  • Most of the staff was friendly.
  • Check in person was very short and not friendly.

“For the money I paid to stay in this hotel, I expected a clean comfortable room. The hardwood floor was dirty, there was hair on the shower walls, and mildew on the ceiling throughout the room. There were extension cords every where. At one point a lamp went out due to the mattress knocking out the plug. The bed was uncomfortable and did not provide a good night's rest. The check-in clerk was less thank friendly. However, the rest of the staff was very nice. The ice machine on our floor was broken and the only vending machine offered limited choices of drinks. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

  • Extremely close to the tourist attraction. Could walk to everything.
  • Expensive for the quality of the hotel. And really smoky even though we had a non-smoking room.

“I liked the hotel. It was clean and upscale. The location was extremely convenient. We could walk everywhere. The hotel room was nice, but the hallways were always really smoky and we are non-smokers. And it was noisy all day (from the neighboring room), walls must not be thick enough. It wasn't as nice as I expected for the price we had to pay, but I'm sure that has a lot to do with the area. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I would recommend it.”

  • Neat
    and comfortable.
  • No mirror for close shaving. Extra charge for parking. Extra charge for internet.

“Conveniently located to Newark airport. They have shuttle too. However they charge extra for parking, which I guess is usual for all the hotels in that area. However they charge for internet too. We had two laptops to use and we have to pay twice the amount. The towel stand in the restroom was broken, I did not have time to call the customer service to ask for replacement. I expected more quality than that from a renaissance hotel. They did not have the shaving mirror, which i expected from a hotel like this. Carpets in the common area in the
8th floor looked a little older.”

  • Location good at river but don't see a bit of the river no view not even falls.
  • Over priced not a Holiday Inn quality.

“Room looks old & small, smell bad when just walked in. We thought we were in a motel. Window faces a wall. Went to their restaurant twice, and order a pizza delivery room service. Food was ok in restaurant, service needs improvement. Pizza was no good. There are many better deals of hotel out there, and we picked this one because of some other previous nice reviews. We are very very unsatisfied. This hotel is the worse Holiday Inn I've ever stayed. With the same amount of money we paid, we would go to Canada side for better quality.”

“For the price I paid on priceline, this hotel was worth the money. It was clean and some things have been recently redone(laminate flooring, updated bedding) while other features were remnants of an older hotel (elevators, poor hallway ventilation.) The front desk staff was very friendly. The "concierge" (who I believe works for an independent tour company) was not very helpful. The breakfast buffet was atrocious.”

  • Sign for entrance wasn't very visible and had to circle block. Not a big deal though.

  • Staff were very good.
  • The laminated floors in rooms rather than carpeting. Too loud.

“This hotel is a good location to casino and parks. The happy hour was fantastic-great food and wine. The hot tub was not functioning properly then we heard staff the next day discussing how the water was bad. Didn't make us feel that it was safe to have been in then. The oddest part of the hotel is the laminated floors in the room. It is nice looking and probably less dusty, cleaner than carpet but it is louder from the neighboring rooms. The staff were very good from the check-in, the bartender, server, etc. The Common areas of the hotel were smoky too. I think a lot of smokers go to the casino and stay at this hotel.”

  • Very friendly staff and excellent location.

“The staff was really friendly, we arrived late around 1a.m, but had phoned ahead and as such had no issues checking in. The location is walking distance from the falls and we enjoyed it very much. One issue was that the cleaning staff got rid of my bathroom stuff- toothbrush, deodorant etc, a day before my actual departure, which I didn't realize until the morning of my departure.”

  • Friendly staff, only because they were happy to still have a job. hotel was sold to new corporation.
  • Dirty, dusty, noisy, hot, smelly, unpleasant, moldy, and just plain uncomfortable.

“Hotel is very old, needs to be torn down and rebuilt rather than spending the money to patch it up. Bathroom smelled of mold and wallpaper was coming off in many places because of the lack of proper ventilation. Was not pleased with this Hotel.”

