Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[4] • Location:[5]

  • Great view of the river Seine.
  • The room was very small.

“In general the hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. The rooms are very small with few amenities. There is no iron or ironing board in the room. There was only one chair. The shower did not have a screen but only a partial glass door. The bathroom was very small. From the external appearance it is clear that the hotel was built several decades ago. No business traveler should stay here ever. The hotel is designed to meet the needs of Japanese tourists (not a racist statement but rather a statement of fact.) The menus in the elevator are in French, English and Japanese. The restaurants lean in the direction of Japanese food. This is not a three star hotel. Don't stay here ever unless you are Japanese and like very small rooms and very poor service and you have money to waste.”

  • The view.
  • It wasn't clean, the room was small and beyond dirty and the staff was rude and incompetent!

“This hotel was horrible! It was not clean! Even when we showed the staff the hairs in the bed that we had simply opened to check. They failed to understand what the problem was. The carpet looked as though it had survived 100 years of fraternity parties and the pillows were of the same size and covered in the material as airline pillows, (maybe they saved money by stealing them from plane rides). This hotel was horribly disappointing! While the view and common areas were nice, and the tiny room may have been tolerable, it was not a four star hotel nor worth the four star price. I strongly caution anyone who simply wants a nice, clean place to stay, not to stay here!”

  • The location was good.
  • The rooms were small.

“I'd say this is a 3-star hotel max. While the lobby and the restaurants give an upscale feel, the rooms themselves are small, not totally clean (marks on walls, some older furniture, etc.). It's in a decent location. But the immediate surrounding area is not that nice. A sort of failed development complex from the 70s it seems. I would never pay full price for this hotel.”

“For a 4 star hotel, the main area was all that was a 4 star. It was beautiful and inviting. Recently renovated. Upon entering the room it was small. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. Both didn't even equal one. The carpet was much stained and bath had water stains and was dirty. I was not impressed at all! I would not recommend the hotel to others!”

“The hotel is very nice. The lobby is ultra modern and the views (I was on a high floor facing the Sien river) are to die for. The only issue is that it was about a 10-15 min walk from the metro and a 15 min walk from the Eiffel tower. If you don't mind walking, this hotel is for you. I would recommend it to all!”

  • The hotel's common areas were very nicely built and well-kept.
  • Pool use costs extra and the room was very plain.

“The Tour Eiffel is a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tour and a 5 minute walk from two separate metro lines. The hotel provided warm service and 4-star facilities in its general areas. One major downfall was the 7 Euro charge per person to use the pool or saunas. There was a 20 Euro charge to use the exercise equipment. The final downfall, although nicely kept, the standard room was quite plain, with hardly a picture on the wall, a simple white painted room and a plain white comforter with white pillows on the bed.”

“The hotel is nice and recently renovated. The people in the front desk and concierge are fluent in English and very helpful. However, the location is a problem because you need to walk around 5 big blocks or almost 10 minutes to get to the nearest Metro Station. There are no restaurants or supermarkets beside the hotel, you have to walk to the Metro Station to find small coffee shops and a supermarket.”

  • For the price, the hotel was decent, basic and relatively clean.
  • Too many people, wouldn't choose the area again (but not bad), cheap furniture, no frills, very thin walls.

“For the price, not a bad place. It is a basic room with very basic, cheap furniture. The rooms are cleaned daily, but there are so many people coming through the hotel that the rooms show it a bit. The location is okay, relatively convenient to the metro; but overall, it is not a destination area I would choose again. If you are planning to spend much time in the room, I would not recommend this, but we used it simply as a place to sleep, and for that, it is basically okay, but let it be known that the walls there are paper thin. Can hear people next door and upstairs, vacuums, everything. So if you're planning to sleep in, go somewhere else.”

Only negative was that location was not good for tourist. The Eiffel Tower was a good 10-15 minutes walk, without much foot traffic in the area (so didn't seem the most secure at night). • The location was perfect for us. It was out of the way of the general traffic of Paris, but a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.
  • There was no elevator from the ground level to the lobby and an iron needed to be reserved ahead of time and cost $20.

“The location was great, the staff friendly, and the rooms were clean and especially spacious for Europe. We were stunned to find there was no elevator from the entrance to the lobby which meant we had to take all of our luggage up an escalator. Also, when we called for an iron they didn't have any left, which is mildly understandable, but then they said they had to be reserved early, and were 20 Euros a day. Overall for what we paid it was a good value, but the regular rate is over $400/night. If I had paid even half of that I would have demanded an iron and someone would have carried my bags for me.”

“This is a nice hotel located right on the Seine River and only a ten minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, which can be seen from the hotel entrance. Considering the cost of the average 4 star hotel in Paris, the prices are reasonable (but still high). The rooms are clean well appointed, but small which is very typical of European hotel rooms. The staff is friendly and speaks several languages to include English, German, Chinese, French, Italian and several others.”
