• Fantastic location. 100 feet and you were in the middle of Times Square!
• Clean, but very tired and worn furniture & carpeting.

“Millennium staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Asked them for referrals a few times and if the staff member did not know, they got someone for you that did. The hotel room that I stayed in was acceptably clean. However, the furniture seemed to very dated. The television was very old. Exercise facilities were excellent. As far as location goes, you could not be more in the middle of Times Square.”

• Rooms have been renovated within past 3 years.
• No complaints!

“I had stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and the rooms needed to be renovated. It was a treat to stay in the new rooms, especially when I asked for a view and they put me on the 50th Floor in a corner room! Staff was great! Location is great!”

• Mediocre rooms; minimal amenities.

“I have no idea why this hotel rates 4 stars. The rooms are older and sparse, with outdated TV. and clock. The mattress pad was threadbare and the only amenities were shampoo, lotion, gel, and conditioner (we used one up and it was not replaced). The staff is friendly, but certainly not overly helpful. Even the hotel information book was stuffed in a folder, with the pages out of order. If you expect 4-star surroundings and service, don't go here.”

• Communication with staff bad, we requested a refrigerator prior to leaving and again upon arrival, we had to call housekeeping for the refrigerator & coffee.

“Wonderful location, room was large bathroom also nice, housekeeping left a litter to be desired, did not refill when coffee was low and gave us three towels one day and two the next. When you have to make the same request more than once not good. We were on the three star side not the premier side which is 4 stars think rating needs to be changed.”

• The lobby was very utilitarian and not upscale. Lots of bags stacked all over the place.

“This is a fine hotel for business or recreational travel. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It is a solid 3 star and I can only imagine the price is tied to the location, next to toys r us.”

• Great location in the heart of the NYC theatre district.
• The front desk was slow and at times non-responsive to requests.

“The room that I stayed in with my brother was clean and comfortable. The single beds were warn (one had a small canyon in the middle of it) and needed replacing, but the rest of the room was magnificent. The view of Times Square was nice as well as our location on the 49th floor. Overall, I would stay at the same hotel.”

• Good situation, lovely view and helpful staff.
• We enjoyed our stay and there was nothing we really didn't like except they often didn't understand our accents - South African.

“Its a very busy hotel but the concierge and all staff most helpful. Their security people and switchboard most efficient. I would highly recommend it, especially for its position near the theatres.”

• Great location. Manager sent a bottle of wine to our room for our anniversary. Nice touch.
• Small cramped rooms, first room they sent us to was already occupied.

“Great Times square location, close to theatres, dining, etc. It was our 25th anniversary. the manager sent a bottle of wine to the room which was a nice gesture. Staff seemed indifferent. Sent us to an occupied room the first time we checked in, then sent us to a much smaller room.”

• Weak restaurant and bar area. Very dark inside. Very crowded in the lobby.

“Very spacious room with a modern decor. The hotel is right in the heart of times square and the theater district. I would recommend this hotel if you want the hustle and bustle of times square but is you want something more low key and less "touristy", then pick somewhere else. Overall, a good experience.”

• The view and location were outstanding.
• The service at a single star hotel is better, all around.

“This hotel is set up to be an upscale hotel, however, the service and housekeeping brings down anything the environment contributes. On arrival nobody helped with my bags or guided me through the registration procedures. The front desk staff is less than helpful, and you have to wait in line for 20 minutes to check in. My initial room had stains and what looked to me to be bodily fluids all over the carpet, curtains, and furniture. Additionally there was a light switch with wires exposed. I called housekeeping and asked for it to be tended to in the morning. I returned the next day and my room was barely straightened; I was only given 1 wash cloth, and the empty lotion was returned to the display instead of being replaced. I went down to the front desk to complain because I was staying an additional 6 nights. The lady I spoke with was polite and offered to move me. The new room was clean and the view was tremendous. The housekeeping remained terrible. A phone call came from housekeeping saying that the housekeeper reported that I had the do not disturb sign up and could not clean. I didn't even have a 'do not disturb' sign in the room. They sent someone up in the afternoon, who was very sweet, and she also gave me a 'do not disturb' sign. I would see glasses on the hall floor in the morning, and they would still be there in the afternoon. I actually watched the housekeeper step over a glass and kept going. That is how terrible housekeeping was.”