  • I loved the view!
  • I think it should be baby proofed things need to be up high there just has to be a better system for travelers with toddlers.

“I really enjoyed the room .The view was pretty and my room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful oh and the bathroom was really clean as well. I wish I could tell about the pool but when I got to the hotel I literally had to get in the bed which was really comfy by the way but I got so sick. I had the stomach bug and there I stayed for the night.”

  • The beds were very comfortable, and the lobby was very nice. Location was key.
  • The room service never made our bed, but did clean the room. The pool area was run down and needed a paint job.

“I have heard that there are rooms that have not been renovated, and that those should be avoided. As far as the renovated rooms go, they are beautiful they have laminate wood flooring, big comfortable beds, a nice leather chair, and plenty of little supplies. The bathrooms left much to be desired; the shower was kind of small, and kind of old looking. The lobby has a very nice clean architecture with leather chairs and nice tiles. It has a very modern lounge style of decorating throughout the hotel. It's no elegant Brock plaza grand hotel entrance like across the river, but it's clean modern and very nice. Its location is perfect for those visiting the falls on the American side, right next door to a little boardwalk looking area. Hard rock is one block away, and the river is just out of view. I'm sure some of the top floor rooms have river views though. My overall opinion is do not hesitate to stay in this hotel, but their inflated in season price of 160 a night is too much.”

  • The staff was amazing very friendly.
  • The pool and hot tub were old, in need of paint, and the hot tub was spraying water all over the place.

“Overall nice, but with a few caveats. My room had laminate flooring, which was fine until it got a bit wet near the bathroom very slippery. The pool was terrible. The hot tub did not have enough water and the jets were spraying everywhere they topped it off, but then it could hardly be called a "hot" tub, at least until the water warmed up. Staff was very friendly overall however, and the location in Niagara was great.”

  • The room was filthy. Bedspreads and throw pillows were stained and either needed to be washed or replaced.

“The room condition dictates a 2.5 star rating at best. Although some standard hotel upgrades have been made (round shower bar, upgraded shower head and 27" TV), overall this motel was very tired and in need of cosmetic sprucing up. Location is good and the front desk staff was excellent. Just washing and/or replacing the bedspreads and throw pillows would have increased my opinion of this facility.”

  • Very clean, beautiful room, beautiful room furniture, friendly staff, close to naira falls.
  • Some disinfectant/cleaner smell in room, small bathroom.

“The Sheraton was much nicer than we expected for the price we paid. We could hear naira river/falls in the lobby and easily walked to the park and down to the falls. Desk and maintenance staff was helpful with tourist questions. The room was beautiful, though the bathroom was a little small. We would definitely spend the night there again.”

  • His restaurant was okay, but they did have a snack bar in the lobby.

“The hotel room was wonderful, newly remodeled with wooden floors and goose down comforter and pillows. It was in walking distance to the Seneca casino and the falls. It was a quick drive to the rainbow bridge to take you into Canada. The dining room was okay, but had a snack bar in the lobby that made sandwiches and coffee and pastries.”

  • They gave us a select floor and also a room with a nice view of the falls.
  • When we arrived they did not have a room with 2 double beds.

“The hotel itself was nice. The actual lobby was very dark and not clean. The front desk staff was accommodating. The room itself was well equipped and had lots of towels soaps shampoo gel etc. They even brought up extra pillows and made up the pull out couch that was nice. The location was great but the lobby could have been a bit more inviting. Also the front entrance was very institutional not welcoming at all.”

  • Bathroom shower overflowed in bathroom main room area.

“Decent hotel, however they put me into a handicap accessible room. That was not a problem except for the bathroom. I can't see where a person in a wheel chair would like water running in the middle of the room. Seemed dangerously slippery and it had a potential electrical hazard. Hotel never asked me how my room was. By looking at the bathroom door, this is not the first time this happened. The door was swollen and had mold at the bottom. The room didn't seem very clean either. Not the maid's fault.”
