Nikki from Lowell,IN “Friendly staff - rooms a little small but clean. Wallpaper pealing off in bathroom. Very nice bed and linen.” Oct 3, 2009 by
Kim from Indianapolis,IN
“For the money I paid to stay in this hotel, I expected a clean comfortable room. The hardwood floor was dirty, there was hair on the shower walls, and mildew on the ceiling throughout the room. There were extension cords every where. At one point a lamp went out due to the mattress knocking out the plug. The bed was uncomfortable and did not provide a good night's rest. The check-in clerk was less thank friendly. However, the rest of the staff was very nice. The ice machine on our floor was broken and the only vending machine offered limited choices of drinks. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.” Oct 1, 2009 by
Jenny from Coloma,MI
“I liked the hotel. It was clean and upscale. The location was extremely convenient. We could walk everywhere. The hotel room was nice, but the hallways were always really smoky and we are non-smokers. And it was noisy all day (from the neighboring room), walls must not be thick enough. It wasn't as nice as I expected for the price we had to pay, but I'm sure that has a lot to do with the area. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I would recommend it.” Sep 26, 2009 by
Loretta, IA from Davenport,IA
“Perfect location to visit Niagra Falls on a budget. Hotel staff is very friendly.” Sep 14, 2009 by
Kalyan from Allentown,PA
“Conveniently located to Newark airport. They have shuttle too. However they charge extra for parking, which I guess is usual for all the hotels in that area. However they charge for internet too. We had two laptops to use and we have to pay twice the amount. The towel stand in the restroom was broken, I did not have time to call the customer service to ask for replacement. I expected more quality than that from a renaissance hotel. They did not have the shaving mirror, which i expected from a hotel like this. Carpets in the common area in the Aug 31, 2009 by

“Basically, this hotel meet my expectation for the hotel. Right price with 2 queen-size bed and a swimming pool my son requested. And it's reasonably close to the park.” Aug 25, 2009 by
Chang from Parsippany,NJ
“Room looks old & small, smell bad when just walked in. We thought we were in a motel. Window faces a wall. Went to their restaurant twice, and order a pizza delivery room service. Food was ok in restaurant, service needs improvement. Pizza was no good. There are many better deals of hotel out there, and we picked this one because of some other previous nice reviews. We are very very unsatisfied. This hotel is the worse Holiday Inn I've ever stayed. With the same amount of money we paid, we would go to Canada side for better quality.” Aug 19, 2009 by
Anita from West Olive,MI
“Served it's purpose” Aug 19, 2009 by
kelsey from Somerville,MA
“For the price I paid on priceline, this hotel was worth the money. It was clean and some things have been recently redone(laminate flooring, updated bedding) while other features were remnants of an older hotel (elevators, poor hallway ventilation.) The front desk staff was very friendly. The "concierge" (who I believe works for an independent tour company) was not very helpful. The breakfast buffet was atrocious.” Jul 5, 2009 by
Mitesh from San Ramon,CA
“I would not recommend this to any one. Horrible lobby, elevator not working, no bell desk, no trolly, bathrooms were old and had missing trash cans. Unfriendly staff, no sound proofing, dirty hallways, housekeeping forgot to put towels.” Jun 15, 2009 by
Patricia from Rio Rancho,NM
“Good hotel, especially for the money. We walked to the falls and had a great time on the Maid of the Mist.” Jun 12, 2009 by
Darci from Hamburg,PA
“Clean, friendly, very short distance to falls and all other attractions no need to drive.” May 26, 2009 by
Janelle from Burnsville,MN
“Not a bad hotel at all. Staff was good, location was good and it was nice that there was a parking lot.” Mar 3, 2009 by
Michelle Sperandeo from Kenmore,NY
“Very clean - close to all attraction without breaking the bank.” Feb 24, 2009 by
Faith from Dexter,NY
“This hotel is a good location to casino and parks. The happy hour was fantastic-great food and wine. The hot tub was not functioning properly then we heard staff the next day discussing how the water was bad. Didn't make us feel that it was safe to have been in then. The oddest part of the hotel is the laminated floors in the room. It is nice looking and probably less dusty, cleaner than carpet but it is louder from the neighboring rooms. The staff were very good from the check-in, the bartender, server, etc. The Common areas of the hotel were smoky too. I think a lot of smokers go to the casino and stay at this hotel.” Oct 29, 2008 by

