• Great pool, clean rooms, friendly staff.
• Surrounding area.

“Great place for the family or if in town on business. Area :The hotel is in is a little rough, but the hotel itself is well kept and gated. The pool is huge and the grounds are really nice. We first stayed on an unintended stay in Fresno and have gone back ever since. We recommend highly.”

• Clean, attractive, and comfortable
• There were two pillows and one was too high and the other was too low

“For the price of this hotel, I expected a lot less than I got. The swimming pool I didn't use because the air conditioner worked well enough for me. The tv was a newer flat panel and the air conditioner had a temperature control so it was great. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. This is a great hotel to stay at.”

• Nice hotel rooms.
• Heat was on in the rooms when it was 70 degrees outside. A/C had to be turned on in room by maintenance.

“Room was over 80 degrees when arrived at 8 pm. Took three phone calls and 3 1/2 hours to get A/C turned on in room. Extra blankets and sheets took 3 hours to receive at nearly 11 pm when I had young children to get to sleep. Was promised the extra bedding by 9:15 pm. Morning staff was great. Provided vouchers for breakfast for the poor service the prior evening.”

• The room was big and the beds were comfortable.
• The rugs leading to the hallways were filthy.

• Grounds were clean. Pool was clean and spacious.
• Room needed updating. Carpet old & stained. Bathroom old & had black mold where ceiling met wall.

“The rooms need to be updated. Bathroom was old & had black mold on the ceiling. Carpet had stains and looked to be dirty. The room has a musty smell to it. The grounds were kept up. The pool was clean & spacious, although they could use more lounge chairs. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.”

• Nice setting with trees and pool area. There on business, but it was also relaxing.
• Having to use key to get in building at all times, being near the outside door that was very noisy slamming. Not having a microwave in room.

• The room was large, clean and had nice amenities.
• Very disappointed because the pool was ice-cold.

“Beautiful pool area and room. I expected to swim for the three days at the hotel as the spring weather was warm and could not swim because the pool was not heated. Since the pool was highlighted, need to let guests know it can't be used.”

• Convenient location. Clean. Parking is free.

“I called the hotel to request two full/queen beds instead of one king bed. After I stated that this is how I have always requested needs, by calling the hotel in person, she finally relented and said she would send the request, but there are "no guarantees." The first night we had two beds, but they made us move the next day and provided a rollaway bed. For the money I save, I will put up with the attitudes.”

• Great pool area in a quiet location convenient to freeway and Starbucks.
• The general area felt more like a motel strip, not seedy, but very Fresno.

“The exterior and parking area appeared rather common, more like a 2.5 star hotel, max. But once past the lobby area, the rooms were spacious, well appointed and clean. The interior court area with pool was beyond expectation and raised star level to a solid 3.”

• They went out of their way to upgrade our room because the two rooms I booked were not located together.
• The maids tried to get into the room much too early. (I know we should have put the sign on the door, but we forgot.

• The room was beautiful, clean - excellent set up for business with desk/leather chair, etc.
• No elevator (only 2 floors -but hard to carry luggage up in 100 degree heat.

“I had an excellent experience here. Cookies upon arrival and beautiful rooms. They have a nice pool area that I didn't use. They gave me a quiet room off the street - it was perfect for my needs - very accommodating. I was very surprised that it was off of such a busy street - so quiet and the rooms were actually elegant and I review restaurants and hotels for bay area - so I travel and eat a lot.”

• Modern, spacious rooms. Very comfortable bed.

“The rooms are large with comfortable beds. There is free internet. Only problem is that the past two times I have stayed at this hotel there is a lot of noise from people coming and going in the hallway. I'll stay here again though. It's the nicest I've found in Fresno.”

• Peaceful pool setting with patios and lots of trees, recliner and comfortable couch in the room.
• No covered parking, Jacuzzi pool jets were not working properly.

“Very pleasant stay. Having an outdoor patio off the room, we enjoyed the night air and beautiful pool setting. The hotel also permitted my husband to smoke a cigar as we sipped a nice bottle of wine after dinner.”

“Overall, it was nice but the hotel needs better insulation. I could hear the people upstairs all night and whenever someone shut the door it sounded like it was in our room. I will say the rooms have been updated but still have an older hotel feel.”

• The room was spacious and comfortable with lots of furniture.
• No elevators and the bathroom initially smelled like a wet rag.

“Checking-in was not pleasant as the hotel had no record of our reservation. Even though I provided the confirmation number, the reservation still could not be found and we waited at least 30 minutes before being able to check in to our room. We were also placed on the 2nd floor and had to haul 4 pieces of luggage up the stairs.”

• Staff was extremely helpful with our car malfunction and with directions.
• I explained about an elderly mother and they did not suggest alternative parking and entry w/o stairs, which I discovered on my own.

“A light fixture was broken and the therefore unusable for nighttime reading. Staff indicated that the hotel was "old" and that was that! Handicapped rooms would definitely be appreciated. Just being closer to parking and not going up and then down even a short set of stairs leading to the wing with available rooms. The hotel was fairly empty and there were rooms that would have made my 92 year old mother's stay less taxing.”

• The layout of the hotel was fabulous - lush, center courtyard with a pool.
• The front desk wasn't fully staffed at all times.

“Had a wonderfully quiet stay at the Fresno Sheraton. Even though the hotel is on a main thoroughfare, the rooms are set back off the street, in a cabana style setting. The overall feel is more tropical than busy city...make sure to ask for a room that overlooks the pool for additional peace and quiet as they're further off the street. The room was spacious and well appointed + an extremely comfortable bed w/ oversized down pillows. Definitely worth a few dollars extra over other Fresno hotels.”

“This hotel is absolutely the best hotel in the northern California! I had nothing but positive experience with this hotel! I was in Sacramento a month ago staying at another 3-star hotel and I have to tell you I can not even compare the two hotels! This hotel should be rated as a Four-star hotel! I strongly recommend this hotel to all types of travelers. Great job and very well done to the hotel management team as well as the staff at the front desk!”

• Great job on the newly remodeled rooms.
• To much noise during the late hours.

“The rooms are really nice and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We did have a problem with the hall door slamming during all hours of the night. It would shut and make a slamming noise which would also rattle our room. I would just suggest requesting a room that is not close to the hall way entrance.”

• We could not lower the a/c (it was fall, not summer).

“We stayed with another family and loved the experience (4 adults + 4 children, aged 5 - 16). The rooms were huge, and very well appointed. Housekeeping immediately brought extra towels and mugs when we needed more. The pool area is huge, as well, with very nice, lighted gazebos. We were only 1 1/2 hours from home but felt we were far, far away on a very relaxing vacation/ retreat.”

• Midori at the front desk went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay, she's worth every penny.
• It's location to downtown Fresno, and or the airport, it was not near either.

“Like I said, Midori at the front desk was great, when we arrived early and could not check in, she arranged transportation for us to a local hot-spot, then arranged to have a cab pick us up when we went out later that night! Great service!”
