- Its was well taken care of, restrooms were nice, vip upgrade was excellent.
- $17 a day valet was a surpise.
“I was skeptical because of the comments I read, but I was pleasantly surprised with the 42 inch flat screen, king size bed, and a really nice restroom. Its proximity to all the downtown attractions was close. We never used our vehicles. The VIP upgrade was the best with 24 hour complimentary food and drinks. I recommend this Hilton Hotel to anyone.”

- Very convenient to the convention center and dowtown Ft. Worth entertainment.
- Hallway noise is pretty apparent.
“Stayed one night while attending a parent's weekend at a nearby university. Have stayed before and will stay again. Bathroom recently remodeled and tub removed completely. Has a no step shower in its place that I like. Missing a few amenities for a true 4 star. No minibar, no TV movies or TV checkout (though you can checkout via phone).”

- The room was very nice, large and clean.
- The valet parking was a slow joke, hot water was iffy and the internet was off as much as on.
“The Hilton in Downtown Fort Worth Texas is a lovely hotel with very nice staff. However the lack of a phone directly to the valet parking staff encouraged finger pointing as to why you car was never brought up on time. The poor desk staff was to walk a car number out to the valet stand and the valet staff was expected to be at the stand not getting your car. To make matters worse, the valet parking lane is as street though it looks like a driveway, traffic is often racing through, watch your kids carefully. The hot water was too hot, then too cold just like the internet.”

- I liked the cleanliness of the bathroom although not what I expected, no jetted tub.
- Valet parking, No spa, just work out center; AC not cooling.
“The hotel and it is history are apparent. If you call ahead and request non smoking king room and are told no problem. And when you check in at 4:01 and then told there are no non smoking king beds, that is a problem.”

- Room was elegant and well furnished, lots of windows.
- WiFi didn't work and the front desk screwed up check in.
“The good: The Hilton was very elegant and classy. The room was comfortable and plush with a large TV and many windows. Location is great, there was a Chilis down the street for supper and a Corner Bakery for breakfast. Helpful concierge gave us a map of the city and discount tickets to the Fort Worth Zoo. The bad: Front desk staff screwed up my check-in. Had to spend 25 minutes getting it sorted out the next morning when the wrong bill was put under my door. If I was a business traveler I couldn't have spent that time on their mistake. I couldn't get the WiFi to work after 10 minutes and gave up.”

- The Wi-Fi was not included in the price, no pool or hot tub.
“This Hilton is very beautiful and very convenient to everything in downtown Fort Worth but off the main track so it is quiet. The historical value also makes it interesting. However, as an upscale hotel I was disappointed that the wireless connection in the rooms were not included in the price. I was also disappointed that there was no pool. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.”

- Other than ingratiating concierge, staff provided no service.
“Facility was nice but Staff was apathetic. Could not get assistance with room layout or service (sofa bed could not extend and no one delivered linens). Had to move furniture to accommodate sofa bed then go get linens from front desk. Food & drink very overpriced. Breakfast buffet was $15 for not much, one draft beer and one shot vodka was $12. We won't stay here again.”

- Valet parking is required, $17. Be sure to pay through the desk, as valets will take your money and not pay the hotel.
“Beautifully maintained, historic hotel (JFK stayed there on the eve of his assassination), close to all of the downtown action. Our standard room was large, had a great view and a comfortable bed. You will enjoy your stay at the Ft. Worth Hilton.”

“I was placed in a smoking room. I called the front desk to see if there was another room and they (Hotel Asst & Jeremy the Manager) said the hotel was full to capacity and I had no other choice. So I checked out one hour later and moved to another Hotel. It was the worst experience having to look for another Hotel at 8:oo o'clock at night.”

- It was easy to tell the hotel was a remodeled older hotel, as certain things (like doors) didn't work as well as they should.
“Most double occupancy rooms in hotels have two queen beds, this one had two full beds. This made it difficult for my husband (who is 6'4") and myself to share a bed. Not very conducive to a romantic getaway.”

