• Fantastic location and larger room size than most NYC hotels.
• Lobby area non friendly atmosphere.

“Great location and easy access to everything you want to do! Large, well decorated rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Watch out for super inflated show tickets from the ticket desk.”

“Location was great. Check in process is too long, lines of people trying to check in, no where to sit while waiting. Rooms (our party had 2) were worn (wall paper peeling, poor lighting, stained carpet, no blankets in rooms) reminded me of a motel!”

• The hotel is old and in need of renovation to be 4 star.

“The location of this hotel is ideal if you want theatre, dining, shopping etc. Our room was large by NY standards but was not as clean as I would have liked. Extremely hard mattress, no coffee, old bathroom in need of renovation, huge grease stain (like 18") on the carpet by the door, but very friendly, helpful staff.”

• We had a lot of problems with the hotel. To the point I think we should get a refund.

• Impersonal lobby -not unlike an airport.

“Great location, room was comfortable, although a little dark. Liked the iron and ironing board. Bathroom was nice, bed ok. Furnishings were a little down market for a 4* (maybe not for a New York hotel). Would stay there again because of location, but would request a room on a higher floor -I was on the 22nd.”

• Great location for sightseeing. Nice bathrooms.
• Room was plain.

“Great location for sightseeing, although the street its front door is on is a bit skuzzy. Front desk was very accommodating, letting us check in early and giving us a room with a view when we asked. Room was sort of plain but was large for Times Square area and was clean. Definitely not a four star, but a strong star or a weak 3-1/2 at best.”

“Not what I expected for a 4 Star Hotel. Rooms are in need of renovation. Looks as if there was a cheap paint job on the old doors, baseboards and jambs. Carpets are old, dirty and stained. Had to wear sandals in the room at all times, 4 star?. Rooms smells old and the furniture is all beat up. Shower is tight and there is no vanity just a pedestal sink. Parking charge of $28 a day is crazy. We had a fax sent to us 3 times and we never received it. The only good thing is the free internet.”

“Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. It was clean, nice and we stayed in a room that was recently remodeled and upgraded. They said not all the rooms had been upgraded yet though. The concierge was very helpful since we had never been to NYC before.”

“The hotel is right in the heart of Times Square so it was perfect for my needs. The front desk staff was nice; however, shortly after I checked in someone knocked for a second and then unlocked and walked right into my room and said she was checking to make sure everything was ok. The room service staff was not the greatest, either. The facilities were decent; however, I thought that they were a bit shabby for the price. I have stayed in better accommodations in New York but it was fine for a short stay.”

“The hotel was the best! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. The staff was very courteous, helpful and efficient. It's in the heart of the Theatre District, if that's your destination.”

“We had stayed here previously but were upgraded to the Premier Hotel this time. The service was great. The extra touches were impressive and it was fabulous to have a full size bathroom in NYC. The personnel was friendly and went out of their way to give us personal attention.”

• Gave us a non smoking room and it reeked of smoke.

“We have stayed at this hotel in the past and have been satisfied with its service and its location. The hotel has improved with the addition of the restaurant although highly over priced. Another positive is a Starbucks right outside the door and The Red Flame Diner which is very affordable for a quick bite to eat and is located a couple of blocks away. The staff was friendly and helpful.”

• The location was perfect and the water in our bathroom was nice and hot!
• The dirty carpet. They need to invest in a carpet shampooer.

“This hotel was within walking distance of everywhere we were interested in Central Park, Madison Ave. shopping and Times Square and Penn Station. We never needed a taxi or the subway. The front desk staff was very, very nice.”

• I loved everything about this hotel. It surpassed any and all my expectations. I would love to stay there again. I've told everyone how nice it was!
• There was nothing bad at this hotel.

“I was very impressed at first sight-then found out that they had complimentary upgraded our room, to our surprise. It was fantastic, and the location was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more; everything and everyone was above and beyond anything I had imagined. Thanks for a great trip.”

• Premier floor upgrade very nice, overall very clean.
• Check in line very lengthy, had to change rooms as room promised not available, thus the welcomed upgrade.

