• Conveniently located for where we had to go, and reasonably priced.
• Shuttle service to RTC needs to be refined.

“Free shuttle service provided to RTC only until 12:00. I doubt that any graduations are over before 12:00. If so, then people from hotel to RTC should be given a reduced rate on return trip or told what the rates are for the service provided. Meter in cab I rode in changed every 8 seconds whether moving or not.”

• I loved the rooms and breakfast.
• Hot tub was not working.

“We loved staying here. It was great. In fact we are planning on going back next year and staying at this motel to go to Six Flags. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was roomy and nice. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the hot tub was not working when we stayed. The hotel staff was very helpful.”

• Had very comfortable beds and very fluffy towels.
• Staff forgot to restock towels and wash cloths, had to go ask.

“It was very nice and affordable, especially liked the diner across the parking lot.”

• It was easy to find and the breakfast was free.
• The room felt like a jail cell, no pictures on the wall.

“I didn't realize that I may have had the option of staying in a non smoking room. To my dismay, I was placed in a smoking room which tainted the experience.”

• Good location, right next door to Ponderosa which is one of my favorite restaurants.
• Small bathroom, not enough space in the room, non smoking room smelled like smoke, no view whatsoever in the room.

“The staff was trying to be helpful, but maybe they were just saying the right words because we were not seeing anything change. My husband and I got to the point where we just left and counted lose and got another room. The bathrooms are small which left no room for romance, the TV did not have many channels you couldn't order anything and there was not a cord in the TV to watch a DVD. There was not a view whatsoever we were looking at the side of a building. I felt I was staying in by an alley. To stay here is for solely sleeping alone I will rate this hotel a 1 star and if you stay here only plan to just sleep here this is not a relaxing room.”

• The restaurant next door was excellent as was the continental breakfast.
• The carpet was filthy. The bottom of our socks was black. Made you afraid to go barefoot.

“Very well located for Gurnee Mall shoppers and 6 Flags. I would definitely recommend the restaurant next to the hotel. Good food and reasonable prices. The rooms were nicely laid out with plenty of lighting for reading and 2 chairs and a table for eating. Room had a micro-wave in it.”

• Liked that it had a free breakfast.
• The staff rarely refilled the juices, milk, muffins.

“I had to ask every morning for the food in the breakfast to be refilled- there was no milk for the cereal and any fruit, juices, muffins. It was ok for a short stay and close to six flags so we were happy with that.”

• Absolutely nothing.
• They were not prepared for us to be there and they did not give us the correct accommodations.

“It is in a bad location and the staff is not friendly. The room, and hotel lobby/hallways, was dirty. The staff did not prepare for us to be there and we did not receive the bedding accommodations we requested. The room was not large enough for three of us.”

• It was close to where we needed to be.
• Parking was bad, the bed wasn't very comfortable & the location wasn't.

“I thought the hotel price was high because it wasn't that nice of a hotel and it basically has nothing to offer. This hotel would be good for business people on a budget.”

“I would not recommend this hotel to anybody, this was a very upsetting stay. The quality of this hotel is completely unacceptable. Honestly, it was more drug infested than any hotel I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot! Serious changes need to be made at this one.”

• It was very convenient to what we where in the area for.
• Wish the rooms could have been a bit larger.

“Over all it was fine, we did not spend a lot of time there, we were there for a purpose and the hotel served it fine. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I need to return to the area.”

• At least there was a bed, and it seemed safe. Not clean. Not impressed.
• We got moved twice. It was dirty. Breakfast was disappointing.

“I was far from impressed with the facilities. The staff was nice, but the facilities were not very good. Our first room assigned was dirty. The second room assigned had an air conditioner unit off the wall and on the floor.”

• Location is just minutes from six flags.
• Horribly smoky and not very clean.

“Arrival staff was not very friendly. We reserved 2 rooms requesting no-smoking but were given 2 rooms both smoking. Not great when traveling with children. TV would not work initially. I had to repair myself. Overall the entire facility would have to be characterized as dirty.”

• Room was clean and comfortable.
• No elevators, parking.

“My mother and I came here to see my son graduate from the great lakes Navy training center. Hotel location was good. No elevators, was a big problem getting bags to & from room. I told staff my mother has severe arthritis, coped. They said no room was open on first floor. Each time we would get to the car we were worn out. Staff didn't seem to care or offer to help.”

• The location of the hotel was excellent.
• The night clerk was not helpful at all.

“The hotel rooms are spacious (for the price) and clean. For the most part, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel.”

• The bathroom was clean.
• The cable TV system was terrible.

“This hotel is next to the BMV at 8 am outside our windows there was mass gathering of people waiting for the BMV to open cars looking for parking they took all the hotel spaces all day. Also asked about the cable TV reception on the first night, I was told it would be fixed, however, it was not, for three days. Doors slamming all night.”

• The continental breakfast was very good.
• There was no internet service available in the rooms, stove or refrigerator in the rooms.

“When I called back to get it corrected, I was told I had to contact the general manager today, 2/5/07. When I called him, he said he would look into it and call me. The second time I have stayed at this hotel and the second time this has happened. The first time the clerk corrected the problem immediately, I can't understand why they can not correct the problem immediately.”

• The hotel was attractive and clean. There were appliances and cribs available. The room was large.
• The parking lot is difficult to enter from the street.

“This hotel is great. It was very comfortable and clean. The parking lot was cleared of snow. The staff was very nice and helpful. You could say it's an affordable 3 star hotel.”

“This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I stay in hotels about 50 nights a year, To date; I have stayed at the candlewood or Marriott courtyard in Waukegan. As the possibility now exists I will get stuck in this below par hotel (quality inn), Hotel was not in desirable location, was dirty and required numerous maintenance items (lights, remotes, computer access all didn't work - attention light on heater on the whole time). Bathrooms small and uncomfortable. Bedspread dirty and torn and sheets were so pilled they were uncomfortable to sleep on. I was very disappointed in entire experience.”