- The restaurants and public facilities were nice.
- Room air conditioning worked improperly, hotel staff was below average.
“This is an aesthetically pleasing hotel. The staff was well meaning, but had difficulty with the simple task of bringing a crib into my room. It took 6 hours and 4 phone call/front desk visits to get this accomplished. Then, the air conditioning in my room wasn't working well. The thermostat said 62 degrees, but it was barely cool enough to sleep comfortably. People were also running up and down the halls while I tried to sleep. Bad experience.”

“The room itself was great! the parking was terrible, we had to valet park since we were unable to locate self parking. My mirrow on drivers side was busted after we waited 20 minutes for car! the hotel was so crowded, we waited and waited for an elevator and finally gave up and walked 10 flights of stairs. I will not stay at this hotel again.”

“For travelers to the Ft. Worth Convention Center, this hotel may be adequate. However, for leisure travelers. The hotel is quite lacking. It does not have the amenities expected of a 4 star hotel and is further away from the downtown leisure activities than are other hotels.”

- The location was definitely the best thing about the hotel.
- It had no movie channels.
“It was a good hotel, but I stayed in a La Quinta Inn in Plano a few weeks ago that I liked better. The bed was more comfortable, they had movie channels and a flat screen TV. The Hilton had no movie channels and a TV from probably 15 years ago. it was nice but I probably won't stay at the Hilton again.”

- Should be wireless internet and it should be free. Even La Quinta provides this, no pool or on site spa, valet parking only and it's expensive.
“This is a good place to stay if you simply want to experience downtown Fort Worth/Sundance Square by foot. The room was nice and you can walk right out the door to restaurants/bars/shopping. However, charging for internet use is so old and the valet parking charge is outrageous.”

Decor and furnishings of the rooms were sub-par: It takes a little more than stone veneer in the shower to make it a nice bathroom. The fact that they gave us an occupied room first, and then a room with a "known" door-lock issue started our evening off on the wrong foot. The free access to the "Concierge Lounge" was nice, but not worth the trouble or the tiny elevators. Overall I give this hotel a 2.5 star rating - definitely well below other 3-star hotels in the area.”

“I was meeting my husband for a romantic weekend and the hotel totally ruined our experience. We could not even touch in bed due to the fact that the air conditioning did not work and we asked numerous times for someone to fix it.”

- Location, quality, service, perfect buffet for lunch.
- No swimming pool.
“The service was both professional and personal. So many of the staff called us by name as we re-entered the hotel or the lounge and even the restaurant. The lunch buffet far exceeded our expectations. We would return to the lunch buffet every week if we lived in town. The price was surprising low for the quality of food. The front desk was quick for check in and check out. The operator answered the phone quickly and put us through to the right number each time. Even the manager on duty was accessible via telephone when I merely wanted to leave him a compliment regarding his staff via voice mail. Perfect stay.”

- Hotel was nice and clean. Sleep number beds are awesome! Room service and hotel "nightclub" with good service and convenient.
- Unable to get cab service to take downtown. Not convenient to outside activities.

- The restaurant was a pleasant surprise with great food and service.
- The bed was a little soft for my tastes. It did not have a firmness to it.
“The Hilton located in Downtown Fort Worth was a great value and afforded many of the comforts of a 4 star hotel at half the price. The restaurant serves a varied and delicious breakfast especially if you enjoy a European Breakfast. The rooms were clean, modern and showed no signs of wear. There are only two elevators in the hotel, so be prepared to wait a moment or two on getting into one. Otherwise, the location is fantastic and the staff was both friendly and professional. Definitely the place to stay when in Fort Worth!”

- Nice location.
- Lousy elevator service.
“There was only 1 functional elevator, so my wife and I spent a significant amount of our vacation time waiting on elevators and then being crammed in like a sardine. Then there was a fire alarm at 2:00 a.m. and we had to walk down 12 flights of stairs and sit outside for 20 minutes until they decided it was a false alarm. Not a very fun stay at this hotel.”
