• Every staff member that I talked to was very friendly and helpful.
• There really wasn't anything that I didn't like.

“The staff does everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. My room was comfortable and the temperature was easy to adjust (which I appreciate). Every thing was clean and the shampoo, conditioner etc that was provided was very good quality. The bed was very comfortable. I usually can't sleep very well on vacation because of the beds but this was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Allentown area.”

• This is far from a 3-Star hotel. It was dark, dingy, and cramped. Hardly a getaway spot.

“This hotel is far from a 3-Star. My room was dark and dingy, with stains on the ceiling and carpet, and hair left in the bathtub. Staff was very pleasant. The condition of this hotel puts it more in line with a poorly maintained 1- or 2-Star hotel.”

• Rooms were a little on the small side.

“Hotel is in the middle of renovations. Some hallways were a little cluttered with construction debris and workers. That doesn't bother me at all. They have to fix up hotels sooner or later. Liked the hotel and would stay there again.”

• We had to keep going to the front desk because our keys didn't work.

“The pool was closed for 2 1/2 days. A electrical cover was missing over the outlet in the room. We had to have our room keys reactivated 4 times in 3 days. I know this was a 3 star motel, but I liked the Best Western (2.5 stars) and the Red Roof (2 stars) better.”

• Accommodating staff.
• They were in the process of remodeling and I have severe allergies.

“The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The only drawback was that they are in the process of remodeling and I have bad allergies and suffered from them while in the hotel with the dust etc. I made it a point to be out of the hotel as much as possible in the fresh air. I know the hotel will be lovely when it is completed. I gave it a 2 1/2 due to remodeling. Will upgrade to a three star when renovation is complete. Megan was especially helpful as were the bell staff.”

“The bed was sort of lumpy and the stopper in the bathroom sink was difficult to manage; we thought it was stopped up because there was no obvious release for it. Also, it was a very noisy room and there were 2 times in the 2 -3 am zone when we were awakened by noisy neighbors. We called the desk and finally got rest thereafter. But it was not a great experience at all.”

“I read a review from almost a year ago where someone complained about the noise level due to a visiting sports team and that the hotel was under construction. And I feel like I am living through that reviewer again. Is there always a sports convention that runs past midnight and is that front hotel lobby always under construction? The front desk is a makeshift table, no one to help with the bags, definitely not a 3-star.”

• I don't know where to begin. Just awful.

“The hotel was under construction so it was just a mess. The front desk employee who checked me in was rude as well as several other employees. The pillows were lumpy, the AC did not work correctly. The person in the adjoining room was smoking and it was suppose to be a non-smoking hotel. The only thing I did like was the toiletries. I had just driven 13 hours so basically I stuffed a towel under the door between me and the smoker and went to bed.”

“Rooms very pleasant with new carpeting and bedding. The bathrooms are in need of refinishing, they are very small and compact and on the grungy side. Parking area could be bigger, Front desk area is Under construction, so check in is in a small confined area. Customer service was also very poor. I tried three times to get the phone in our room connected, it still isn't. Lots of apologize but no results.”

“The hotel was undergoing renovation in common areas. Lobby and restaurant were closed except for a buffet breakfast in a meeting room. Probably will be more attractive when finished. The general area outside of the rooms was dirty, especially the grounds. Pool was ok, but dated.”

• Good location near Dorney Park. Nice restaurants in area.
• It was under construction at the main lobby when I arrived but that's okay.

• Washer/dryer in hall right outside the room we were in.

“There were 3 people in our other party, so one had to sleep on floor as hotel had no rollaway. The second problem was there was a leak in the bathroom that soaked the carpet in the room where a backpack was sitting and many things got wet including a camera. No ice bucket, a minor problem. Heavy door that slammed shut when people passed through along with dryer going well past midnight made sleep less refreshing. But the hotel itself was clean, in good shape with friendly staff.”

• They will probably lose their Sheraton Flag if were lucky!
• The entire hotel and everyone except a person that works there.

“This is one of those hotels that was remodeled too many years ago. The new remodeling is a gutted lobby, a closed bar, closed restaurant and business center with no sign that anyone has lifted a hammer in quite a while. Star wood used to be a good brand but today they rely on the individual hotel units to solve their own problems. This hotel could care less. It is old, tired with furniture that is way to big for the tiny rooms. The rooms have no closets, you hang your clothes in the wardrobe/coffee cabinet/TV stand. No in rooms safe and really poor cable reception. One thing I found odd was that none of the bathrooms have a singe towel rack. I guess with the black mold in the shower. If you are traveling with a pet this might be the right hotel for your dog, he can join the night long barking with the other dogs. Some advice, drive around the block to the new Holiday Inn Express behind this hotel. It is clean, safe and has a staff that cares.”

“Comfortable hotel with exercise room, saw a swimming pool in fact. Rooms are clean, some with flat screen TV. I love the bed! It is so big, so soft! Walls are thin, and doors too! I was awaken by traffic at 7:30 in the morning. And then, at 8:30, the cleaning crew woke me again knocking on my door! No shower cap in the room, and some supplies are missing. The cleaning crew needs to do a better job! Well, it is a hotel in Allentown, and I guess I should not expect too much! Heard it is the best one already! But they really need to do something about the Boise situation.”

• Extraordinarily helpful concierge tried his best to make things right.
• Construction. Prank phone calls. Loud drunk partiers in the halls. Poorly decorated rooms. Poor security.

“A mostly downscale hotel with an incredibly helpful staff. Sheratons are very much hit or miss as far as room quality, and this one was a miss. The rooms were somewhat run down. The bathrooms had little counterpace. There was construction taking place, along with a fraternity party, patrons (drunks) from the bar loitering in guest room halls, etc., that made the stay all but intolerable. Security was a concern as well. If not for the wonderfully kind and attentive concierge we would have left after the first night. That person deserves a medal and a raise! The pool was great and the Friday and Saturday night dive in movies at the pool area were a great idea. Very family friendly and convenient to the airport. Perhaps when the construction is over we will reconsider, again due to the great staff. But for now it was far less than we hoped for.”