“I'm really disappointed in this Holiday Inn this time. I'll never use the Holiday again. Many things to be improved.” Oct 2, 2008 by
Makarand
“If you compare this hotel with Ramada Inn or Best Western in the same locality, it is much better.” Sep 29, 2008 by
“The staff was really friendly, we arrived late around 1a.m, but had phoned ahead and as such had no issues checking in. The location is walking distance from the falls and we enjoyed it very much. One issue was that the cleaning staff got rid of my bathroom stuff- toothbrush, deodorant etc, a day before my actual departure, which I didn't realize until the morning of my departure.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Bill from Oracle, AZ
“Hotel is very old, needs to be torn down and rebuilt rather than spending the money to patch it up. Bathroom smelled of mold and wallpaper was coming off in many places because of the lack of proper ventilation. Was not pleased with this Hotel.” May 26, 2008 by
Teri from Carson City, NV
“The location was wonderful. Most of the staff was very helpful. Overall a little dirty but we did enjoy our stay.” Feb 29, 2008 by
Jason from Madison, WI
“Generally staff is good for service, but the quality of hotel is not 3-star level.” Feb 29, 2008 by
Peter from Albany, NY
“Location was perfect! Lots of parking space. Elevators need some TLC.” Feb 24, 2008 by
Bernadette from Mississauga, ON CA
“The hotel was old and needed to be upgraded especially the bathrooms. The bed was uncomfortable. The location was good and the restaurant was good and very accommodating.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Kelly from Niagara Falls, NY
“It was ok, I wish I could of gone swimming, and got better sleep.” Feb 12, 2008 by
Sally from Rochester, NY
“I would never stay here or suggest this hotel to anyone else.” Jan 21, 2008 by
Linda from Ballston Spa, NY
“I really enjoyed the room .The view was pretty and my room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful oh and the bathroom was really clean as well. I wish I could tell about the pool but when I got to the hotel I literally had to get in the bed which was really comfy by the way but I got so sick. I had the stomach bug and there I stayed for the night.” Jan 15, 2008 by
Faeza from Waterloo, ON CA
“Having a pool, room service should not be the only criteria. General cleanliness and hygiene should rate higher. Rooms need a thorough revamp. Staff was amazing. Decent breakfast.” Jan 8, 2008 by
Dane from Cambridge, ON CA
“Located close to falls -not overly clean on the outside although it was off-season. Bathrooms were old looking, small and not overly pleasant. Definitely not a 3 star hotel - more of a two star at best.” Dec 20, 2007 by
Jeanne from Nutley, NJ
“Not in an area conducive to taking a walk.” Dec 20, 2007 by
Sheri from Waterford, MI
“Rooms had cheap hardwood floors so you hear everyone over you if they walked in heals or ran around. Only place Ive ever been with wood floors in the bedroom.” Dec 9, 2007 by
Lynn from Stratford, ON CA
“We had 21 family members do a weekend getaway. We very much enjoyed our stay, staff was very friendly and the hotel was a very great choice.” Dec 4, 2007 by
Larry from Glen St. Mary, FL
“This is the worst of the worst old smelly hotel Ive ever been in. We actually had a rat in our room.” Nov 29, 2007 by
Tom from Fremont, CA
“It is a good place for travel with kids. Have fun in the poor. Location is close to the fall. Good for the price and location if you can not cross the board to Canada.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Matt from Hopewell Junction, NY
“I have heard that there are rooms that have not been renovated, and that those should be avoided. As far as the renovated rooms go, they are beautiful they have laminate wood flooring, big comfortable beds, a nice leather chair, and plenty of little supplies. The bathrooms left much to be desired; the shower was kind of small, and kind of old looking. The lobby has a very nice clean architecture with leather chairs and nice tiles. It has a very modern lounge style of decorating throughout the hotel. It's no elegant Brock plaza grand hotel entrance like across the river, but it's clean modern and very nice. Its location is perfect for those visiting the falls on the American side, right next door to a little boardwalk looking area. Hard rock is one block away, and the river is just out of view. I'm sure some of the top floor rooms have river views though. My overall opinion is do not hesitate to stay in this hotel, but their inflated in season price of 160 a night is too much.” Nov 8, 2007 by
