- Everything was very expensive, $22.00 for breakfast and $3.00 for coffee.

- Free on site parking.
- Very expensive fee to use computer in business center.
“The business center charges a heft fee for use of the computers. This is a big negative in my opinion. I travel often on business and have never encountered this situation before. Also, the business center is off to itself, and doesn't feel totally safe.”

- The staff provided excellent customer service.
- The springs in the bed could be felt.
“The Mclean Hilton is in a great location. We went to celebrate a birthday. The jazz bands on both Friday and Saturday evening in the Opus 88 lounge were excellent. The food we ordered was average. (Only average because the burgers on Saturday were like leather and the Thai chicken on Friday was over cooked and like leather as well). The shrimp and crab dishes were excellent.”

- Excellent staff.

- I loved the atmosphere of this Hilton - is was really lovely.
- The only complaint - on the morning of 4 Oct, there was no
hot water to shower with and had to wait several hours till it was fixed.

- The rooms were very clean and the free weekend bands were a nice touch.
- The elevators were small, room service was very over priced, hosted too many functions.
“This was a nice clean hotel but very busy. In one weekend, they had 3 different functions which made the hotel lobby a pretty busy place. They have a lot of space to hold functions which is fine it meant that a lot of people were in the building in the evening and into the late hours of the night. The room very clean. The bathroom was a bit small but very clean. My only issues with staying in the hotel was the cost, everything is over priced particularly the room service, and the condition of the gym. I have yet to stay at a hotel that charges that much for room service. The food was mediocre, clearly having been reheated and probably premade. For the price I'd expect something significantly better. With respect to the gym, their equipment is not maintained well and much of it is fairly old, particularly their elliptical. Despite the criticisms, however, the hotel was on balance a nice place to stay. The morning breakfast was good, with one exception the service was good, the hotel is in a good location, and the hotel rooms are very well taken care of.”

- The decor was pleasing and the entrance was very impressive.
- There were long hairs - not ours - left on the bed.
“This hotel is in the midst of renovations. It is very attractive and in a good location. It was, overall clean. The room was of an adequate size and was comfortable. I liked that the hotel supplied a small bottle of mouthwash, which we don't usually find. It was a nice touch.”

“It was under reconstruction and was dirty. Our room was supposed to be a queen/non smoking room but it reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was small and the TV table angle could not be adjusted. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody at this point in time.”

- Close to shopping mall and to the Great Falls Park.
- My room did not have a small refrigerator. I could not save any food or drinks for younger children.
“My overall view of McLean Hilton is positive. The hotel is relatively close to Dulles airport and very close to the famous "Great Falls Park" where my family had a picnic and enjoyed the scenic view of the river and fall. The room was very clean, but did not have a refrigerator to keep cold drinks or left-over food for small children who eat and drink all the times. The staff and manager on duty were very helpful and friendly. The morning manager at the restaurant (breakfast time) was extremely friendly and helpful. Finally, the cost of room was a little high and it should have covered at least a free breakfast. If it does happen, I will stay at Mclean Hilton again.”

- The location was extremely convenient to Dulles as well as Tyson's Corner.
- The construction noise was bothersome and they managed to remember my newspaper but not my express checkout bill.
“Not horrible but not great. Mostly, the construction noises put a damper on my hotel experience. Can't argue with the price though, it was relatively cheap.”

- There was no continental breakfast, rooms were dirty, beds, bathrooms.
“We checked in around 3 PM, put our luggage in the room, & left to go see our daughter, the reason for our stay. We returned to the room early that same evening. The room had been entered & was standing wide open. I filled out a security report & found nothing missing. That night we prepared to go to bed & discovered that there was hair all through one of the beds. I did not call because we were exhausted and we slept in the other single bed. When we got up we went down to the Continental breakfast & were told it wasn't. We asked for extra coffee bags in the room, we never got them. Beds were made but never cleaned, & daily the extra blanket was simply tossed in the chair unfolded. Bathroom was never cleaned as near as we could see & the chairs were stained beyond anything I had seen in my life. We opted not to try and deal with the front desk although my daughter came to the room the first night and wanted us to leave for another hotel, the room had a terrible smell. That was never dealt with either.”

- The staff were very cordial, cheerful and friendly. That was nice after a long trip.
- It's not that I didn't like it but I just liked the Marriot Westfield, Chantilly, VA better. Probably because the Westfield is newer.

“The hotel lobby and common area was very impressive. The room was nicely furnished, was clean and looked good. The mattress was too soft and caused both my wife and I to wake up with sore backs both days that we stayed there. The bathroom was in need of repair. The sink "facia" was falling off. The towel rack in the shower was falling down. Some of the wallpaper was starting to peel. The hinges on the door were rusty. The shower had excellent pressure. The glass elevators were a lot of fun. The hotel was nice.”

“This hotel is gorgeous but has little to offer beyond its appearance. This hotel nickels and dimes you to death. A little extra for this and that (example: Internet $12/day). We were told on the phone we would receive a room with a sleeper coach but upon arrival they didn't have any. They offered to bring in a rollaway at check in but I had to call twice.”

- Very nice rooms, neat, very helpful staff, accommodated a late check without disturbance or rush!
- Elevator's rings are a bit loud and can be heard in the rooms. There should be access to a common snack location for late hours.
“Very nice accommodations with neat, clean, well stocked rooms. For some reason we did not have access to the refrigerator. Extremely helpful staff. I especially like and was impressed by the allowing late checkout without nagging or disturbance allowing us to comfortably take our time out. Good experience, I would recommend it!”

- Assistant was extremely helpful and reinforced the dedication to total customer service.
- No complaints!

- Excellent quality, comfortable rooms, delightful ambiance, good location.
- Did not see a ramp into the hotel from the back parking lot.

- Fantastic room and very comfortable beds.
- Need to have a hot whirlpool next to the pool!
“Very upscale inside the lobby area, very accommodating and helped with many directions to different places using their computer. Like I mentioned above, did not have a whirlpool.”

- ?'S answers reflect opinion of hotel; clean, convenient, not too pricey.
- Better bathroom venting; eliminate fake eggs; staff "pep rally".
“We're looking for a place for our many family visits to charlotte. This hotel would be a consideration in our search for future visits.”
