“Thinking about staying well don't. Me and my family stayed here while we were in Pigeon Forge and it was the worst you could get. Our room was covered in mold and piss-ants. The wall trimming kept on falling down and the toilet wouldn't even work properly. When it says that you can get free breakfast it lies because it advertises on the sign outside that you get biscuit and gravy with side order of bacon and whatever else then when you go and get it they tell you that you have to pay for the side orders and drinks. So when my family and I went to eat breakfast it came to $30.73 and we are a family of four. Then the night we stayed we had spilled two or three chips on the floor and about 30 minutes later ants were covering them up. So we called the manager and they acted like they had a problem with it. The rooms are run down and unhealthy to stay in. Another thing that upset us was that at 3:00 in the morning the staff started spray painting outside our room and the fumes were coming in our room and choking us. This place is the worst place I have ever stayed at and if you have little kids I wouldn't recommend staying there. The indoor jacuzzi is right next to where you eat breakfast at and you have no privacy what so ever. It was hot and muggy in there. The beds were hard to sleep on. Our room stayed hot and the air conditioning hardly even worked. While we stayed there it felt like people were watching you at all times. But like I said the rooms were nasty and moldy and it was a horrible stay.” Dec 3, 2008 by

“We will stay somewhere else next time. For the price it was an ok stay. I would have been upset if we had paid the published rates. My daughters enjoyed the jacuzzi pool.” Dec 2, 2008 by
Veronica from Hillsville,VA
“Dirty, beds was awlful, walls paper thin, hot or cold no comfortable settings! Messed up our rooms one was suppose to have 2 beds, so we had to change rooms. service was slow. Way over priced for what you get.” Nov 20, 2008 by

“Hotel was enjoyable, but needed a makeover. I was very satisfied and the staff was very helpful.” Sep 15, 2008 by

“Me and my husband stayed at The Grand Resort for the Fall Rod Run. We were very unhappy about the service we received the hotel is very out of date. The parking situation was crazy and the room was very unclean. I found a rough in our room, the bathroom was very dirty it was the 60's blue bath tub and toilet and the water did not drain out the shower I was standing in 5 inches of water while taking a shower. The toilet did not flush right. The maids service never came and cleaned our room. We had to request for more towels etc. I was very disappointed with the hotel and its services and staff. I do not recommend any one to ever stay here.” Sep 14, 2008 by

“Ok place to stay for a short stay. Beautiful river bank behind facility with ducks for children to feed. Hotel was poorly illuminated at night. They didn't turn on the exterior and pool lights until about 30 minutes after dark and turned them off a couple of hours later. Coming in late or leaving out early was eerie as the walks and allies were so dark.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Patti from Easley, SC
“Hotel lobby is beautiful. Rooms need to be updated!” Sep 10, 2008 by
Kevin from Lawrenceville, GA
“The hotel was your average economy hotel at first sight. The staff was ok until you have a problem. My wife lost the phone in the room when we checked out. We called and stopped by the hotel before leaving town. They were unable to find it. They called us at midnight that night to say they found it. They then must have lost it and claimed they never found it or called us.” Sep 8, 2008 by
Robert from Cincinnati, OH
“Hotel was nice and located near everything. Walking distance.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Timothy from Huntsville, AL
“It was dirty and dingy. The staff was hard to find and it seemed very unsafe. We went and stayed with family in another hotel.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Larry from Vincennes, IN
“For 5 people breakfast was over 8 dollars. I did like the hotel, however, I will not stay at this hotel again.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Linda from Green Valley, AZ
“This hotel is close to all the attractions that someone may want to go to while in the Pigeon Forge area.” Sep 4, 2008 by
April “This was a first family vacation traveling with our one year old daughter. The hotel was a nice place to stay. The hotel staff was very helpful. The first night we stayed in a room right by the pool and the game room and it was very loud. Because of the noise my 1 year child had a hard time staying asleep, she keep waking up. The next day I explained this to the front desk and they immediately moved us to a much quieter room for the remainder of our stay. The hotel itself was very clean and the pool was nice and heated. I enjoyed my stay and I think my family and I made some wonderful memories.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Lori from Wake Forest, NC
“The room we stayed in was in the lobby area and it was very noisy.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Mary from Augusta, GA
“It looks more grand than it is, I guess it was good for the money but I probably wouldn't stay there again.” Aug 16, 2008 by
Dan from Dunlap, TN
“The rooms need to be updated and every time we took a shower, the hot water would go in and out. No one wants to take a cold shower! But the hotel was located in the middle of Pigeon Forge and we had easy access to all the parks!” Aug 11, 2008 by
Greg from Winston Salem, NC
“The hotel has a nice pool and is very convenient to local attractions. The rooms were clean. The breakfast service was terrible. Do not waste your time here. Pancakes and biscuits are not worth the effort. The free price is made up by the cost of coffee and drinks. Service is terrible. My children had finished half their breakfast and we had no drinks. I got them myself and was reprimanded by the only waitress. I thought they were going to throw me out for trying to serve myself a beverage. Once I did this everyone else started doing it. They had one waitress for at least 75 guests.” Aug 8, 2008 by
Trish from East Bank
“Stay away, stay far, far away. Hotel was not clean or kept up. Tiles were missing from very many balconies to the point it looked dangerous. Our bathroom was not cleaned our entire stay. Musty smell overcome by too much deodorizer spray. Beds were so hard, we had to purchase inflatable swim rafts to put on bed. Bathtub was so small we hit our elbows. Both came away with a mysterious rash that continues to spread - doc not sure what it is. Indoor Jacuzzi pool was located adjacent to lobby and indoor cafe - with no privacy whatsoever between lobby or cafe. Enjoy the Jacuzzi while diners watch you - yeah! No movie channels, not even HBO or even the ability to view a video. Most of the plugs didn't work, so had trouble with my oxygen machine.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Kathy from Gruetli-Laager, TN
“It was very nice. I enjoyed my stay.” Jul 31, 2008 by

