  • Convenient location. In town, for concert blocks away and were able to walk.
  • Parking. We paid to valet 24.00 per night.

“If you have business or activities planned down town this is a wonderful hotel. Very nice, clean stay, staff not very helpful in assisting with getting around. Valets are not helpful at all for 24.00 per night. Room very nice and clean. Plenty of space for my family of 4. You can hear rooms around you. Lovely pool.”

  • The front desk person saved a really bad review.
  • Check the reviews be forewarned they nickel-and-dime you to death.

“I knew about $24/day to park so that was not a surprise no self-parking allowed. $12 breakfast buffet was not much better than the free buffet at Hyatt Place, etc. No Wi-Fi in rooms, wired only $10/day. $1 paper delivery fee if you want it or not! The dining room charges serious-food prices for heat n eat. Major ceiling water damage in the bathroom. Paper-thin doors.”

  • Close to Vanderbilt. Which was my reason for staying there.
  • Valet parking too expensive,so your other option is a parking grage acroo the street and also pricey. Too noisy.

“This hotel was extremely noisy. Parking is both expensive and inconvient. Everything in the hotel cost money. Very,very expensive for a half decent hotel. Rooms smelled musty. Also partying on the floor kept me up all night. I was totally miserable and could not wait to get home. My room was change after constant complaints about the noise the 5th day of my 6 day stay. Never again will I rent a suite from them,”

  • Driver of shuttle bus went out of way to help us when rest of hotel staff did not.
  • Very rude desk manager that did not want to fix their mistake.

“Dated hotel requiring difficult downhill/uphill walking to restaurants/events.Walking into entrance met by steps up to lobby with no signage there's an elevator. Traveling with elderly father, this was not a good experience.”

  • The hotel staff was awesome!
  • Nothing negative to say!

“We stayed at the hotel for New Years Eve 08' and was very happy with everything. The staff was extremely friendly, valet service ran smoothly, housekeeping was very prompt in brining extra towels, and the ceasar shrimp salad from room service was actually the best salad I have ever had! We will definitely be returning back!”

  • It was very clean. The workers were all very nice. You just don't see too many nice people anymore, was very good to see that.
  • The only thing was construction across the street that started early, but I wanted to get up early anyway and go shopping. No problem.

  • The room was nice but if you looked under the beds they are not clean. You should have a clean room.
  • I had a very special night planned for my husband's birthday, I used the hotel iron and it ruined my shirt which ruined my night.

  • We got stuck in the elevator for over 15 minutes! Valet service damaged our car.

“Very disappointed. Hotel staff was rude. The elevator broke and we were stuck inside for over 15 minutes, and then not even offered an apology afterwards. I will not stay at this hotel again!!”

  • It was undergoing significant re-modeling in public areas at the time.

  • Rooms were nice and in a good location for going to LP Field or Downtown.
  • The parking was awful, had to wait for over an hour to get my car to leave very displeased.

  • Overall it was a good.
  • Housekeeping needs to pay attention to the area around the toilet and under the bed. Both had a former guest pills around them.

“Overall a good experience. We usually stay in a cabin or condo when we visit Estes Park, this is our first hotel experience. It saved us a lot of money as opposed to the cabin and condo rate. We decided to give this a try as we don't use the kitchen much anyway. A microwave and mini fridge would have been nice.”

  • Helpfulness of staff and willingness to assist in reservations, directions, etc.
  • It was not in the most premier location to all downtown activity.

“For a one night stay this hotel was very nice and did have a very helpful staff with all aspects of the trip. The staff did strive to answer every question and assist in every manner of the trip. I would have liked to have been a little closer to all of the downtown activity, but there was a shuttle service available through the hotel. Overall, I expected a little more out of the rooms, but they were clean and tidy and included most features you would expect. The hotel also had the added bonus of a star bucks in the lobby and a bar for a great comfy spot. Overall this was a very nice hotel.”

  • The valet parking was very convenient.
  • The room had a few marks on the wall that looked bad.