Rob from Fort Wayne, IN
“Picture on website were not of this hotel! Very misleading, lobby was small, pool was old.” Nov 7, 2007 by
Steve from Lockport, NY
“Beds very comfy, close to casino and restaurants.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Cathy from Goleta, CA
“Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Room service food was great and arrived quickly. Location was great. Adjacent to Niagara Falls.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Carrie from La Crosse, WI
“On the high side of adequate. Helpful front desk. Nice sandwich bar in lobby for a quick snack.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Adrian from Union City, NJ
“The hotel was at a perfect location, the staff was very friendly and helpful, free parking is always a plus, but the odor in the room was questionable. Besides that, everything was great. No major complaints.” Oct 31, 2007 by
Walt from Scarborough, ON CA
“Overall nice, but with a few caveats. My room had laminate flooring, which was fine until it got a bit wet near the bathroom very slippery. The pool was terrible. The hot tub did not have enough water and the jets were spraying everywhere they topped it off, but then it could hardly be called a "hot" tub, at least until the water warmed up. Staff was very friendly overall however, and the location in Niagara was great.” Oct 31, 2007 by
Pat from Walton, ON CA
“Nice hotel for short stays, clean and reasonably priced.” Oct 30, 2007 by
Ray from Egg Harbor Twp, NJ
“The room condition dictates a 2.5 star rating at best. Although some standard hotel upgrades have been made (round shower bar, upgraded shower head and 27" TV), overall this motel was very tired and in need of cosmetic sprucing up. Location is good and the front desk staff was excellent. Just washing and/or replacing the bedspreads and throw pillows would have increased my opinion of this facility.” Oct 25, 2007 by
Jim from Forsyth, MO
“The Sheraton was much nicer than we expected for the price we paid. We could hear naira river/falls in the lobby and easily walked to the park and down to the falls. Desk and maintenance staff was helpful with tourist questions. The room was beautiful, though the bathroom was a little small. We would definitely spend the night there again.” Oct 25, 2007 by
Ed from Toronto, ON CA
“I would never choose to stay at this hotel again! This hotel needs major renovations and should not be rated at 3 star. It does not even compare to the Marriott in nearby Amherst, NY a true 3 star hotel. This is the second time this year that I was disappointed with my accommodation, the last time it was another Sheraton/Star wood property.” Oct 21, 2007 by
Kate from Garfield Heights, OH
“The hotel room was wonderful, newly remodeled with wooden floors and goose down comforter and pillows. It was in walking distance to the Seneca casino and the falls. It was a quick drive to the rainbow bridge to take you into Canada. The dining room was okay, but had a snack bar in the lobby that made sandwiches and coffee and pastries.” Oct 17, 2007 by
Mary from Galesburg, IL
“The hotel was so noisy. If we hadn't been completely exhausted from a day of driving and sightseeing, we would've been kept awake by the noise. We were pretty disappointed in the quality of this hotel.” Oct 14, 2007 by
Hy from Toronto, ON CA
“Mediocre.” Oct 13, 2007 by
Cathy from Toronto, ON CA
“The hotel itself was nice. The actual lobby was very dark and not clean. The front desk staff was accommodating. The room itself was well equipped and had lots of towels soaps shampoo gel etc. They even brought up extra pillows and made up the pull out couch that was nice. The location was great but the lobby could have been a bit more inviting. Also the front entrance was very institutional not welcoming at all.” Oct 8, 2007 by
Jerry from Massillon, OH
“Decent hotel, however they put me into a handicap accessible room. That was not a problem except for the bathroom. I can't see where a person in a wheel chair would like water running in the middle of the room. Seemed dangerously slippery and it had a potential electrical hazard. Hotel never asked me how my room was. By looking at the bathroom door, this is not the first time this happened. The door was swollen and had mold at the bottom. The room didn't seem very clean either. Not the maid's fault.” Oct 5, 2007 by
Ted from Cambridge, ON CA
“We were extremely disappointed with having to stay in a smelly smoking room.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
