  • It is right on the water!!!
  • It is a little dark driving in to the city at night.

  • The view and the convenience to Hampton u. And the availability of parking.
  • The cost of the room did not coincide with the luxury of the hotel it should have been more updated for the cost of the stay.

“Conveniently located, wonderful view, too costly not enough lobby space to congregate or meet with friends, friendly staff, very accommodating staff, outdated furniture and decor, and restaurant is located in a very comfortable area.”

  • The sleep number bed was awesome and the room was beautiful!
  • Nothing.

“This hotel was great! The reception was friendly and the service throughout our stay was phenomenal. The room we received was beautiful and roomy. My favorite feature was the bed! This room had a "sleep number" bed and it was amazingly comfortable. When combined with the luxurious bedding, I got the best night's sleep I've ever had! I highly recommend this hotel!”

  • I stayed on the 9th floor which were the best rooms.
  • No double locks on doors.

  • The room had a nice view and was very spacious.
  • It was difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature.

“The hotel is located on the waterfront in a very quaint area. The lobby is very attractive and inviting. Parking in the adjacent parking garage is complementary, but a bit remote for a single female traveler. The room, city view, was quite spacious with a lovely view of the city and waterfront. Complementary bottled water is provided. The room and bathroom were spotless; however, the bathroom could use some updating. I tried to call room service several times on October 18, but I could not get anyone to answer the phone. I finally went down to the bar, ordered, listened to the 2 female servers complain about their work environment and had the best crab cake sandwich and fries that I have ever had. The following morning I called for room service and waited ten rings before the phone was answered. I was told that room service would call me back shortly. Within 10 minutes I received a call. My breakfast was delivered in a timely fashion, hot, appealing and delicious. My bill was placed under my door instructing me to call the front desk to let them know I was checking out. I was never able to get anyone to answer the phone, I left a message on the voice mail. I enjoyed my stay and would return to this hotel and also recommend it to others in the future.”

  • The hotel was great. The entertainment outside was marvelous. Where else can you dance in the streets?
  • Nothing -- the restaurant food was marvelous and inexpensive.

“Wow, this is one of the best "hotels" I have spent time in. I am usually seek out timeshares when I travel. I had a sleep number bed that rivaled the comfort of my own bed at home. In addition, I had a view of the water and the city (on the ninth floor) that was marvelous. The only complaint I had was the sun in my eyes when I woke up in the morning. I jumped up out of bed (caught another glimpse at the wonderful view), shut the curtains and returned to my sleep. I hate to give such a good review because others may want to visit there making it unavailable to me the next time I want to spend a wonderful time there.”

  • Beautiful hotel on the bay, pool, patio dinning.
  • Rooms need to be updated, especially the bathrooms.

“Great stay at this hotel. Beautiful hotel on the bay. Good size pool and hot tub. We enjoyed the outdoor dinning. The rooms were nice and clean, but the bathrooms need to be updated. lobby is beautiful and clean. Would stay at this hotel again.”

  • The price was great - why pay the same amount for a two star hotel?
  • Pool area could have been nicer.

“Hampton Radisson earned every star of the three star grading! We were very pleased when the staff offered to change our room from two double beds to a king sized bed. When we entered our room, we were impressed with the size and comfort. Best of all, we ordered room service twice for dinner and the food was FANTASTIC and very reasonably priced. Thank you!”

  • Beautiful view.
  • Air conditioning unit VERY LOUD-run down appearance of the entire establishment.

“My car was damaged in the parking garage. Very small parking lanes. No attendant on duty to help unload luggage in front of the hotel, esp. since parking deck was located next to hotel. No covered walkway between the hotel and the parking area- open to the weather.”

  • Service and amenities were more like a hotel than a motel - rare!
  • Elevator sometimes slow.

“It is unusual to find a hotel of this type in a harbor setting. The waterfront lends charm and liveliness to the area, especially good for nighttime entertainment in warm weather.”

  • Location was right in the heart of Hampton.
  • The room was filthy.

“Bathroom fixtures were green and moldy in spots floor, lamps were filthy and complaining to hotel did no good. Room service food was not prepared as advertised. I have stayed in $30 hotels that were in better shape than this $135 a night dive. Very disappointing!”

  • The view from the hotel was nice - overlooking the Harbor.
  • The lobby smelled like smoke. The bathroom was repulsive - unclean, stained/scratched tub, stains around toilet, fixtures old and worn, bed was saggy.

“It was a Radisson - thought I couldn't go wrong. The bathroom was so awful (stains, scratches, mildew, etc) we didn't shower - just took a sponge bath from the sink. The bed sagged pretty bad. It was a great disappointment. I would've tried to find another hotel, but there were many events going on in town and I didn't think we'd find a vacancy. Plus I figured I couldn't get my money back for the one we had.”

  • It was a beautiful location and close to many attractions in the Hampton/Newport News area.
  • We could not find a way to adjust the temperature of the room.

“Beautiful hotel right at the docks at the Chesapeake Bay. It is also next to the Virginia Air and Space Museum, which has an IMAX Theatre. Great location and extremely helpful staff.”

  • The location and facilities were very good. Staff was personable. Computer available in lobby.
  • Advertised HBO was not available in room. No in room movies available.

“I would consider staying here again. The quality was good on most accounts. I would have complained but it was so late in the evening when I got back to the room, I was sure they couldn't do anything about it at that point. They also did not have in room movies available, which is another thing that insomniacs look for in a hotel. When I stay at the Sheridan in Ratidan Center, NJ last year, I found a similar situation when there were a couple of problems with the room.”
