• The room was spacious and comfortable with lots of furniture.
• No elevators and the bathroom initially smelled like a wet rag.

“Checking-in was not pleasant as the hotel had no record of our reservation. Even though I provided the confirmation number, the reservation still could not be found and we waited at least 30 minutes before being able to check in to our room. We were also placed on the 2nd floor and had to haul 4 pieces of luggage up the stairs.”

• Staff was extremely helpful with our car malfunction and with directions.
• I explained about an elderly mother and they did not suggest alternative parking and entry w/o stairs, which I discovered on my own.

“A light fixture was broken and the therefore unusable for nighttime reading. Staff indicated that the hotel was "old" and that was that! Handicapped rooms would definitely be appreciated. Just being closer to parking and not going up and then down even a short set of stairs leading to the wing with available rooms. The hotel was fairly empty and there were rooms that would have made my 92 year old mother's stay less taxing.”

• The layout of the hotel was fabulous - lush, center courtyard with a pool.
• The front desk wasn't fully staffed at all times.

“Had a wonderfully quiet stay at the Fresno Sheraton. Even though the hotel is on a main thoroughfare, the rooms are set back off the street, in a cabana style setting. The overall feel is more tropical than busy city...make sure to ask for a room that overlooks the pool for additional peace and quiet as they're further off the street. The room was spacious and well appointed + an extremely comfortable bed w/ oversized down pillows. Definitely worth a few dollars extra over other Fresno hotels.”

• This hotel should have been rated as a 4 star hotel!

“This hotel is absolutely the best hotel in the northern California! I had nothing but positive experience with this hotel! I was in Sacramento a month ago staying at another 3-star hotel and I have to tell you I can not even compare the two hotels! This hotel should be rated as a Four-star hotel! I strongly recommend this hotel to all types of travelers. Great job and very well done to the hotel management team as well as the staff at the front desk!”

• Great job on the newly remodeled rooms.
• To much noise during the late hours.

“The rooms are really nice and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We did have a problem with the hall door slamming during all hours of the night. It would shut and make a slamming noise which would also rattle our room. I would just suggest requesting a room that is not close to the hall way entrance.”

• The rooms were very large and comfortable.
• We could not lower the a/c (it was fall, not summer).

“We stayed with another family and loved the experience (4 adults + 4 children, aged 5 - 16). The rooms were huge, and very well appointed. Housekeeping immediately brought extra towels and mugs when we needed more. The pool area is huge, as well, with very nice, lighted gazebos. We were only 1 1/2 hours from home but felt we were far, far away on a very relaxing vacation/ retreat.”

“One of the nicest 3 star hotels I've stayed at. Recently refurnished and it shows. All new and very comfortable. Excellent facilities. Great for business travelers. We really enjoyed our stay.”

• Midori at the front desk went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay, she's worth every penny.
• It's location to downtown Fresno, and or the airport, it was not near either.

“Like I said, Midori at the front desk was great, when we arrived early and could not check in, she arranged transportation for us to a local hot-spot, then arranged to have a cab pick us up when we went out later that night! Great service!”

• They had wireless access at the rooms at no additional change.
• The temperature at the Jacuzzi was way too hot.

• The newly redecorated rooms were lovely. The business desk was well designed as was the chair.
• Food -mediocre; hotel consists of numerous buildings, i.e. must walk outside to room; no elevators

“Mediocre. The food at the adjacent restaurant was only average, the restaurant service very slow. It was a Tuesday/Wednesday stay. The hotel consisted of many small buildings, not connected. This requires walking outside (in heat, rain, etc. i.e. this is Fresno, CA in the summer; it was 101 F during my visit). There are no elevators in these buildings to get to the upper floors. I travel with many heavy items for work and cannot lift up these items up stairs. ”

• Very poorly kept hotel. Lousy public areas. Bad air conditioning.
• Size of the room.

“You are better of staying at Motel 6. Extremely poor representation on Sheraton. Bad air conditioning, filthy carpets, no elevator. No ice machine on second floor. Very poor landscaping.”

• Hallway areas could have been cleaner but not too bad.

• Hotel looks like a converted condominium building. Need some renovation.

“Lobby, staff, and room are nice. I was very surprised at the layout and surroundings of the hotel. It was in a bad area of town and it seemed very much like an old Motel 6 but with remodeled/refurbished rooms. Once I was in the room, I felt like I was at a Sheraton and not a Super 8.”

