• All of the rooms had sleep number beds. Very comfortable.
• It smelled like cigarette smoke.

“As soon as I walked into the lobby all I could smell was cigarette smoke. Only the second floor was smoking, but the entire hotel stank. The water in the indoor pool was cloudy. I heard other guests refer to it as "scary". The bathroom was so small that you could barely turn around in it and there was mildew growing on the ceiling. If carpet stains, rust and dirty pool indicate new, I would hate to see old.”

• The oversized room was really nice. My husband and our older children really like the sleep number beds.

“We have stayed at this hotel before and will continue to stay here when we visit the upstate because it is in a good area, the hotel rooms are large and comfortable, and the amenities are good. The staff is very friendly and very helpful.”

• The rooms were large.
• The bar and pool was in the middle of the hotel, so you got smoke and noise throughout.

“I stayed here for 6 weeks with my family. One room was so humid that our sheets were damp. We even found little bugs in our room. We had to switch rooms several times. Toward the end of my stay, I found a mouse in my room on the third floor. I brought it up with the manager and she said that it was my fault because I had food in my room. I have never been so disappointed with a hotel in my life!”

• Good walk in impression with spacious lobby area, clean, comfortable room.
• Rooms could use a refrigerator, would be more convenient.

• The only thing that I really liked about the hotel was the indoor swimming pool. It was convenient for my kids to go swimming in spite of the rain.
• The room in itself was not very clean. The shower curtains had mold and mildew on them. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.

“The staff at the hotel were quite friendly. I was not pleased at all that the room was not clean. I was traveling with children one which is a baby only 9 weeks, so to be in a room with mold and mildew was very disturbing to me.”

• Most staff members were extremely helpful, even when I was being moved to another room.
• First room had A/C/humidity problems, second room had noisy A/C- prevented sleep.

“I was disappointed in the hotel. At check-in, I was told that a refrigerator/microwave room was not available. The first room had a terrible problem with humidity. When I reported it, Monica and James were very courteous and helpful in our move to another room. The second room had a banging A/C, preventing sleep. Once again, James was very helpful in our move to another room, which he checked out himself to make sure it was in good condition. The third room was the charm. For the inconvenience of our moves, we were given free breakfast coupons for their buffet breakfast. The ladies at the buffet were wonderful - friendly and helpful. I do not know if I would stay here again.”

• Location. queen sized beds and lots of space in the room.
• The bathroom was too small. The air conditioning was noisy and outdated.

“Overall, my stay was great. It was clean, friendly staff, etc. However, the air conditioning made a lot of noise and it didn't work very well for the size of the room. The bathroom was very tiny and needed a fan. Otherwise, it was great.”

“Overall the hotel was acceptable. Only complaint is my room was non-smoking and appeared to be, but when I got home I could smell smoke on my clothes. Smoke smell was masked but our clothes picked it up.”

• Staff and condition of room.

“The rooms have a smoke odor even thought they are non-smoking, the heating and cooling systems make very loud noises (as if something is falling out of the ceiling), and half the time the light bulbs do not even work. They do not care about their customers. You can look over my account and see how many times I stayed at this hotel. Needless to say I have spent many thousands of dollars with this hotel.”

• The beds (sleep number beds) were excellent.
• The smell of smoke from the bar downstairs.

“The room was very comfortable, but could have used a table with chairs. It overall was an excellent stay (even though maintenance had to come unclog our toilet, but they responded immediately). My kids loved the indoor pool. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways and main area coming from the bar and the smoking rooms (I am a smoker myself, but do not like my children to be around it).”

• The overall place and size of rooms, easy to get to.
• Needs a small refrigerator in the rooms.

“The hotel was easy to get to, also staff well to work with, allot going on at the same time bmx, dance, prom, college groups and reg. travelers and all went well, no problems and if there was one I couldn't tell.”

• I liked it had continental breakfast even though it wasn't all that good.
• Smokey atmosphere, loud prom going on, nothing but coffee and water to drink with breakfast, old dirty rooms.