“The doubletree Nashville is in the middle of downtown Nashville, and is very convenient to a great number of attractions. The hotel restaurant and lounge are very nice, though expensive, so beware. The valet parking service was a fantastic feature (twenty dollars a day, with in and out privileges). The room we had was spacious and very nice and clean. I found a few marks on the walls in various places, but am barely noticeable and did not affect our experienced. The service of the hotel was great and responsive to all our needs. A great overall experience!”

  • Seems to be a haven for drunk college kids.

“Never ever stay here unless you are a drunk college kid. They let them have the run of the party because they were there was a convention and they were part of it. I never got to sleep before 4:30 and even heard one case of "date rape" in the making. Spare yourself because the front desk does not exist after 10pm and security does not even bother to check into complaints. Never ever stay here.”

  • The room was well appointed for an older hotel, but the bathroom showed its age.
  • The only secure parking was valet parking. The location, the view and sounds of the city bus station.

  • I loved the star bucks in the lobby.
  • It was noisy, and our bathroom faucet gurgled all night long very loudly.

“They nickel and dimmed you to death. We were right beside of the bus station, so it was noisy on the street. Our neighbors were very loud, and for some reason our bathroom faucet gurgled all night long very loudly. At 4:00 in the morning, we didn't feel like calling maintenance. Someone had set the alarm clock for 4:30, but thankfully we caught it. The shower was slightly moldy. The hotel was the only thing about Nashville we didn't like. We were disappointed.”

  • Put me in a smoking room which smelled really bad.

“I loved the public areas of the hotel. The employee's of the hotel were great; I had great service the entire time I was there. They offer a courtesy van which will take you within 5 miles of the hotel - which was nice. The only bad experience I had was with the room - they assigned me a smoking room which smelled really bad, and there were stains of unknown origins on the carpet.”

“We were traveling with a pet and given a room on the second floor. The second night of our stay, there was a high school affair at the hotel and the younger people were on the second floor to our left and right. The night was quite noisy until 3am. Not too pleasant. Otherwise, the hotel was very accommodating and comfortable.”

  • No self parking.

“This property definitely treated customers below other hotel guests. Only a smoking room was made available despite the fact I was traveling with two small kids. I was told that was the only kind of room available. This did not rub me the right way. We booked this room only 24 hours in advance and non smoking room types were available via the hotel directly. The property was very nice. They need some lessons in customer service. It appeared the front desk was not well run.”

  • They were very accommodating when I needed computer help. Valet service was fast.
  • While very helpful on a big problem, they were unable to simply provide creamer for the second night. Parking + Internet connection too expensive.

“I enjoyed my stay here' the beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again. Front desk, bar staff, and valet parking staff were especially friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff needs to be more consistent about stocking the amenities and policing bathroom cleanup (thoroughly remove hair from previous guest). Room and the rest of the hotel were on the whole quite clean, so this was a small matter. The extra charges for parking (required) and Internet service were too expensive.”

  • The hotels only parking was valet and it cost us an extra $18 per night and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get service, check-in was also very slow.

“The hotel staff was not very friendly. Couldn't find carts to load/unload our luggage. Hotels only parking was valet which we did not know prior to arriving and it cost us an extra $18 a night. Our bathroom shower did not drain well. We had to shut the shower off to let the water drain out so the tub would not overflow.”

  • The location to downtown attractions is fabulous. It is within walking distance.
  • The room have a thermostat that goes to 60 but our 2 rooms never got below 74 degrees! Too hot!

“Everything was marvelous except the room temperature. We moved to a new room thinking that it was our air conditioner but it also was hot. The thermostats can be set at 60 degrees but our rooms never fell below 74 degrees, though the thermostat says it did. We couldn't sleep because it was so hot.”

  • $18 per night to park and they didn't have enough staff to get the cars.

  • Staff was rude, maid service knocked three times in three hours early Sunday morning!

“Not a great place. Staff argued with me one night and the next morning, maids knocked on door three times (Sunday morning on Easter), starting at 8 am. Told them to come back and the third time they yelled through the door "Time to check out" though we had about ten minutes. Would not recommend this.”
