• Location, Ideal for shopping and cruises.
• Cleanliness.

“Overall the hotel was ok. However, the room was In need of a bit of a spruce up. The bathroom and separate toilet (with no hand basin) were In need of a good clean, and the soft furnishings needed replacing or sewing back together.”

  Ability to open windows appreciated.
• Some radio stations not available as per card in room.

“Website doesn't mention parking, but there is a reasonable size car park available.

Lovely to have sheets and blankets, not duvets that slip off in the night. As a result I had the best night's sleep I've ever had in an unfamiliar hotel room.

• good temperature control, good curtains- blocking light, low noise level, everything worked: modem point, shower
• hard to find a single thing to criticise. could hear disco downstairs while in bed, but not obtrusive

“staff were excellent apart from breakfast staff, seemed a bit stressed / not so happy looking. having ironing board in room a first - very welcome. modem point worked faultlessly, couldn't it be a bit quicker than 28bps in this day and age though?”

• Staff available, cheerful, helpful. Hotel clean and comfortable,food excellent.
• Matress too soft

“Hotel was comfortable and everywhere clean to a high standard. Staff were very helpful. Food was excellent and staff very helpful about food allergies
No real complaint except a firmer matress would have been more comfortable
Temperature was very good and not overheated as we have found so many hotels”

• Central, excellent room, breakfast good, swimming pool, efficient staff.
• paying for breakfast.Due to staff shortage in the bar only 1 serving, we had great difficulty in getting a drink and snack.

“i was not aware how much breakfast would be and that it was charged to my room before i had had it. had i known how much it was i would have eaten elsewhere!”

• Simple, uncluttered, clean. Comfortable bed. Settee. Mugs for coffee, Ironing board. Toilet separate from bathroom
• Painted pebbledashed walls with no decoration/Artwork. Definitely not cosy. Dark TV no brightness control

“The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking. Room service had good range but mostly too rich with few healthy options and no sandwiches. Service was prompt however. Sparse surroundings were ok for one night's stay, but would be depressing and uncomfortable for any length of time. The usual flimsy shower curtain, but curved so less of a problem than usual. Tea and coffee supplies weren't too generous, but liked the shortcake buscuits. Limited Sky TV but why do these TV systems have such dark pictures? Are they trying to save money by extending the life of the tubes or something?”
