• The people was nice but the room was a whole another story.
• This was a 4 star hotel and i had better nights stays at motel 6 and that is being honest.

“My spouse and I were extremely happy with the hotel. It had clean rooms and the staff was very helpful. Probably more of an attraction for business travelers, but we were on our honeymoon and had no problems whatsoever.

• Full amenities like gym, executive lounge, concierge and restaurants and bars.
• Hallways need renovation, paint chipped and eroded on baseboards on our floor in some spots.

“Professionally run Marriott. Prompt, friendly and courteous service. Any inquires made were give prompt and full attention with follow up from staff to make sure everything went smoothly.
Convenient location to metro. Taxis usually waiting at front door. Large hotel with a lovely neighborhood feel. Great local restaurants.”

• Location is just fine, but I would have preferred the Marais.

“Clean, quiet, modern hotel. Efficient and friendly staff. The location is interesting enough there are places to shop and eat nearby (a short walk to the Place Denfert-Rochereau), but it is not really in the heart of the action. In any event, it is quite close to the Metro and therefore accessible to everything. My room had a beautiful view to the south. No complaints here.”

• Staff, executive lounge and breakfast, concierge experience and attitude, housekeeping helpfulness when required.
• Location is out of mainstream.

“Very clean, helpful and courteous staff especially front desk, concierge, and housekeeping. Good executive lounge access for late access. Left my dinner jacket and went to Zurich. Housekeeping found it and overnighted the jacket at hotels expense. Quite surprising but based on experiences probably the norm for a quality customer based facility.”

• The quality of the hotel was good given its Marriott Flag.
• The hotel is not true in what is typically considered the "Left Bank".

“Although the hotel is technically left of the Seine, it is not located in either the 5th or 6th arrondissement typical of what is referred to as the "Left Bank". It is however, convenient to both the metro and rail service to the CDG Airport. You will get a quality room because of the branding, but the stay is not romantic.”

• Small complaint could have been a little closer to the heart of Paris.

• The view was fantastic. Room very comfortable, sound proofing great as we heard no outside noise.
• Toilet separate from bathroom in small space - would have referred them together.

“Quiet location next to a Metro station, therefore easy to get to any of the sights. Five minutes walk from restaurants and bars. Fantastic views from room of the whole city. Beds were very big and extremely comfortable with luxurious bedding. Room size was good. Staff pleasant and very helpful.”

• Comfortable beds, quality linens, clean rooms & common areas and a professional staff.
• Location was a small hike to all the tourist attractions in Paris.

“This hotel may not be right in the middle of all the action, but with a 5 minute brick walk you can find yourself in the beautiful Latin Quarter. The comfort and professionalism of this hotel far outweighs the extra small walk. Voted by my wife and I as the most comfortable bed in all of our hotels we stayed in, in our 18 race around Paris and Italy. We did not have the time to use the gym, but it looked nicer than any hotel gym I've ever seen. 2 Thumbs up.”

• Within 4 mins easy walk of underground station.
• Prices in restaurant were high for lunch.

“Well worth staying in if you don't mind traveling by underground to the major sights. Otherwise it is a beautiful walk to the Sorbonne, Pantheon, Saint Germain areas. The buildings are so wonderful along the route. The Luxembourg gardens are surprisingly close if you use the smaller streets past the Observatory. It was perfect for us. Don't think I'd recommend it as a family hotel though. The hotel was very clean, restaurant was fairly expensive, 50 for 2 main fish dishes, glass of wine and bottle of water. Overall we had a pleasant experience. There are plenty of cafes on route into the centre of town so I would recommend avoiding the expensive breakfast in the hotel.”

• Very helpful and competent staff, able to speak English.
• Windows in rooms would not open, so it was a little stuffy, and there is no pool or spa.

• Internet access was way too expensive.

“I would consider staying at the Marriott again. The only reason I would not is the location. It's safe and convenient to the RER train line (if you're coming from CDG), but not as close to the things that we were interested in seeming as it could have been. Americans will feel right at home here. All of the staff speaks reasonable English and all of the Hotel literature is in English as well as French.”

• Not as good as other Marriott I've stayed. Bath tub not clean and there's mold in the corner.

