• Complimentary shuttle.
• Parking was expensive and no deck parking.

• Our room overlooked the function hall, lights were on all night.
• The noise coming from a function below our window.

• The personel was excellent and helpful when a serious noise problem occured.
• Our room faced the open public space where a Wedding reception and band played.

“The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, nice towels, pillows etc. All employees polite, good humor. The flaw is many rooms face the open noisy public space.”

• Closeness to historic downtown Annapolis and restaurants.
• Kids are allowed. They should have separate hotels for kids only.

“Customer service was excellent! Best I've seen in a long time. Took me back 20 years to a time when hotels actually cared about their guests! I thought those times were gone! Very clean - from the lobby to the elevators to the restaurants to the rooms! We will definitely be returning to this hotel next time we visit Annapolis!”

• The location and the free shuttle were the best amenities.
• They allow dogs - the one next door barked all evening and all morning when the owners left it alone.

“The overall hotel was great as was the location. We used the free shuttle often. We were originally next to a room with a small dog that was left alone often and it barked constantly. We called at 7 a.m. to ask that something be done and we had to call again at 8 a.m. when the dog still hadn't stopped barking. They had us move rooms at around 9 a.m. and the rest of the trip was perfect!”

“The hotel was great. It was very clean and well maintained. The bed was fantastic and my back did not hurt in the morning. Downtown Annapolis was a short stroll away. I will definitely stay there again.”

“The Loews Hotel of Annapolis has quickly become a favorite getaway for my wife and me. We have a son at the Naval Academy and the hotel is within walking distance of the campus and other downtown attractions. The staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful each time we have stayed there.”

• The staff were outstanding.
• There is a charge for non-valet parking.

“This a wonderful place to stay in Annapolis and is well within walking distance to most sites. The rooms are well appointed and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Some of the hallways and doors needed a bit of attention from acquaintances but otherwise it was fabulous.”

• Parking. Valet only no self parking for overnight guests.

• Wasn't particularly pleased with the hotel.
• Pay for internet access -usually free in hotels.

“Seems that I had to pay for every additional service/feature I wanted. Paid $9.00 day for internet access as an example. Would not extend my checkout time an hour. Room along the main hallway and noisy, especially from meeting rooms downstairs. Wife left ear rings in soap dish. Called and cleaning lady said she didn't find them.”

• I did not like not having any windows to the outside.

• Staff and service were excellent; bed was extremely comfortable.
• Our room was on an interior atrium, and the window did not open; a problem when the AC quit working.

“This is a four-star hotel with an excellent staff and service orientation. It is in the heart of the Annapolis historic district and pet-friendly (a need for the boating locale). I am recommending it to all my friends and family.”

• Made us feel very welcome, like we were guests and not an imposition. Very rare in today's world.
• There were a few areas in our room that missed being cleaned (back of bathroom door, wall by garbage can).

“We took our son to St. John's College to start his freshman year. Within walking distance to the campus, capital, and shops on Main St. Within 3 miles of a shopping mall. Spacious, airy lobby and rooms. Lots of business people, but they catered to everyone. Pets are very welcome and receive a treat and bowl when you check in. Kids get a treat bag too and they can chose from a selection of video games and portable systems to use during their stay. Would definitely stay again.”

• Walking distance to downtown and the Harbor.
• Rooms look a little average compared to the elaborate lobby - except the bathrooms, which are nice.

“Great hotel. Great location. The rooms themselves aren't that fancy (at least not the one I stayed in) but the hotel itself, i.e. the lobby and reception area was really nice. I didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant or bar or pool or gym, but I did have a great time in Downtown Annapolis.”

• Great downtown. Annapolis location within walking distance of many of the city attractions.

“Great hotel in downtown Annapolis. Very nice room with great towels and robes. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Nice work out area with treadmills & weights. No pool. Downside- typically city hotel that tries to add charges for everything extra. Charge for local calls, daily internet, parking, etc. Short walk to Main Street, Harbor, and 10-minute walk to the United States Naval Academy. Bummer-no golf channel!”

• Real plants in room, free lemonade and cookies in lobby, apples at front desk.
• Pillows were very firm and tall, bring your own.

“It was more than we expected. The staff went out of their way to be at our becon call. They made dinner reservations for us, and hand wrote a thank you card for staying there. Bathroom was large and clean. Blue drinking glasses, q-tips and cotton balls, nice soap in bathroom. Great location from town. No pool, pet friendly, very spacious. Real plants in room were amazing.”

• Overall comfort, turn down service and a robe. Priceless.
• Had to pay for use of a computer to print boarding pass. Come on!

“It is one of the best in Annapolis and I have stayed at them all. Like I said above in 2007 in a 4 star hotel I had to use a pay computer to print a boarding pass. The day's inn has free internet! Also $18 dollars to park my car. But I would stay again for sure.”

• Was not informed of the $18.00 nightly parking charge. This should have been included.

• I got an excellent room.
• The view on the one side wasn't fantastic, but the pretty curtains covered it well.

• We forget that the nicer hotels always tag on extras like valet parking etc. That raises the price considerably.

• Beautiful accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, lovely, leisurely ambiance.
• The valet parking was very slow on Saturday due to a very large crowd on Friday night. After 1/2 hour I had to demand that someone find my car.

“This upscale and very "pet-friendly" hotel has everything for the leisure traveler, including and attentive and friendly staff. The convenient location makes it a snap to get around Annapolis. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.”

“Mere blocks from the waterfront. A very classy place. The staff practically fell over themselves to help us in any way possible. Great, free door-to-door shuttle service. We valet parked upon arrival and didn¿t get back in our car until our departure. We'd stay there again and again; in fact, we're already planning our return stay.”

“The hotel is great. Very clean, very updated, very accommodating staff. The only problem we encountered is our room temperature was too hot and could not be cooled. It was uncomfortable to sleep.”

• Great location for historic Annapolis, nice, amenities offered.
• Hotel housekeeping and maintenance did not respect "Do Not Disturb".

“Nice clean hotel, great location for touring historic Annapolis. Requested an upgrade for view before arriving and extended stay, but got a poor room assignment. Hotel staff was friendly. Disappointed. I'll try another hotel next time.”

• Appointments in the room were of good quality.
• Only valet parking available; we would go and come frequently.

“Annapolis is a walking town, and Lowest Annapolis is convenient to the places we wanted to visit. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bath roomy with excellent appointments. The staff was there with a smile and service as a priority.”

“Our favorite place to stay in Annapolis. Lovely hotel, great location for walking downtown. Staff helpful and friendly. Beds & linens are very comfortable, room is clean and well-appointed. Rooms on higher floors facing Church Circle have great view of State House dome. Makes me a little disgruntled to have to pay $9.95 for internet access, but oh, well, it's a nice place to lay your head. (Ram's Head Tavern up the street has great musicians.).”