“Line 15 say's it all.” Jul 30, 2008 by

“Old smelly. Leaking faucets, missing ceiling tiles in lobby, dirty pool water, untrained staff. Will never go back.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Crystal from Berea, KY
“I will never ever stay here again. Management talked very poorly to me. Don't stay here! Management is rude and hotel is trashy!” Jul 30, 2008 by
Micheria from Woodworth, LA
“Too expensive for the hotel standards. Room was clean but only the bedding was updated. If it was cheaper, I might stay again.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Stefanie from Berea, KY
“I thought the hotel was a little pricey and don't think I will go to this again if I travel back down to Pigeon Forge. Although it was clean, including the bathroom, it was a little dated with the blue tub & toilet. There were three family reunions staying so the pool was over taken by those families, but it was clean.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Angela M. from Fort Payne, AL
“I will not stay here again. The hotel has horrible parking. The hotel layout is ridiculous. Our room was incredibly out dated decor. The shower was tiny and awkward to use. The toilet didn't flush well. The bed was uncomfortable. The bedspread was old and too used. Our first night there I woke in the middle of the night to use the restroom and the bathroom was soaked. The floor above us was leaking down and everything was wet. I had to use the restroom with water dripping on my head! We told the manager about it and they fixed it. We left to sight see and enjoy Pigeon Forge and when we returned it hadn't been fixed and the room was still leaking. We hated every minute of that hotel experience.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Larry from Rockwood, TN
“The hotel was recently remodeled however the lobby and guest rooms were still the same as 4 years ago. Everyone at the check in counter were unhappy and not being accommodated by the staff. My room wasn't available and when a customer canceled because they didn't have two rooms. Then I was told I could take the room with the one bed or go to a sister hotel.” Jul 18, 2007 by
Rob from Louisville, KY
“Awfully dirty with a staff that doesn't care about the guests. Clearly a hotel in decline. With many other choices nearby, don't stay here.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 17, 2007 by

“I'll never go to this hotel again. There was nothing grand about this hotel. The name is very misleading. It is a motel with no air-conditioned halls or conditioned elevators. The electricity in the rooms regularly failed. It took over 24 hours to get a second room key. They are not able to provide a messaging service and have no voice mail. The floor lamp in the room was broken and several of the other lights in the room didn't work. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but we found a cigarette butt under the in-wall air conditioning unit. There was never any ice in the ice makers. The front desk personnel were barely helpful and gave more attention to the phone than the customer standing in front of them. The pool was very dirty and didn't appear to be filtering properly. When several guests wanted to leave early due to the awful conditions, they would not allow a refund on future nights. We had a large group at this hotel for a dance convention. Without exception, everyone was disappointed with the hotel and the lack of service.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 7, 2007 by

“Our room was not clean, there was a dirty cup in the garbage, blanket smelled very strong of cologne, no doorknob on door leading upstairs to our room, (you had to put your fingers in a hole and pull), was told to come to counter to pick up a working remote instead of one being delivered. When we left, they were out of complaint cards. Called and reported my complaints and was sent a letter of apology.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Sep 10, 2006 by

“The rooms were dirty, pieces of aper under the bed, carpet was sticky, bathroom not that clean, majority of staff not very friendly. It was extremely hot in the hallways due to doors being kept open for some reason, cigarette butts lying around on the walkways. It does not meet the expectations one would envision when hearing the name Grand Resort Hotel and Convention Center. The on-line picture is very deceptive as it shows a beautiful hotel, and the real thing is not what one sees on-line. I would not stay at this hotel again.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.