“The hotel was pleasant and quiet. We would stay there again if we get to Fresno. There are a number of Restaurants and facilities nearby. Close enough to freeways to access easily. It was only 7 or 8 minutes to the Save Mart Center.”

• A/C did not work well and no exhaust fan in bathroom made the room steamy after showers.

• Clean, comfortable and close to our activities.
• There were kids playing with noisy toys right outside of our room, making it hard for us to relax.

• The location was not the best. there was a shooting across the street!

“This was a very nice hotel. I would stay again in a different city. I have no desire to got to Fresno again since my truck was stolen while I was there.”

“This was a 3 star hotel. It is not better than 1 or 2 star hotels I have stayed in. the hotel was Ok but considering it was suppose to be among the nicest hotels in town, I was disappointed.”

• Parking lot ground had tree (pear?), blossoms everywhere.

“I was happy with the room although to get a non-smoking room I had to have the room by the exit door. The door slammed closed several times during the night and woke me up. I had room 181, I think. The price was high for a convention center visitor. Several other hotels were closer and cost less.”

• Free wireless connectivity in the room, very comfortable bed.
• No airport shuttle service after 11 pm and my flight arrived late.

“The hotel was pleasant, nicely furnished and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I appreciated the free wireless Internet connectivity, the USA Today delivered to my door, and convenient location not far from I-41. It was perfect for our two night stay and I would stay there again.”

• Beautiful quiet rooms.
• The associated restaurant was a service disaster.

“Great hotel, beautiful quiet rooms. Terrible restaurant from a service perspective. First we asked for the red house wine, waiter informed us that they the only house wine was white zin even though the menu had, Chablis, burgundy, and white zin. Ordered coconut shrimp menu said 12 shrimp, they brought 10. Ordered Spinach salad, they brought standard green salad, waiter didn't even know how to tell the difference between spinach and standard green salad.”

• The quality of the linens were excellent.
• The hot water was not hot, just Luke warm, possible bed bugs, husband and child both claimed they were bit.

“Looks on the outside aren't everything. We only stayed overnight, but the hot Water never got hot and there may be a insect problem in the mattress.”

• Parking lot was convenient to my door entrance.
• No automatic check out and noisy. Since I was near the security door; no in-room wi-fi.

“It was slightly better than a motel 6, in that it had no in room wi-fi, so it failed as a business traveler hotel. The restaurant was nice, but it had limited selection and was too far away from my room to be of use. For a three star rating, I expected that the hotel would at least be enclosed, such that I would not have to dress in outdoor attire to walk to the restaurant. I will not stay there again., and the offering price of over 138.00 was truly too expensive. I could have stayed at a motel 6 for $49.00, and I feel it would have been about the same. Also, even though the room was appointed nicely with a couch, chair, desk, etc., there was an obvious sexual encounter which had taken place on the couch before my arrival, as there was disgusting stains on the fabric which matched the shape of a butt. Since I did not need or use the couch, it was not so bad that I needed to change rooms. Also, the shower had very little water pressure, and the drain was slow. For three stars, truly, I was disappointed.”

• Newly remodeled, done very well.
• The room above us had someone who was up at 4:30 am, walking back and forth. Sleep became difficult

“The entire experience was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. When they told us we had been placed in a "smoking" room, we immediately objected. They explained that you do not give them those designations. They were able to accommodate us in a non-smoking room, so it turned out ok. This could have been a problem since I have allergies.”

• Could not bring my dog, who travels every where with me, into the room.

“This is a nice get-away hotel and a good place from which to conduct business. In the center of Fresno, within a short drive of the business/financial center and a short drive of the new shopping districts and nightlife. Very comfortable room/bed, and the mini-fridge meets my needs well. The outdoor Jacuzzi is open in clod weather and makes a great way to slow down after a day of business.”

• Well appointed room, excellent work area and comfortable reading chair.
• The shower had poor pressure.

“The general location of the hotel was not as secure as I would have liked. However the security in getting into my room was excellent. The rooms were extremely comfortable and well appointed from the desk working area to the leisure areas. Excellent value for what I paid.”

• Great newly remodeled rooms. Exceeded my expectations.
• Staff was not responsive at all.

“The hotel has very nice remodeled rooms. Great furnishings. Requested two beds, staff offered a roll away. Request was made at 8:45 PM. At 10:00 PM still had not completed request. I went to front desk and said I would wait for at least extra blankets. They had them within five minutes.”
