfast stunk and room after an hour wait for inspection had you know what on the picture glass and on the walls disgusting!”

“I had reserved a king room. I got 2 doubles, and the room was handicapped, right next to the ice machine AND the elevator. The room was not cleaned well, as I found several long black hairs in my bathroom, and I dont have long black hair. My room smelled like a nursing home, and the shower was too short and the tub too narrow. ”

• It was located very close to the friends we were visiting.
• There was much construction going on and much more renovation needed. (The elevator in particular)

“When renovations are complete the hotel should be very nice. Right now it is operating at less than 50% capacity. The elevator was literally falling apart. They were working on all the rooms around us. (hammering) Lots of available parking.”

• The hotel is under construction at the current time.

“Although the staff of the hotel were very friendly, the hotel is under significant construction and is therefore dusty and unkempt looking. Additionally, the heater in the room was not working and had to be replaced and it took approx 15 minutes before there was any hot water in the bathroom for a shower. Overall, my experience in this hotel was not a positive one.”

“Overall, the hotel met our expectations. It is a budget hotel with a friendly staff. The ongoing construction is a bit of an eyesore, but is understandable due to the hurricane damage the hotel received recently. The location is good, only about a 5 mile drive to the beach and downtown West Palm.”
