“The hotel was in a very convenient location and the hotel staff was great.” Oct 20, 2008 by
Leah from Sydney
“Great location, close to transport not overly expensive. Only negative is that they had only a room with 2 single beds. Apart from that I had a great time & the staff was very helpful with the ideas of places I could visit.” Jul 15, 2008 by

“A very interesting location. The hotel is located in the Arab Street Area of Singapore and is very near Buguis Street and it's associated MRT stop. The MRT enables you to conveniently travel to the Orchard Street shopping area, as well as, other parts of this clean and well planned Far-east City State. The staff was very helpful in accommodating our two teenagers in what are basically moderate to slightly small size rooms. We finally were able to obtain a king size bed and paid extra for a cot. If you plan to squeeze more than 2 people into a room, they will most likely provide you two single beds or if you are real lucky, 1 king bed. The only real negative was that the hotel recommended Airport Van Service - needed if you have lots of luggage and don't rent 2 cabs - ended up showing up late for a 4 AM pickup, despite the extra charge - The driver ended up sleeping late, so we got a rocket ride to the airport that left little time to spare! There is also a small mall attached to the hotel, albeit not fancy like many other Singapore Malls, it is convenient and will meet many of your needs unless you are looking for a high end Hermes, Cartier type brand store, which are the norm on Orchard. Overall, a very nice hotel in an interesting area filled with small shops and ethnic eating establishments. Recommended if you don't need the immediate glitz of Orchard with its associated high prices!” Jan 10, 2008 by

“I would recommend this hotel to friends. Should I travel to there again I would stay at the Golden Landmark Hotel.” Jan 9, 2008 by

“This hotel is a very good deal-it's been refurbished recently (September-December 2007), we got free full breakfasts (breakfast buffet including bacon, eggs, toast, omelet station, a few Indian and Chinese dishes, etc.). Our room had a nice view out towards the harbor. The room was a little small (nothing unreasonable), but quite comfortable. Some rooms have safes; all include a minibar that has enough space to store a few other things in the fridge. There's an exercise room as well as a coin-operated washer and dryer. The Raffles Hospital is next door, which is handy for any medical issues. It is across the street from a mosque, but you can't hear the calls to prayer from the rooms-only if you're outside on the street at the time.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 3, 2008 by

“I would recommend it to anyone who wants fine accommodations at a reasonable price.” Oct 24, 2007 by

“A well located hotel, surrounded by parks, shopping & a colorful Arab district. The interior of the hotel is very appealing with the 1st 3 stories, the sound of fountains, and a beautiful pool on the 5th floor. Rooms located above 10th floor have fabulous views of Singapore.” Feb 10, 2007 by

“Great place to stay, close to mrt, pricing would be better if final price is displayed inc gst.” Jun 15, 2006 by

“The staff was very helpful the room clean and the location is fantastic. only a few subway stations in any direction to many locations. also walking distance to Buggies Market and Arab street. pool area nice but the actual pool receives very little direct sunshine. the breakfast buffet for the price is not worth it. eat there only if you can get B.F incl.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 1, 2006 by

“I would not stay there again and would strongly discourage anyone I know from staying there.” 0 of 2 people found this review helpful.Mar 23, 2006 by

“Its an ok hotel and I have never stayed in another hotel in Asia so I dont really have anything to compare it to except American hotels. The rooms are clean and elegantly furnished. The room size is adequate and the bathroom is also fine and clean and everything in good order. It has all of the basics you would expect for a lower priced but descent hotel. The furniture and carpets are older. The hotel has a feeling of being a bit older and forgotten about. There is nothing special or extra about it. It is in a good location, within short walking distance to malls an MRT, is right next to Arab street and what we call a flea market. It is right in the city and one can walk to almost anything if they dont mind walking several blocks. There is lots to see nearby. My biggest complaint was that the rooms were very cold from air conditioning. The air conditioning is on full blast all day when you are out. I realized later that you can leave a key in the light switch in the room, the room keys turn them on and the air conditioning will stay on the setting you put it on. But I didn't realize that until the last day. Also you would have to leave a room key which might not be convenient for some.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