• Hands down the bed was the best thing about the hotel room, it was super comfortable and had loads of pillows.
• The staff was not the most pleasant and the TV wasn't working properly.

“Great location and not too outrageous a price make this an upscale hotel that is easy to recommend for the Times Square area. However, customer service could be improved and not all the rooms have the latest accoutrements. Could be more done for the price paid to make it an "experience" rather than just a place to sleep for the night.”

• Great king bed and nice view from corner room.
• Old TV, bedside table was old fridge.

“After reading the customer reviews I didn't expect much, but the room was great. Large (very large for NYC), nicely furnished and comfortable. Great view from the corner room. Was also very happy that they could accommodate my request for a king, non-smoking room. TV needs updating and internet access was slow. Great location though and a generally great experience.”

• Location was fantastic within walking distance to many major attractions.
• Bathroom light was not reliable.

“I would definitely stay at Millennium Broadway hotel again. Our check-in was rapid/smooth. I think the front desk attendant was tired pretty impersonal. Very spacious with king bed. View not great but we were never in room. 1 block or less from Times Square approximately 5 blocks from Rockefeller Center. Housekeeping took my pillowcase mistakenly for one of theirs and I reported it. The staff investigated the situation but I have not received the pillowcase yet.”

• Older decor and fixtures in room.

“This hotel was given a 4 star, I consider it more of a 3 star. This is only because the decor and fixtures seem a little old, however in great condition and clean. The TV in our room was older, not a flat screen. The room and bathroom was very large for NYC, and our room was clean and comfortable. We felt safe in the area and in the hotel. There is only one dining option on the property. There is a Starbucks next door, and several delis across the street. All of the staff we had contact with were 4 star quality! They were friendly, helpful and were quick and efficient. Perhaps the best thing about this hotel is the location! Only 1/2 block away from Times Square. It is within walking distance to most Broadway theatres, subway stations, Gray Line ticket office/bus stop, Rockefeller Center, and Grand Central Station. Overall, I was very pleased with the Millenium Broadway Hotel, and I would stay there again. It was excellent for the price.”

“They tried to give me a room with 2 single beds at checking, but I persisted and got a room with 2 double beds. Room was not sufficiently cleaned. Bathroom floor not well-cleaned (hair etc on floor); ice bucket not emptied any day I was there. Otherwise sufficient for business.”

• Twin beds are quite small; size of room is ok though.

“Twin beds are only single beds so are a bit small. Excellent location, just steps always from Times Square. We had a 38th floor room which is nice (not much view though coz it's surrounded by tall office buildings). The only complain is that there's no seating area in the lobby, that's very unusual. Overall it's a great hotel.”

“Definitely not a 4 star hotel by any means. The sheets were torn, and stained. The towels also had stains on them. The carpets had not been vacuumed prior to my arrival. There was hair all over the place which was not mine. To top it all off, I have itchy welts all over me. Bed bugs? The only saving grace of this hotel was the concierge service. They were great in providing details of how to get to where we wanted to go. Location also could not be beat. I will not return to this hotel.”

“Nice hotel in a good location for people who like to be close to the scene of shows and hotels. Great views of the city but a little dark and gloomy, not so much family oriented and lacks a bit spunk. I would recommend it specially to business travelers but not to families and not as a romantic getaway.”

• The staff was initially not friendly or helpful. No amenities were included-surprising for a 4-star hotel.

“This hotel was fine. Good location near Times Square and Bryant Park. The front desk staff was initially neither helpful nor friendly and the concierge was not helpful at all, though the doormen were quite good. If this were a 3-star hotel, it would be fine. As a 4-star hotel that offers no amenities, it was a bit of a disappointment. You pay extra for everything: breakfast, room service delivery (add surcharge on top of cost), etc.”

“It was a great location a stone throws from times square, room was big comfy king size bed. The room was clean. Parking is tricky as there is no clear indication that it is valet. Overall I would stay at this hotel again the next time I return to NYC.”

• The bed spread kept sliding off the bed in the middle of the night.

“The Millennium is a 4 star hotel in the heart of the theatre district. It has well appointed guest rooms, a concierge, and a shipping department for mailing home those impulse purchases while in New York. The property was well maintained and very clean. The restaurant/lounge, Charlotte, was very convenient.”
