• Modern, upscale, small, but cozy, clean, safe, and great location.

“If you like clean, modern, quiet boutique hotels; then 60 Thompson is the place for you! It's not a huge room, but who needs a big hotel room when you have NYC right outside? It has all the amenities you need (including free wireless internet) and access to the rooftop pool and bar. I had a very comfortable sleep on the king sized bed, and the bathroom, though small, was beautifully designed.”

• The rooftop bar and the location in Soho.
• The downstairs bar was very loud until 2 am and rooms are right above it.

• Bathroom layout was impressive. Nice rooftop bar.
• Pricey, but that is expected.

“The rooftop bar is a must. Also close to Felix which was a good bar. The room was clean and very functional. I would definitely use this hotel again, I like the area.”

• The service was amazing! From first to last, every little detail!
• Air conditioner did not cool sufficiently.

“This hotel had the best service I have had in several years of traveling! I was disappointed with the air conditioning, but other than that it was an awesome experience!”

• Great roof deck, quiet room, and cool patio restaurant.
• Staff was s bit snobbish when we asked to extend our stay.

“Great place to stay if you want to explore Soho - small rooms, but they are well organized, stylish, and very clean. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive, and with the restaurant and roof deck, we could easily spend the whole day on the property.”

• The staff (save for the bellboys) was atrocious. Rooms noisy and tiny (even for NYC).

“I've stayed at some of the "finest" hotels in New York, including the Ritz, Four Seasons, TriBeca Grand, The Muse, SoHo Grand, St. Regis. Some were obviously better than others. But I will tell you unequivocally that 60 Thompson is nothing more than a "want to be" "poser" little hotel. The worst of the worst. First the good: We loved the bellboys! Now the awful: The front desk staff had a condescending, superior, "too hip for you" attitude that made for an exceedingly unpleasant arrival and stay. I've come to expect that kind of vibe from the staff at these boutique hotels, but these women took it to a whole new level. No smile, no eye contact, no help. All their energy was directed at trying to make the guest feel unworthy of them and the hotel. They were almost comical. The room (mine was a king deluxe) was teeny. Again, something I've come to expect from boutique hotels. But come on! I'd take a cot at the Y over this room. And the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Beyond that, every little hiccup could be heard from the adjoining room and hallway- paper thin walls. I could continue with all the things that were wrong with this place, but instead I'll sum up: If you read a good review of 60 Thompson, ignore it. It must have been written by one of the hotel employees. I mean it. I would never stay here again. For any rate. Under any circumstances.”

• The staff was incredibly friendly, and very accommodating!
• Beautiful rooftop bar, but a little overly trendy and the plastic wine glasses were not so great!

“Overall, my stay at Sixty Thompson was quite exceptional. The rooms were spacious, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the location was perfect! I will definitely return!”

• Wireless Internet was spotty.

“Modern, yet reserved oasis in Soho with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom was spacious with one of the best showers I have experienced in New York. Abundant shopping, dining and activities within a few blocks.”

• It was in a quiet neighborhood that was still very accessible by metro.
• There wasn't anything that was a problem.

“The hotel is in a wonderful location. It's off the main drag and offers peace and quiet yet is very close to the metro making sightseeing very easy. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful. The hotel has a very comfortable lounge area to relax in on a raining day and a gorgeous restaurant. I would highly recommend Sixty Thompson.”

• Clean, romantic, friendly.
• Bed was hard to sleep in. Body ache in the morning.

“We had 2 rooms and 3 person per room. This hotel could not accommodated 3 person. They only had one queen size bed. No room for roll on or cots. It is good hotel but only for single or couples.”

• Website should have mentioned the bar was closed.

“Prime location, in the heart of SoHo and close to the subway. The 2nd floor bar is nice but the rooftop bar doesn't open until May 2006 (for the summer months). The rooms were large and clean and a great bathroom.”

• Had to pay extra for a double bed room.

“Very well located, near a subway station, several good restaurants and boutiques nearby. A couple of convenience stores 3 blocks away. Would definitely stay again there.”

• The staff was very attentive.
• The furniture and TV were in need of repair.

“I pulled up in front of the hotel and 3 handsome young men clad in navy pea coats with Bluetooth headsets were immediately outside my car. They swept my belongings away and directed me to check in. The room was comfortable, though the dresser drawers did not close properly and the TV had some problems with certain channels. The bathroom was palatial for New York. It was in a fabulous location for romantic walks through Soho. The concierge was delightful and very helpful throughout our stay.”

• Friendly & courteous staff, great location, big bathroom.
• Very late turn down service (9:30pm), noisy industrial toilet, hallway foot traffic loud, thin walls.

“Loved this hotel despite a few small things that really did not detract from the great time we had. The staff was very friendly and professional. We were even accommodated with an early check in time. I would be happy to be able to stay here in the future!!”

• I put this up there with my top 3 hotel stays ever... and I travel A LOT - FANTAASTIC hotel and staff!!! A +++
• There seemed to be some noise and what sounded like constructions sounds outside my room in the late morning hours - probably the cleaning staff.

“It was difficult to get to the hotel, but once we did make it, the stay was very pleasant. The hotel staff was exceptionally accommodating regarding our entire experience with them. I would definite stay again.”

• Too "cool" for real people.

“For Manhattan, the room was spacious (although shower, no tub). Everything was new and clean. Service people were friednly and tried to be helpful, even though they missed a few "facts" enquired about.”