“This hotel is somewhat hard to find, and certainly not as nice as I expected for an "upscale 3 star hotel". The room was old, unrenovated, and somewhat dirty with trash on the floor next to the bed. I was put in a smoking room without being asked if that was okay. On the website it talks about the sleep number beds my room had an old hard mattress and flat pillows. There was a prom going on downstairs and it was extremely loud in the lobby. The free breakfast was okay but only offered coffee and water to drink. Overall not a place I'd stay again, especially with my kids.”

• The person who checked us in was fairly nice.
• No window in the room, grease on the nightstand, no trashcan in the bathroom.

“The hotel is weirdly placed off the exit in a dark industrial looking area. I would be willing to bed money that this used to be a motel with exterior rooms. The hotel is the nastiest place I have ever stayed. There is no window, just a sliding door that opens to a balcony that overlooks the atrium and the planter boxes filled with pine bark and cigarette ashes and butts. The Atrium features a indoor pool with some concrete around it, but then surrounded by carpet. It feels like a breeding ground for disease. It feel moist and just down right nasty. I put my hand on my night stand when I was getting up and discovered it was covered with some kind of greasy stuff! I wanted to scream, just filthy.”

“I was very pleased with the staff and the amenities of the hotel. It gave my children comfort and bit of room to play, I thought that some kids where a little nosy but the staff handle them with such class. I will stay again, Oh yea Cracker Barrel.”

• My group includes kids, which enjoyed the pool area.
• The eating area had a microwave. It didn't work!

• Good place to stay when passing through.
• Rooms badly in need of updating.

“All in all it was a descent hotel; however it is in need of updating. The carpets where stained, the shower curtain and shower walls were mildewed. The Sleep Number beds were uncomfortable and seem worn out. Not a bad choice if you are passing through for 1 night, but for a longer stay I would go elsewhere. It does not deserve a 3 star rating.”

“I have had problems with the hotel in the past (poor quality food with room service and swapping food out without calling me back because they were out), etc. I called to set up a wake up call one night and tried repeatedly to reach the front desk from 11:10 - 11:40 pm. I finally had to get up and dress and walk down to the front desk to get this call set up. I like the Courtyard much better in Spartanburg and it is a 2.5 star and not a 3 star hotel like this one. This looks nicer on the outside but I always experience things that make it less desirable to stay at.”

• Do not like air comfort bed at all.

“All rooms non-smoking or with king size bed have air comfort beds - very uncomfortable to me and would not want to stay there again for that reason. My associate's mattress deflated during the night for both nights he stayed there.”

• I think anyone would enjoy there stay here, business or leisure.

• Location, attractive facility, nice rooms.
• Staff very casual about service; food service needs help.

“Chose hotel with 3 star rating with indoor "heated" pool for a special outing with 2 grandchildren. Nice facility, nice rooms. Pool too cold to have children in for any length of time. Food at 8.95 breakfast buffet not up to standards of a 3 star hotel; poorly organized and refilled. Staff at front desk and at restaurant very casual and slow to respond. Room service which is a big thrill for the children - I was asked to come down to pick up the food; took about an hour before they called to say that 2 sandwiches were ready, then had to wander around and ask at the front desk and the bar where to find someone in the restaurant to pick up the food. Not my idea of room service, which ended up costing me $35 for a cheeseburger, a Reuben, and an appetizer of chicken wings. This did not include any drinks. The fries were too cold to eat. To keep the rating on this hotel, the staff response and food service need some improvement.”

• Lobby was spacious and grand. Room was clean upon arrival.
• VERY poor service. Other than provide us a room they did nothing.

“Checked in Thursday just before midnight. Ordered room service at 7:30 am on Friday. They didn't write down our room so meal didn't come until we called back. They didn't recook it so it was cold. Forgot to take our credit card so cold meal was interrupted twice for that and because of lateness we had to leave meal unfinished to attend funeral we were in town for. Left door hanger on knob for service. When we returned at 3pm on Friday room was not serviced and meal tray was still outside door. When we left to check-out at 8am on Saturday meal tray was still outside door. Check-out clerk never looked up and only words spoken to me were "OK, you've already paid."”

“We were greeted shortly after entering the bldg by a very sweet and helpful young lady at the desk. Radisson has done quite a bit of remodeling since the last time we were there. It was a much better experience this time.”
