• It was an experience rather then just a stay. Wonderful!
• We only booked for one night!

“We were a bit nervous having read the reviews! How wrong could we be. The Hotel has had a Cinderella makeover. The rooms have all been refurbished to a very high standard. The mini bar came in handy when we had to store some bottled baby milk. The cot requested was in our room on arrival. The rooms have all been given air conditioning and truthfully are just perfect. The leisure facilities again are superb quality and they even had arm bands for sale for our children as we had forgotten ours. The bar and patio area were excellent. The restaurant food was excellent and even better was the fact it opened at 6.30, again ideal for people with children. The food was great. We have been told this is the last area to be refurbished! WE can't wait to go back and enjoy this.”

• Clean bathroom. Peacefull and quiet.
• Poor general appearance and first impression of the room.

“When I first arrived the television had been left on. The complimentary tea making facilites were unclean, the teapot had been left with cold tea and used teabags inside. There were holes/dents in the plaster in the walls.
For the cost of the room ('140 without discount) I was extrememly unsatisfied with the general shoddy appearance of the room.
When I complained to the front desk in the morning I checked out no apology was made, but the staff member did say she would speak to housekeeping about the problem.
Based on my one experience I would not recommend this hotel.”

• The staff where keen to please especially the Breakfast & bar staff. Great Breakfast selection,, very impressed
• rooms very tired, in need of refurb, bed was the most uncomfortable ever slept in

“This hotel has the potential of being a really great hotel, The staff are all eager to please & the location is good but the rooms are in desperate need of updating, the heating could not be turned off so the room was extremely hot, the bed must of been 20 + years old, lumpy & uncomfortable, bathroom was very badly nicotene stained, blankets sheets and throws all made the bedroom further dated, I would argue this hotel is a 2 star for comfort and quality,”

• Quiet room in a nice well situated hotel.Easy parking

“Very happy with the hotel. Room clean and comfortable.The only obvious defect was a lamp shade which was frayed. Made good use of the excellent leisure facilities.”

• Clean, good standard hotel. Well located for M1 motorway.
• No mini-bar ! Maybe that's a good thing.

“The hotel is what you would expect in the UK for this price range. The staff are efficient and friendly as one would hope. If needing to visit Sheffield, particularly the Southern side I would reccomend it.”

• the staff were very friendly and accomodating
• should of been more specific online about the room, we wanted a double not twin

• The room had eveything except a shower cap!! The leisure club was lovely!
• None

“We found it all very good.I just wish we had had more time. We were attending our daughter's graduation ceremony and time was tight. I found the swimming pool and facilities excellent but the doors needed clearer labelling to know where everything was.
Thanks for a relaxing stay.”

• Large bedroom area - but only because it was 3 bedroom suite
• Bathroom shower curtain did not give enough room when showering.

“Breakfast food was generally not hot enough but evening meals were excellant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room cleaning service was good except that a personal towel was also removed and could not be found later.
Car park facilities were good but noticed the barriers were often not closed down - this led to a feeling of a less than secure parking.
The leisure facilities were OK but rather small and begining to show the signs of age.”
