• For the most part, it was very clean. Always saw someone cleaning in hallways and lobby.
• Bathtub could have used a scrubbing. Room smelled like someone had smoked. Heater very noisy.

“This a very good hotel. The staff was friendly and the place is clean. The lobby is very welcoming. The heating and cooling systems in the rooms could use updating. They are noisy and I had to keep getting up to adjust the temperature. Room smelled like it had once been smoked in. Even so, I would stay here again.”

• The room smelled funky, could be a little cleaner, the air-conditioned was too loud, cable TV was inadequate.

• It was conveniently out of the way but close enough to the action.
• Nothing bad to say.

“My wife and I really liked the location of this hotel. It was a little hard to find as we got into town but we came to appreciate it's location. It is on a side street with no real traffic to speak of but was only 5 minutes from music row. The accommodations were ok. Pretty standard for a Best Western. No problems with the room or the staff.”

• Very clean and quiet.
• Needed a late night restaurant but there was one in close proximity that I used.

“Very clean and quiet and in a good location near the express way - not difficult to locate. Moderate rate that fit into my company's budget. Had everything that I needed in the room in terms of iron, ironing desk, TV cable, refrigerator, microwave, safe and coffee maker even though I did not have to use all of them.”

• Fairly close to Downtown, but no shuttle offered.
• Dingy, cocktail lounge was horrible, fitness facility was dilapidated and unusable, staff was rude.

“A very poor mark in the Best Western family, extremely overpriced for what you get. Location is okay, but there is no shuttle offered. Don't waste your time with the complimentary continental breakfast unless you have a penchant for stomach-aches and diarrhea.”

“Given Nashville hotels near to Vanderbilt University are generally expensive, this suffices, but it is really an old hotel in desperate need of updating.”

• It was convenient.
• It is not someplace that I would put anyone else in.

“The front desk is usually rude. I stay here because it is cheap. The location is that only real plus and I only stay when I know that I'm going to sleep there only and not spend any time in the room.”

• Seedy location music from the bar could be heard in room on fourth floor.

“The hotel was clean and adequate, comparable to an economy hotel. The continental breakfast was ok to Average. The area the hotel is located in is more suited to people in transient on business than a couple on a get away weekend.”

• Easy to find from freeway - that's about the ONLY thing that was positive.
• Staff was extremely rude when I phoned prior to our stay. Dirty, dumpy hotel.

“The staff was rude, short and unhelpful. The rooms were old, the towel bars were coming off the wall, they needed paint, the carpet was worn. I made sure to check for bed bugs before I got in bed. The heating AC unit rattled all night.”

• It was close to downtown Nashville.
• The horrible smell and bed linens!

“How can this hotel be a 2.5 star when the downtown Spring Inn and Suites is as well? The difference in a two and a half star is evidently more than I allowed for. Maybe my fault, but I won't be victim again.”

• The room was comfortable.
• We were placed in a smoking room initially.

“The hotel was just what I expected. The night staff was so, and the day staff was very helpful. We were initially placed in a smoking room, and spent one night there. They cheerfully moved us to a non-smoking room the next day. If you don't want a smoking room, call before you arrive.”

• Close to venue I was in town to attend.
• The fitness room needed signs for children not to play on equipment and for weights to be replaced, equip repaired. Business center separate room.

“Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about area. Location was convenient for easy access to I-40. The fitness room had free weights laying around the treadmills and were never replaced on the rack the 3 days I was there.”

• Unwilling to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.

“Did not meet my expectations. hotel staff was quick to make excuses as to why I could not get the king size bed that I had reserved and I was unaware that the hotel was undergoing renovations resulting in a noisy daytime hotel experience. Sure they worked with me and let me check in earlier than their normal check-in time, but I did not know I would be sacrificing a king size bed for two queens. Thanks but no thanks. O yeah and the gym was pretty pathetic. Half that equipment is unfit to work out with. Also don't bank on a good wi-fi signal, cuz mine went out on me.”

“Except for the location, this hotel was little better than staying in a 1 star motel by the expressway. I was very disappointed, I expected more because the hotel is in music row and by many attractions and good restaurants and a university. If I had paid half as much I would have felt better about the situation.”

• Staff didn't speak English, cards were faulty, business and fitness centers were not good.

“This hotel fabricated what they offered. The business and fitness center were a joke, I had to reactivate my card every time I left the room. The staff were not very friendly and did not speak very good English, they didn't understand what I was saying.”

“We check in the hotel and the front desk person disappeared. When we got to our room is had an awful smell. When we went do to the front desk no one was there. We asked for a wake up call and it was 10-15min. after the time we asked for. I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers.”

• The staff was amazing right from the cleaning staff to the bartender, front desk, and the management. They were very helpful with everything.
• Small leak in the bathroom that drained on the floor but it was no big deal they will have it fixed in no time. They are very professional there.

“Great location, great staff, clean, business room was always available. I will stay there for sure again. All my friends from my hometown in Canada stay there too. Continental breakfast was an asset to.”

• The lounge doubles as the continental breakfast room. It can really bring back bad memories from the night before.

• Broken Tub, toilet, sink. Loud music from bar.

“Horrible stay. The bar on the first floor kept us up until midnight. Our sink and tub would not drain. Seat was broken completely off of the toilet. Nasty leaking water on the carpet in breakfast area which doubles as the Smokey, loud bar room. All in all it was pretty dirty and mgm't just doesn't seem to be very concerned.”

• The workout room was too hot and the equipment needs a serious update.

• There was a band playing late at night in the bar couldve been a little loud for some.

• The patrons at the lounge in the hotel were loud and were awoken at night by a fight in the parking lot.

“The hotel was okay. The ceiling in the bathroom has mold or mildew on it which was very unattractive. The beds were comfortable. The hotel needs some type of security for the lounge to keep the patrons under control.”