“I was first given probably the worst room in the hotel upon arrival. The room was very small with a tiny window of 2`X2'. complained to front desk. Then was given a room with regular size window but dirty bath tub with mold in the corner. This Marriott is definitely not comparable to other Marriott's I've stayed.”

• Very clean, well appointed, helpful staff, great bathroom.
• Breakfast not included, internet access for additional fee, although it's available in any room.

“You really can't go wrong with Marriott and this hotel didn't disappoint. Room was large, well appointed, wonderful bathroom facilities. We were told not to expect much in terms of shower in Paris, but this one was wonderful. Hotel is close to 3 Subway stations, so it took us at most 25 min to get to any tourist areas. The whole staff was courteous and ready to help with any requests. Concierge was very helpful. While I wouldn't call it a "romantic" hotel or "kids friendly" hotel, it served out needs, met and exceeded almost all our expectations. The only things I would change: internet should be available free of charge in any room - I would also include breakfast into the charge, like almost all Paris hotels do - it's much more convenient.”

• The walls are not sound proofed between rooms, and nothing about the hotel feels French.

• Close to 2 metro stops, friendly staff, good views from floors 10 and above.
• Internet was ridiculously expensive (20 euros a day).

“This was a really nice hotel. Although it is a long walk to the St. Michel area, it is a less than 5 minute walk to the nearest metro, so that was great for us. Our room was quiet and had a good view of some surrounding sites. There are a few good restaurants near (particularly the wood oven pizza place) which was very nice after a long flight. Overall, this was a great hotel in a great city.”

• We really liked the convenience of the 2 Metro stations.
• Beds were tiny, unless you get a suite.

“This hotel suits our needs. It's a good distance away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of Paris. We like a little solitude in the evening after being in the thick of crowds all day. The two Metro stops just a couple minutes walking distance from the hotel made it very convenient to get back into the main part of the city. Very clean, great professional staff, but teeny weenie beds and room, as expected of most all Paris hotels.”

• Seems like a lot of tour groups use this hotel, which made service not the fastest.

“The hotel was great. Let me check in early and all of the staff spoke English. The room had a great view and the subway station and bank was very close. Also there were several restaurants around the hotel which made things convenient.”

• Great rooms and amenities. Great flat screen TV, and great Ice machines, great elevators!
• Concierge was a little snooty. They were pushing their restaurant and were not willing to recommend others in the area.

“This hotel was beyond our expectations. The hotel facilities and room are top quality. The room was one of the most comfortable that I have stayed in and had some very nice extra touches. The restaurant was priced really high. I did try some pastries and snacks from the bar area that were really good but also pricey. We ordered room service one night and it was good but pricey. The hotel is located between 2 Metro stops and there are grocery stores, patisseries, and restaurants nearby.”

• The hotel was very close to two Metro stops which took us all over the place.
• It was a little difficult to understand the concierge, although he was very helpful.

“The hotel lived up to expectations for a Paris 4-star hotel. The staff was courteous, but maybe they could have been friendlier. We were at the hotel for 8 nights and you would have thought they would have recognized us when we came into the hotel every night, but that was not the case. Also the door men could have opened the doors for us when we came in at night after they'd cordoned off the automatic doors. My husband had vertigo the first day or so because of the way the window was slanted to conform to the contour of the room, which affected his balance. The room was a lot smaller than the Marriott hotel we were in Berlin so we couldn't help comparing the two.”

• The service was excellent! The beds were super comfortable!
• It was more of a business or large group orientated hotel.

“I think the Paris Marriott was fabulous. The service was friendly and efficient. The bar and design was modern. They made you feel at home and even provided electrical converters for united states appliances. Even though there were not many attractions near this hotel, I would visit again.”

• Dependable, reliable quality associated with Marriott; never substandard.
• Further away from central Paris than wanted. Takes several train changes to get to main parts.

“Very popular amongst airlines as at least three different flight crews (including my American Airlines crew) were in attendance. Also, lots of solo business travelers and couples without children. My room was a bit cramped for a Marriott and the toilet being in a separate room from the vanity was a pain, but overall Marriott delivered another clean, high-quality, 4 star hotel for which they are reputed. Would definitely stay here again.”
