• We like the convenient location.
• The hotel charge us extra tax for our stay which I have no idea why. Also the first room they gave us smells like the NY subway sewer.

“We are shock at how the bathroom stank; fortunately the hotel staff was able to give us another room. The new room was clean and spacious.”

• Maids had attitude, but hey it's New York.

“Big giant hotel with functional lobby and fast elevators. My room was well-appointed. When I went to Zabar's and got a bunch of food, they were able to bring up a small refrigerator for me to keep it in.”

• The shower stunk. Poor shower head.

“We had a great stay. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean. Had a light bulb out but housekeeping took care of it immediately. Shower head needed replacing but we didn't say anything about it to anyone. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Especially the doormen and the concierge.”

• Great location, friendly staff, large room (especially by New York standards), nice quality, beautiful lobby, etc.
• Room could have used some paint, and they should offer rooms with two double or queen beds.

“The hotel was beautiful and in the perfect location. We expected a small room since we were staying in New York City, but were very surprised when we opened the door. It was a large room with a king-size bed, two chairs, ottoman, dresser, desk, etc. The bathroom was large with a beautiful marble vanity. We were in Times Square, but not right on the main strip. We could walk out the door and be in the heart of everything in less than a minute or head north to Central Park, shopping, and museums and be there in about 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and our room was actually ready when we arrived at 9:00 a.m. Overall, a great stay!”

• The bed was great; the room was small but clean; I would stay there anytime; the location is ideal for mid-town business and shows.
• The ice maker did not work on my floor and the coffee wasn't great.

“The Millennium Broadway Hotel is a perfect home-base for a weekend visit to New York. It's conveniently located between 44th and 45th street in midtown which makes it the perfect starting point to venture off sightseeing in any direction. And after returning from a day on the town it's an easy walk to the best restaurants and theaters.”

• Lobby was beautiful. Location was great.
• Service was slow at restaurant.

“I have stayed here before on business, so I knew that the hotel was "solid". My kids and their babysitter were impressed as was I. Rooms were very clean, tastefully decorated and we had a great view of the Chrysler building. I would always be happy to stay there.”

• This hotel offered a very good location and friendly, knowledgeable service.
• I have been to many hotels in nick and have to say this hotel does not deserve the star rating it has. Not clean.

“If you are looking for a good location and good service this hotel have both. However, it should not be rated a four-star hotel by no stretch of the imagination. Room was not especially clean and I was expecting a bit more for a four-star hotel, especially when you consider other four-star hotels in Manhattan.”

• No character at all, very sterile.

“Very good location, competently run. Rooms showing wear and tear. Older TVs (no flat panels). Lobby is a marble hallway, no seating. Guest floor lobbies are featureless, like a dorm.”

“This hotel met all of my needs for a stay in the city near Times Square. The 2 twin beds were unusual, but adequate. Public areas and restaurant were attractive. Business center needed a complimentary computer for its guests. I would rate this property 3.5 stars. Having to request a coffee maker and towels/washcloths (enough for the 2 people in the 2 bedded room) was inconvenient. Maid service staff were always very friendly, as were the doorman.”

• The Broadway ticket counter at the hotel is very helpful.
• The bed had crumbs and other "stains" in it. It took over half the day for someone to come and clean the sheets. Elevators are very shaky.

“The room was very dirty and the whole experience was just a huge disappointment. Although they claim to be a luxury hotel chain, my husband and I thought Hilton was much more worth our time and money.”

• Less than welcoming feeling. Did not make us feel like our stay was important, felt like an imposition.

“While the hotel was well located and the Bell staff was more than accommodating, that is where my good experience stopped. From the moment I tried to check in until I checked out, I felt as though I was an imposition to the staff. We had a plumbing problem with our room, and had to call the front desk 3 times in 45 minutes to get them to send someone up to take care of it. It wasn't until we asked to speak to the manager that we received action. For being a 4 star hotel, it lacked the feeling of being a 4 star. There was no special treatment from the staff that you would expect staying at 4 star. I have had better experiences staying at a Best Western. While the hotel was clean and beautifully decorated, it was nothing special and I will never stay there again.”

“The worst experience out of over 30 stays at NYC hotels. This started with exceptionally poor customer service! Unfortunately I have another stay in Manhattan booked at a different hotel (Thank God). This is the last time I use this service. Would rather pay full price than deal with customer service reps who are less than rude and unwilling to assist someone with making their vacation enjoyable.”

• Fitness club was adequate. No need to wait for any machine. Restaurant looks attractive. Bell boys very attentive and friendly.
• Lobby, not enough space to sit and wait for guest. No garbage liners, no plastic bag liner for ice bucket,

“I arrived at 1 AM due to airport delay. Although I had requested a non smoking room and prepaid my reservation they did not have one, or at least not one they wanted to release for me. The room stunk so bad I got sick. There was no effort to fumigate the room and I assume because so few rooms are smoking (only 3 floors) the smoking rooms are heavily smoked in. Because I had a 7:30AM meeting I need to get to bed and had no chance to call around for a replacement room. The bedding was of poor motel quality.”

• The location is fabulous.
• The bathrooms are small and sterile.

“The rooms are okay - though our bed was very sloppily made - the sheets were not tucked in nicely and the bed skirt was even tucked in places (instead of hanging). The bathrooms need to be renovated. Location of this hotel is wonderful.”

• The check in process took too long, the a/c did not work.

“The hotel was perfect for our needs-just staying one night. When checking in we were told that because we booked through a 3rd party, the room requested (non-smoking, 2 beds) could not be guaranteed. The room was small, as most nick hotel rooms are, but we did get the room requested. Overall, it was a good, not great experience. I would stay there again, mainly because of the central location.”

• The bathroom was nice and the size of the room and air quality was good.
• The bed wasn't that great--hard--and the pillows were as hard as rocks.

• We were assigned to an occupied room. Then we were assigned to a room with a king when we were told it was two twins.

“On a one to ten rating our overall experience was worst. When we were placed in the wrong room for the second time, I called and said," just send up a rollaway, we are tired of moving, and don't charge us for the rollaway". They replied that they would move us a third time. The third room the carpet was stained and the temperature was literally 100 degrees. We had to control the temperature by adjusting an open window. This is a cheap holiday inn experience wrapped in a marble and granite building.”

“The hotel is beautiful, rooms are nice, clean, and the staff is friendly enough. Watch out for the fine print and don't bother with the restaurant (cold food). Although upon check-in, there were no non-smoking rooms available with a large bed (only a twin was available) even though we contacted the hotel prior to arrival with our request. After 35 minutes waiting at the front desk, the staff tried placing us into a smoking room with a king. One whiff opening the door and we knew we could not stay there. We went back to the front desk and had to wait until a non-smoking room became available; 2 hours later. ”

• The parking situation. The do not have their own parking garage.