“While the hotel in a very busy location, when inside felt away from the street chaos. Well appointed and clean rooms. We had an upgrade to the premier towers which afforded a concierge floor for complimentary drinks and breakfast - very, very nice. Original room we went to suppose to have 2 double beds or a king which we would have accepted. When we arrived at that first room it was very, very clear that they were 2 single beds- which was disappointing. the hotel had no trouble at this point in upgrading us when we called the front desk to tell them this not acceptable another guest on the check in line said he always had a good stay but never had a seem less check-in and he had been there 5 times! Check in somehow an issue, lines long and computers slow to help staff find availability. It took us close to an hour to check in with reception staff running all about. But all in all, it worked out well. In short, we would try it again.”

• Location was excellent, room was quiet.
• Bed was very hard, TV cable reception poor, no wireless internet.

“This hotel is great if location is the most important thing to you. The room is clean, and lobby area is attractive. The bed was very uncomfortable compared to other hotels I've stayed at, and there were no extra pillows. There was no refrigerator in the room, although they would bring one if requested. There was an ice bucket in the room, but there were no ice machines. You had to request that ice be brought to your room. There was no coffee maker either, which seems pretty standard these days. Overall, a great location, but the actual time we spent in the room wasn't great.”

• Upscale hotel, good location, good sized room for NY.
• Arrived very late and only smoking room was left after making a non-smoking reservation, very disappointed.

“I like the hotel, have stayed there before, but was disappointed when I arrived very late and had to take a smoking room after calling the hotel to let them know I would be delayed and to confirm my non-smoking reservation. I would stay again, just not arriving late!”

• Internet did not work.

“The lobby, elevator and rooms were tastefully updated, modern looking. Staff was friendly and helpful. Concierge restaurant recommendations were always good. Corner room on 21st fl. with windows on both sides was outstanding. Only complaint is that the internet was not working. Spent a lot of time making phone calls to hotel staff and their outside tech support for help.”

• This hotel was very quiet once inside your room. Close to theatres and restaurants. Clean and comfortable rooms.
• Hotel accommodates the largest convention centre in NYC. The lobby was always congested with large groups and check ins had large line-ups.

“I would definitely stay here again for the convenience to all the happening spots of NY. Great pivot point for accessing all other areas of NY. Restaurants and bars are great. Open late. Should you want to see the action it is right outside your door (Times Square). The hotel provides very quiet and well appointed rooms. Staff could learn to drop their attitude at the last subway stop and be more pleasant. Certainly wasn't their forte!”

• The staff from the time we pulled up to just before we got into our car was so helpful and friendly, great view.
• Lobby and common areas dark, cold.

“I found almost all of the staff very friendly. A great location to mid Town/Times Square and 2 blocks from the Subway. The lobby was cold and the room was small, fridge full of overpriced snacks. I would prefer an empty fridge for our preferred cold drinks and snacks. A great dive across the street for a drink. Nice, but not wow.”

• The hotel is in a great location and the beds great, Housekeeper very friendly.
• Notice on room fridge says it is not for personal use and you are not to move or remove any products or you will be charged. Seemed very unfriendly.

“Great location next to Times Square and great beds. Hotel seemed very dark and seemed used often by business people as well as tourists. The room was adequate and clean but more a 3 star hotel then a 4. Maybe it is NY, but staff seemed professional and efficient, but not friendly. The housekeeper however always had a smile for us and would help us anyway possible. I didn't realize how important smiles are to me.”

• Twin beds, really. Do you often have 10-year-old guests sharing a room.

“The Millennium Broadway was a great choice. It was in a fabulous location in Times Square, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and quiet. I do believe that a renovation wouldn't hurt. The bathroom was pretty old and dingy but overall, we were satisfied. We understand that space is quite scarce in Manhattan, but the room was tiny. And twin beds were quite a surprise. I haven't slept in one of these since I was about 8. But it was comfortable and convenient, so I'm willing to forgive it and say that we'd stay there again.”

• Bedding and pillows were very comfortable and clean.
• Desk did not have lamp plugged in and cord was too short to reach outlet.

“Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Hotel is in the middle of Times Square which is a great location to stay in NYC. Desk was in a strange place with phone cord strung across floor and the lamp cord was too short to be plugged in. This was frustrating since I was there for work and needed to use the desk every night. Other than the desk situation, I would recommend it.”
