“Dirty. Has potential if it were better managed. Did not use pool b/c it was not in use.” Aug 14, 2009 by

“Would rate this hotel as overpriced for what the hotel offered for accomodations and cleanliness. Beds were very uncomfortable with very scratchy linens (or maybe it was just bed bugs)” May 11, 2009 by
Kim from Springfield,IL
“I will never stay in this hotel again, aside from the ceiling being so stained, the blanket on top of the comforter had some crusty stuff on it. I do have to say I inspected the sheets and they seemed very white! I slept in my jeans, wouldn't shower there and didn't take my clothes out of my suit case. I asked the front desk if they had a bar area, she told me sometimes. I said "what does it depend on?" she said "if we have someone having a banquet, you can buy from their alcohol." Glad I wasn't having a banquet here, or I'd had had some uninvited guests evidently.” Jul 20, 2008 by

“Park Inn Is not the Place to stay if youre looking for a Quiet Night. Have stayed there twice and both times we had to sleep in shifts to guard the door so no one would break in. There were people trying to get in to our room both times. Called the front Desk and there excuse was there was a wedding Reception going on and they would tell them to stay out of halls. Yea Right, at 3:00 o'clock in the morning and this was supposed to be the quiet section. There were children and babies that lost there Parents, and fighting and screaming and people running the halls all night long.” Jul 3, 2008 by

“Was very comfortable here. Outside, as I said needed more curb appeal. Pool was great, available at night. Room itself was very good with nice bath area and clean.” Aug 10, 2007 by

“Can accept fact motel was older and worn, but was filthy and had a very unpleasant odor, could not see out of window was so dirty & stained. Key card did not work, walls had red stains on them, chairs stained, sheets ripped and pipes vibrated when turned on. No hot water in shower, halls were dirty, grounds overgrown and party down hall and it was very noisy. Lights dimmed when used dryer in bathroom.” Mar 22, 2006 by

“This hotel is trying to stay alive, but it was not a place that I would ever stay at again. There were people outside yelling until 1:00AM and the noise level between rooms was not for someone that would like privacy. A lady was talking on her cell phone in the next room and I heard ever single word. Not a hotel that I would recommend to anyone.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 16, 2005 by

“The hotel staff were rude and unattentive at check in and check out. The bed was a king on a full size frame. Most of the bed was leaning over the sides therefore it was uncomfortable to sleep on. They also stated that I had a non smoking room and you could have chocked on the smell.” Sep 2, 2005 by
Cheryl from Princeton, IN
“The directions were wrong - I needed to go north on US 45 instead of south (right), but I did find it fairly quickly. It was clean but a little pricey due to the apparently high hotel tax in Champaign county. However, the room was nice sized and it was not at all busy the night I was there. It was clean and reasonably confortable.” Jul 20, 2005 by
Larry from Hesperia, CA
“Although the outside view of the motel were not well kept the room we stayed in was very clean and maintained. The AC ran well as it was very hot and humid in the location of where we stayed. The staff was pleasant, and answered our questions.” Jun 3, 2005 by
Henry from Grand Blanc, MI
“The hotel was very clean and the room was larger than I anticipated for this class hotel. The staff was friendly, but there was not enough help. The continental breakfast room was not kept clean. Desk clerk had to clean, replenish, & run desk. Ran out of donuts within first 30 minutes. The back entrance needed your room card to enter, but the lock was not working & I could not get in. Had to walk all the way around the bldg to get in, then all the way to the back again to unload. Desk clerk did not know how to fix the lock or unlock it. People at the far side of the bldg were complaining also about not being able to get in. The hotel could obviously use some maintenance help.It was definetly an inconvenience, but I will stay here again. The room size and cleanliness was a pleasant surprise. There was a wedding party going on when I checked in. And without having to ask, the desk clerk gave us a room away from the commotion. Very much appreciated. Excellent value.” Apr 27, 2005 by

“It was a good place to spend the night for the money. The complimentary breakfast was a bit skimpy, but the room had a coffee-maker with real ceramic coffee cups.” Apr 25, 2005 by
Derek from Manhattan, KS
“For a one star rated hotel, the Park Inn was just fine. The only problems I had were that the furnishings were a bit old and worn, and that the hotel had no internet. Obviously I was not expecting a 4 star, but the free continental breakfast was nice, and check-in and check-out were a snap. All the amenities were provided quickly. Of the problems, the largest one I had was the lack of any internet capability, either wireless or ethernet ports. I had to go to Kinko's to use their internet. Other than that, though, my stay was just great.” Sep 14, 2004 by
Kimbra B. from Palatine, IL “The $85 price was high for a two-star hotel, but it was a home football weekend in Champaign-Urbana, IL. They did have a continental breakfast that was good. The hotel is properly rated at two stars and I would still recommend the hotel to others for a good price.” Sep 13, 2004 by
Robert T. from Washington, IL “Dirty, Yucky” Sep 12, 2004 by
Bradley S. from Litchfield “The outside of this hotel was less than desirable. Needs to be painted - paint falling off. Wood trim around windows needed to be replaced - could see light through the frame. Duct tape was on the windows. Wiring showing on exterior lighting. Room itself was clean. Fire alarms sounded during stay (2:00 a.m.) and alarms were not heard by the majority of guests in the hotel. Only three people had evacuated the building. Continental breakfast had very few items - cereal, milk, prepackaged pastries. Staff fine. I feel the rating on this hotel should be changed so future guests do not have a similar experience with this hotel.” Hotel Representatives:
