  • The doorman was the friendliest and most helpful person we've ever met at a hotel.
  • Although the room had been redecorated, it still showed some wear and tear.

“It was a nice stay for us and close to the baseball stadium. Not a bad place to stay. If looking for luxury, probably not what one would desire; but fine for a family with small children who wanted to see a baseball game. Three choices for parking. The cheapest site was a covered parking garage just kitty-corner from the hotel.”

  • It's location was the only thing nice about this hotel.
  • It was nothing like I expected for a 31/2 star hotel. CHEAP! DIRTY!

“The hotel was a huge let down. The room was way too small. My husband and I had hardly any room to walk around. The furniture and room decor was cheap and dirty. Everywhere we turned we found belongings from past visitors. The hotel staff was lazy and went out of their way to ignore the guest. It took us 45 minutes to check in and the was no one in line or in front of us, the staff were just to busy talking to one another. The main lobby smelled like a geriatric ward and the restaurant was overpriced and tasted like hospital food. The only positive for this hotel was its location. If you have to stay here I recommend spending as little time in your room as possible.”

“The motel was in a great location. The lobby was beautiful and the restaurant was very nice. The comforters were dirty and stained. The bathtub was old but for the price I will not complain. The rest of the room was very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend Priceline to family, friends and neighbors.”

“The hotel lobby is very impressive. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. However, they were also small with old furniture & fixtures. The bathroom was clean but with old fixtures that needed to be replaced. In general, the rooms need to be completely renovated.”

  • Hard bed, stinky lobby, very cheap linens, small shower, and all extras cost.

“The hotel has no free parking and the valet parking is over $20 a day. No free internet provided. The linens were hospital quality and the comforter felt like cheap curtains. The couch and its pillows were stained. The shower was tiny. The main lobby is beautiful but smells like sewage. They charge like a 4 star but are more like a 2, if that.”

  • The hotel staff were very friendly. We arrived around 1:30pm and check in was not until 4pm but they had a room and allowed us to check in early.
  • The beds were not as comfortable as I expected.

“When we arrived the valet attendant was very helpful. Upon entering the hotel was beautiful. Check in was a breeze. Since we arrived early there was no problem with early check in. Our room however did have a smell my husband smokes and immediately asked me if it was a smoking room. I called the front desk and reported the smell of smoke and they offered to move us to another room immediately. Very courteous staff. The shower was one of the best as far as water pressure goes. When we called for extra towels, shampoo, and pillows they were brought up quickly. Overall we were quit pleased with the hotel. Valet was a little pricey at $22 but worth the convenience.”

  • Close to the ballpark.
  • Rooms were small and bed was not comfortable and decor was out of date, bad showers.

“This hotel was not at the star level that it showed. It listed it as a 3.5 star hotel and I would not go that high. The check in took forever and the line was not much faster for check out. It is very close to the ball parks which makes it nice but if you are trying to go through the front door during check in, you will have a problem with available space to pull in. Rooms were small and felt cramped and the bed was not overly comfortable in the room I stayed in.”

  • Valet parking only; diffucult to get into the limited parking area.

“A very central downtown convenient location only a couple of blocks from Fountain Square and also a walkable distance to the baseball park. Staff very friendly and helpful. The very small space where you pull you car in made for delays in getting the valet parking and thus checking in.”

“When I pricelined the hotel, I indicated that I wanted a hotel that was at least 3.5 stars. Unfortunately, this is not a 3.5 star hotel. Rather, it should be classified as an economy hotel. Adjust expectations accordingly.”

  • Housekeeping ignored one legitimate request, responded positively to another. When did bathroom exhaust fans become extinct?

  • It was a beautiful place.
  • Hard beds, not as clean as I expected. confusing lay out.

“We got to the hotel and things looked wonderful. Then we went to find our room and with the confusing lay out that took a little while. Then we got in the room; I lay on the bed and it was hard as a rock. My son while playing removed a pillow case and found what appeared to be blood on the pillow itself. The bathroom was mainly clean. We ordered room service; food not so good, watched a movie and had valet parking.”

“This hotel was very clean and well maintained. It was located in a perfect location. I thought the check-in process was very slow as there was a line that went through the entire lobby (there were only a few people working at checking people in, despite the fact that there were plenty of stations available). I was most taken back by the room service and the hidden fees that came with it ($32 worth of pizza resulted in $45).”

“Overall our stay was okay. The room was nice and the location was great. There was a lot of confusion at the front desk. Several times we went to our room and the keys did not work and we would have to tremble all the way back down to the desk to get them reactivated. They offered to take care of our parking for us due the struggles we were having, but upon checkout, the person who offered this to us had not put it in the computer. The staff was apologetic at times, but a few others were rude and blameful. For what we thought we were getting, we were disappointed with the service. We would not stay there again because of the chaotic and inconsistent service by the staff.”

“There wasn't even a lounge chair for the room. My partner called downstairs and they said the room didn't have one. The coffee maker was foul. The bathtub had been reconditioned with a plastic liner and surround that was coming off. It felt like you were standing on plastic bubbles. The mattress was hard, although not lumpy. There were no hypoallergenic pillows (I can't use down).”

  • Room was not well cleaned. Pop corn behind the chairs. While newly refurbished the quality of Workmanship was not great. Shower did not drain.

“A hotel that appears upscale on the surface - modern bathroom, wonderful beds, linens etc. It could do with better quality cleaning and workmanship in the rooms. The shower did not drain, one of the plate glass windows was very loose, and there was popcorn from a previous guest behind a chair.”

  • Staff was rude, line to check in and out was huge.

“This is a lovely hotel, but the staff made the trip miserable. The first thing that happened when we got there was the valet opened the car door, then closed it on my foot as I was exiting the car (to make way for another patron) and never apologized (only blamed other patron). Line to check in was huge with only 3 staff (1 of whom left while the line was still huge). Line to check out was equally bad. Not once was I told to enjoy my stay or asked how my stay was. I am glad I was just there to go a ball game and leave and did not need anything more from them than a bed and shower.”

  • The spaciousness of the lobby and lounge/restaurant areas. Parking valet was very prompt and courteous.
  • Room and bathroom quite small. Snack bar at pool closed in the middle of the day.

“Hotel couldn't be more centrally located Downtown. Ballpark and stadium within walking distance. Concierge ever-present. Valet asks for 10 minutes lead but has your car there in 2.”

  • It was overall a very nice hotel classy outer appearance lobby and such.
  • Room looked old shower and bathroom needed touch up clauk and such very small room.

“Staff was superb. Room was right next to pool so was a bit too noisy. Shower was way too hot. Called maintenance and they responded quickly but were unable to fix it. Bathroom was tiny. Lobby was nice. Free WiFi. Overall pleasant experience, but not excellent.”

“This hotel was clean and very nice. It was convenient and had a very nice room. The people there were friendly and very helpful. There were just not enough of them. The front desk was staffed with one person. When we called down for an extra pillow or the pool hours no one answered. They have all the capabilities of a high class hotel. They have put money in upgrading some stuff. I just think they need to put more money into the staff. Or don't claim to be high class.”
