“This hotel was far above my expectations. It is practically brand new, clean, the best stay during our whole trip. It was great.” Aug 1, 2009 by
Maxine from Marion,NC
“This hotel was clean and we felt safe in the area. The internet was very slow but the rates were okay. The breakfast was very sparse. We went to McDonalds instead of eating there at the hotel.” Jul 11, 2009 by
Carol from Callaway,VA
“I took my 6 teen children. We had 2 rooms which looked very nice. My only complaint was that the floors were grimy. I would have liked a little more variety on the breakfast bar, but it had juice, milk, coffee, cereal, one type of muffin, and a waffle maker. The stay was enjoyable. They did start vacuuming a bit early.” Jun 23, 2009 by
Gary from Rockport,TX
“Lousy, terrible, would not recommend to anyone.” Jan 26, 2009 by
Brad from Bolingbrook,IL
“For the money it was ok, but the room needed a thorough cleaning, especially things that don't get cleaned after each stay; such as the carpet, furniture, and chrome, etc. The lobby was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the room itself was sub-par.” Sep 15, 2008 by

“There were flies everywhere, no paper towels in the lobby restroom, and 2 bars of soap in a cup. The only worker for the front desk was doing hotel laundry with the door open. The breakfast area was not clean. I am very unhappy with this experience!

“Room was very spacious. AC was extremely loud! Room faced I-95. Just plain noisy. Hotel was sold out, so could not get another room. Room was very clean.” Aug 16, 2008 by
John from Apex, NC
“Not a bad stay overall, looks like newly revamped motel. The room was clean, however had problems with the bathroom door was not shutting properly and the shower curtain was not hung well so water would spill onto the floor. Smelled a little in the check in lounge.” Aug 12, 2008 by
David from Virginia Beach, VA
“The outside and inside appearance was new looking and cleans. There are several fast food and dine in restaurants nearby. On the downside, there was no pool, and the breakfast was mini-bagels, mini-muffins or cereal.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Fernando from Newport News, VA “For a homeless person is the best but for someone taking his family on vacation is not recommended. From scale 1-10 this hotel is 9.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Edwina from Kitty Hawk, NC
“If we make another trip to King's Dominion and are in need of a suite, we would consider another stay in this hotel because of it's location. We did not partake of the continental breakfast. Both mornings, my husband went down (about 8:30), returned to room, remarked on the nastiness of the food area and the lack of choices. Both mornings, there was no coffee. The one 4-cup packet left by the coffee pot by the maid service was not enough!” Jul 24, 2008 by
Theresa from Rocky Mount, NC
“Very nice staff, an easy to find location, big luxury rooms, will be staying there again and will recommend to others.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Cristina from Salem, OR
“The hotel was clean, all the facilities were adequate. Breakfast was provided, although it needed to contain some protein and whole wheat bread. One strange thing was, I saw the same people who were working at the front desk do the housekeeping in the morning. The first morning, we discovered we did not have any shampoo, which was a first for any motel I have stayed in. I had to ask for one that day; they gave me a tiny bottle which never got replaced. That was just one example of the second-rate service here.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Cathy from Douglasville, GA
“A couple of miles away from King's Dominion park, grocery stores at the exit as well as fast food and a Perkins family restaurant. The bottom of the shower curtain was moldy, staff unfriendly & ultimate in cheap - few towels, no extras for the exercise room. Very limited hours for the amenities, so the stuff rarely is used. I even saw them watering down the juices at the breakfast bar. Overall, nice and clean, but don't expect any more than a bed and a shower with 1 or 2 towels.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Melonie from Roanoke Rapids, NC
“I will not recommend this motel to anyone. We left a day early because we were so unhappy there. We encountered multiple problems. I have stayed in many motels and have never had these issues.” Hotel Representatives:
