• The manager at the front desk was very accomadating.
• No covered parking in the heat and the concern of finding a parking space.

• Hotel room was very comfortable.
• We were placed in room overlooking front of hotel. Woken up several times by tour buses in the middle of the night.

“Nice hotel located in the downtown area of Fresno. Unfortunately several tour buses arrived and left in the middle of the night and our room was on the second floor right above the noise and hum of buses and tour groups. Woken up at 1:30, 4:30 and 6.”

• Convenient.

• Bathroom fixtures needed attention.

“This property was OK. It is not in a very good location and little attractions around it. It is an older hotel yet the lobby and waterfall are impressive. The handrails show wear that has not been attended to - otherwise it was alright.”

• We liked the bed, the down comforter, the sofa and the desk.
• Didn't like the limited choices of movie channels and cable channels.

“For us the hotel was perfect for our needs. It ended up being directly across the street from the venue that we needed to attend. It was a nice large hotel with very few guests. Because of that--there was parking near the front of the hotel. The hotel was overall clean and modern and even though it was downtown which is not a great part of town, it still was fairly secure feeling. With such few guests, I don't believe the hot water supply should have been so borderline. But there was no hotel in town that was so perfect for what we actually needed it for.”

• Very accommodating.
• Waterfall runs all the time and make a lot of noise can here in room. Closed room service early.

“The hotel is lovely for adults, as a parent the open walkways would scare me with small explorers, or I would be on a low floor. It was very well kept and clean. I did not like that room service closed an hour early. The water fall makes noise so you can here in room. Difficult for light sleeper. But overall very nice and pleasant.”

• Substandard beds in at least 2 rooms.

“Hotel is clean and the staff is helpful. The beds were uncomfortable in two different rooms. It is a good place for children. It has a nice upscale salon.”

• The hotel had a nice pool for the kids to enjoy.
• The hotel was in a less-than-desirable location.

“The hotel was old. The rooms were small, the TV was small, there were many signs of wear in the room. But the rooms did have sleep number beds and good room service. We were not familiar with the surrounding and would not stay in that particular location again.”

• The big bath tub, strong AC, sleep number king-sized bed and big room.
• The carpet, unit doors and lobby are a bit dated.

• The room decor was very nice. The large open lobby was lovely. Waiter was friendly.
• The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. We changed rooms and the next one was less smoky smelling.

“There was a nice workout room. The place was crawling with large families, kids running everywhere and using the elevator. Later we saw a sign that said all rooms on the second floor were smoking, but they had not told us that when we asked for a 2nd floor non-smoking room, so that is why we were unable to get a smoke free room.”

“This hotel is not in a very good area of town and is far away from everything. Also the swimming pool was out of service when we were there so our kids were very disappointed. But the rooms were comfortable and clean.”

• Noisy guests on balcony adjacent to open air lobby security no where to be found.

“Great room and hotel, close to adjacent freeway without the noise, wonderful bed, nice clean room. The guest in the adjacent room were very loud having a party outside their room that over looked a huge open air lobby and the reception desk at 2:54AM that went on for 40 minutes without being detected by security.”

• It is one of the few hotels in Fresno where I feel safe.
• Carpet and water fountain in main lobby area need cleaning.

“We've had bad experiences while staying elsewhere in Fresno in other years (car was broken into, all belongings stolen). I especially like the fact that the parking lot is guarded all night. The fountain in the lobby is beautiful from a distance, but up close it needs cleaning badly as does the carpet. But all in all a nice place to stay for the price.”

• Clean, pool, and inside facing, felt very safe.
• No access to stairs from ground level door is locked.

“The hotel is very nice. One problem is the elevators. They seem to be very slow. There are only 3 and this is my third stay and each time one is not working at some point. The access to the stairwell from the ground level is outside and the door is locked.”

“Good experience. We were disappointed that there were no refrigerators or microwaves without extra fee. Also, needs laundry room. Loved the atrium in middle of hotel. The kids loved the glass elevators.”

• The gym is very small and the pool area was not that great.

• You can hear constant noise while sleeping either from the air condition or the waterfall in the open space.

• It was very attractive in the lobby, and the room was very clean.
• It was located in a slightly shady neighborhood with a train station nearby.

“The room and the lobby were very upscale. The beds had remotes to make them harder or softer. My biggest thing was with the train station. Every hour throughout the night, there was a train passing by. Each one blew its multi-tonal whistle as it passed, and woke me up. Very annoying.”

• Easy access to our activities and great place for our kids.
• Restaurant discontinued all breakfast menu items on Sunday-brunch only available.

“Room was great - two adults with 3 small children and had plenty of room. Interior of the hotel was like fantasy land for my children (waterfall, glass elevators, etc.). Although situated between 2 railroad lines, found accommodations to be quiet. Easy access to freeways. Would stay again!”

“The hotel isn't in the best neighborhood and there aren't really restaurants close. But it is kind of a resort. Once you are inside you feel very safe and comfortable, and they have everything you need. We live in Fresno and go here to get away. It is considered the best hotel in town by some people.”

• The hotel has a nice courtyard and waterfalls surrounded by rooms on all four sides that I liked. Good internet connection in this area and room.
• The pan-handlers in the parking lot.

“I will recommend this hotel who does not mind one or two panhandlers in the parking lot. No good restaurant in the immediate area but has an in-house restaurant that I didn't get a chance to try out.”

• Previous guest hair, broken toilet, worse location.

“The whole area is a dump, I asked for a quiet room and they put me up against room with yelling kids, broken toilet which overflowed. Room changed and the new room had all kind of hair in the bathroom. More like an economy hotel not a 3 star.”
